Abstract

The researchers developed a bio-composite film material that serves as a substitute for metal. The materials used are TEMPO ((2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl)), Bacterial Cellulose, and Polypyrrole (Ppy). This research aimed to increase the material's current density and specific capacitance values using the drawing method. Composite nanomaterials are made by oxidizing BC (Bacterial Cellulose) with TEMPO. The resulting TOBC (TEMPO Bacterial Cellulose) material was mixed with Ppy using the in situ method. The mixture is then drawn wet—measurement of current density and capacitance using Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) Testing. The current density and specific capacitance results increased by 542.74% and 754.79% after drawing the nanocomposite material. It is directly proportional to the effects of characteristic testing, which includes SEM, XRD, and FTIR. As a result of the withdrawal of the polypyrrole, it will be more evenly distributed in the composite material, absorbing and coating the nata de coco. The researchers concluded that when the TOBC/Ppy fibers are straighter and denser, they achieve higher current density and capacitance values.

Abstract

Happiness is important in maintaining the stability of human resources, including in the educational sector. However, studies on happiness at work are still neglected. In the organizational scale, the discussion on happiness is compelling as it relates to work achievement or productivity. Moreover, studies on factors affecting happiness at work are still limited, especially in teachers who work under the auspices of Muhammadiyah. The present study determines the influence of work passion, servant leadership, and perceived organizational support on teachers' levels of happiness in the workplace. The study used quantitative research with a correlation method. The research population is the teachers of 54 Muhammadiyah schools in Yogyakarta. The sample was determined using proportional cluster random sampling with 28 schools and 263 teachers. The instruments evaluated were work passion (α=0.975), servant leadership (α=0.952), perceived organizational support (α=0.869), and happiness at work scales (α=0.877). The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that work passion, perceived organizational support, and servant leadership influence Muhammadiyah teachers' happiness at work in Yogyakarta. Abstract

Sustainable ecosystem services are increasingly recognized amid rapid regional transformation. While the rate of urbanization in China continues to rise, there is an urgent need to evaluate public preferences and their associated economic values concerning urban green space (UGS). The aim of this study was to calculate the overall willingness-to-pay (WTP) for UGS across China. Literature search was performed systematically on Scopus, Scilit, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases on 11 November 2023. Studies reporting the WTP in China were included in the analysis. Quality of the included studies were appraised by using Q-SSP tool consisting of 20-item quality of survey studies in psychology. To calculate the overall willing to pay rate and WTP, a meta-analysis was performed using restricted maximum-likelihood model on raw proportions. A total of nine studies were included comprised of 9381 valid responses with high quality according to Q-SSP (score: 70–90%). Findings from the meta-analysis indicated that the rate of willing to pay for UGS was 70.8% (95%CI: 60%, 82%; p-Het<0.001, I2= 99.37%). The rate was not affected by sample size, age, gender, and education (p>0.05). Among mainland Chinese population alone, the average minimum WTP was 2.97 USD/month, and increased to 3.36 USD/month if combined with Hong Kong population. A majority of over 70% Chinese population were willing to pay for UGS. Nevertheless, high heterogeneity in the pooled estimates suggest the importance of addressing contextual variables and presence of regional disparities.

Abstract

Children's supplements are products widely offered by drug manufacturers. Their benefits and uses are essential for supporting the growth and health of children. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research in Indonesia examining the relationship between parental demographic factors and attitudes towards purchasing children’s supplements. This study employs a mixed-method approach to investigate the impact of demographic factors on attitudes toward purchasing children’s supplement products, aiming to fill the research gap. A total of 124 parents from diverse backgrounds participated as respondents, with 29.8% being male and 70.2% female. Their education levels ranged from high school (7.3%), bachelor’s degree (26.6%), master’s degree (50%), to doctoral degree (16.1%). The results of the regression analysis indicate that only income level plays a positive role in shaping attitudes towards purchasing children’s supplements. Notably, 89.5% of respondents believe in the benefits of these supplements. This study highlights the influence of income level on buying attitudes regarding children’s supplements. Future research should consider a larger sample size to better represent the population.

Abstract

The level of taxpayer compliance is still low in submitting the Annual SPT. There are still many taxpayers who have not implemented or utilized the use of the e-filing system. The formulation of the problem is whether the application of the E-filing system has an effect on taxpayer compliance in submitting annual tax returns at the North Sumatra DGT Regional Office. The results of this study are based on simple linear regression analysis, the variable of the application of the e-filing system has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance in submitting the Annual Income Tax Return in the Regional Tax Office of North Sumatra I. This can be proven by the Adjusted R Square value obtained by 0.869, which means that the effect of implementing the e-filing system on taxpayer compliance is 86.90%. The remaining 13.1% is influenced by other factors other than the factors used in this study. based on the results of the t test, the significance value of the hypothesis is smaller than the level of significance, namely 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the implementation of the e-filing system has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance in the North Sumatra Regional Tax Office I.
