Abstract

Arabic is a foreign language which is a compulsory subject in Madrasas, therefore learning Arabic is a superior program in madrasas which differentiates it from other public schools. Arabic language learning in Indonesia in particular is currently experiencing an increase, various innovations are starting to be made, one of which is developing teaching materials according to the needs of madrasa students. Developing teaching materials seems to be something that teachers must do in order to attract students' interest in learning Arabic. Some textbooks that are often used by schools are basically textbooks that originate from the Middle East. Even though there has been textbook development carried out by Arabic language teachers and developers, there are still very few who pay attention to students' needs in learning Arabic. The research will begin with coordination and interviews with the school principal to find out Arabic language learning achievements, who will then conduct interviews with teachers and students regarding their tendencies to learn Arabic, students' backgrounds and observations of the Arabic language learning tools used. Next, carry out a needs analysis as a basic material for developing Arabic teaching materials for Madrasah Al Birru Ponorogo students. The output of the research is in the form of scientific articles which will be published in reputable journals in the field of Arabic language education such as Al-Bayan, and so on.

Abstract

This study examines the methods of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) implemented in inclusive classes at Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo High School. This topic is significant as inclusive education demands teaching strategies that accommodate the diverse abilities of students, including those with special needs, ensuring equitable access to religious education. The aim of this research is to analyze suitable PAI teaching methods for inclusive classes and assess their effectiveness in improving students’ understanding of religious material. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis related to the implementation of PAI in inclusive classes. A participatory approach is also utilized to explore the experiences and challenges faced by teachers in teaching inclusive classes. The findings reveal that individual needs-based teaching methods, such as differentiated instruction, curriculum adaptation, and the use of interactive learning media, greatly assist students with special needs in comprehending PAI material. Teachers play a critical role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. These methods have been proven to enhance student participation in the learning process and facilitate a deeper understanding of religious teachings. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of developing teachers’ capacities to manage inclusive classes, particularly in PAI subjects. This research also contributes to improving inclusive education practices in Indonesia by providing recommendations for madrasahs and other educational institutions to pay greater attention to the needs of inclusive students in religious education processes.

Using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design in a large group, this training was carried out for one week with 2 sessions per meeting lasting 60-120 minutes. The material was delivered using the concept of experiential learning through lecturing, audio-visual, written assignments, discussions, games, and reflection. The participants were parents of students aged 30-50 years old from Sanggar Bimbingan Kampung Baru Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Psychological well-being is measured using The Ryff Scale of Psychological Well-being. Analysis of quantitative data showed significant differences between before and after training, proving that the level of psychological well-being improved after HERO training was administered.

Abstract

Moral crises continue to affect both educational and governmental institutions in Indonesia, undermining students’ moral development and damaging institutional reputations. In contrast, teachers at State Vocational High School 2 Pacitan have played a significant role in fostering commendable moral values, thereby reducing instances of immoral behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in moral education and identify the steps involved in promoting commendable character at the school. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving interviews with the principal, vice principal, and students, as well as observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed through description, classification, interpretation, and theorization. The findings highlight that teacher act as facilitators, motivators, and role models by integrating knowledge, practice, habituation, advice, motivation, personal guidance, and religious activities. These practices were conceptualized into a “habitus model” of moral education, derived from Pierre Bourdieu’s sociological theory of habitus. This model emphasizes the formation of moral dispositions through consistent experience and interaction within the school environment. Key aspects include fostering value awareness, shaping behavioral dispositions, and promoting consistent moral practice. The model is operationalized through the 5M steps: knowing the good, habituating the good, loving the good, desiring the good, and doing the good.

The results of this research show that the acculturation of Islamic religious education and Nyadran culture is an integrated relationship in community life. Nyadran is a social form of society, unity and solidarity are the main patterns of this culture.
