Abstract This research aims to determine the effect of understanding Indonesian on students' academic abilities, especially in the Computer Based Writing Examination (UTBK) subtest which focuses on reading comprehension and literacy. Considering the important role of Indonesian in the teaching and learning process and academic assessment, this research identifies the extent to which language mastery influences students' ability to analyze information and answer questions correctly. Using a qualitative descriptive study method with a Google Form questionnaire, this research was conducted on new students at the National Development University "Veteran" East Java. The survey results show that mastery of Indonesian has a significant effect on subtest success. This research emphasizes the importance of developing critical thinking skills and text analysis in Indonesian language learning to support students' academic success. Keywords: Indonesian language, Academic, UTBK Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemahaman Bahasa Indonesia terhadap kemampuan akademik siswa, khususnya dalam subtes Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK) yang berfokus pada pemahaman bacaan dan literasi. Mengingat peran penting Bahasa Indonesia dalam proses belajar mengajar dan penilaian akademik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi sejauh mana penguasaan bahasa memengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam menganalisis informasi dan menjawab soal dengan tepat. Menggunakan metode studi deskriptif kualitatif dengan kuesioner Google Form, penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa baru Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan Bahasa Indonesia berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan subtes. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan analisis teks dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk mendukung keberhasilan akademik siswa. Public officials must be able to communicate and be responsive in a variety of languages to improve their ability to produce public communication content that is interesting, more concise, contained, innovative and creative. Understanding various languages is very important to master, because Indonesia consists of many tribes, each tribe has its own language. Language must be accompanied by ethics and norms. Ease of accessibility and public services in various languages is very important to increase information openness and increase public participation in the decision-making process. In this way, the government can increase information disclosure and increase the public's ability to access information that is relevant to their needs.

Communication and language are like important foundations to support various aspects of life. Language that is used effectively and according to a particular situation can give an expressive impression so that it can be well understood by the person you are talking to. As is the case with teenagers in Surabaya, even though they tend to use the typical Surabaya Javanese language known as boso suroboyoan, they still use Indonesian in certain situations. Therefore, our aim in conducting this research is to analyze patterns of influence on adolescent communication in Surabaya using qualitative methods which involve collecting and assessing journal sources and scientific papers as well as distributing questionnaires to search for adolescent respondents in Surabaya. This method is aimed at getting perspectives from Surabaya teenagers regarding the language that is often used in everyday communication.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Take and Give model assisted by flashcards on IPAS learning outcomes in third grade elementary school. This study is based on the need for interactive and effective teaching methods to improve student learning outcomes, especially in the IPAS teaching environment in the fundamental phase of education. This study applied a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, involving third-grade students at SDN Bluru Kidul 2. Data collection was obtained through observation of student activities, student learning outcomes, and student response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using simple regression tests, n-gain tests, and student response analysis. The results of the study showed a significant and positive effect of the Take and Give model with flashcard media on IPAS learning outcomes, with an increase in the experimental group with an average of 86.57%, which was higher and more effective than the control group with an average of 70.11%. Additionally, students demonstrated a positive response to this teaching model, as evidenced by an average student response rate of 80.4%. This indicates that the Take and Give model supported by flashcards can be an effective option for enhancing learning outcomes while motivating active student participation in learning activities.

This research aims to investigate the influence of social media, such as Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram, on the creativity of students at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at UPN Veteran East Java. The research method used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to a sample of students who are members of the Faculty of Architecture and Design. The results of this research show the significant influence of social media on student creativity in the context of architecture and design. Apart from that, this research also identified differences in the influence of different social media platforms on aspects of student creativity. It is hoped that these results will provide further insight into how social media influences the creative thinking patterns of architecture and design students. In conclusion, this research contributes to the understanding of the impact of social media on creativity among architecture and design students. The implications of this research can be used as a basis for developing a more effective approach to utilizing social media positively to increase creativity and quality of work in the future.

In today's digital age, social media is growing at a rapid pace, making it accessible to all ages, from young to old. Instagram is one of the most widely used social media platforms. Instagram functions as a social media application that displays content mainly through photos and videos. The development of social activities on Instagram has led to many new things, one of which is the emergence of the word “celebgram”. The role of celebrities in marketing makes products/services easily recognized and known by the public because the celebrities themselves are already quite famous and known. This study aims to describe the language used in the Instagram account @piitaak and the impact of its use on the existence of Indonesian language. This research uses descriptive method because it can identify, describe, and analyze language errors in the Instagram promotion strategy of celebrity @piitaak. @pitaak account aka “Vita” likes to use a mixture of languages, between Indonesian and Javanese which is a characteristic of this celebrity from Gresik. it seems to be successful as one of its marketing strategies, so that it can establish a closer relationship with its followers.

With the advent of social media, the way people interact and communicate has changed. Social media can also make people speak or comment freely, which can have a negative impact on the person concerned. Behind the benefits provided, social media certainly has disadvantages, one of which is that it is often misused by irresponsible parties. Social media is often used as a medium for spreading hatred. The problem that often arises is the emergence of hate speech or hate speech, which is now increasingly prevalent. The purpose of this study is to find out which social media has the highest level of hate speech. Using a quantitative approach descriptive type, this study distributed questionnaires to respondents and and through direct analysis through social media accounts of Indonesian artists. The results showed that respondents often found hate speech in the comments section of TikTok and X, followed by Instagram. Bullying posted on social media is the most common type of speech found and the fastest spreading hate speech is on social media X.

In a continually evolving digital landscape, influencers play a pivotal role in shaping consumer behaviors. This research focuses on analyzing the language strategies employed by influencers in their marketing content. From the use of creative language styles to tailored keyword usage, this study highlights how language serves as a primary tool in capturing attention, building brand identities, and influencing audience mindsets. Apart from considering the language strategies utilized by influencers, this study also delves into the impact of language usage on their followers. This analysis sparks a discussion on how audiences perceive various types of language used in influencer marketing content. The influence of language on the perception of promoted products or services and purchasing decisions takes center stage in this research.
