Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of team work, communication competence and competency on the lecturers’ work quality. The research approach was quantitative and the analysis method used was path analysis. The research instrument consisted of a structured survey questionnaire developed based on the operational definitions of the key variables, to measure the specified constructs. The research was conducted at Universitas La Tansa Mashiro (UNILAM), Banten using survey with the samples of 93 lecturers being selected randomly. The research findings showed that: (1) team work has positively and significantly affected the work quality; (2) competency has positively and significantly affected the work quality; (3) team work has positively and significantly affected the competency; (4) communication competence has positively and significantly affected the competency. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that enhancing the work quality of lecturer can be done through strengthening team work and competency.  It was also obtained that work quality was not significantly influenced by communication competence, which implied that the direct effect of communication competence on the work quality was not supported by empirical data in this research.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of forest and land fire prevention policies in Banyuasin Regency. This research aims to examine the implementation of forest and land fire prevention policies in the Banyuasin Regency area. This research applies a qualitative approach to analyze the implementation of forest and land fire prevention policies in Banyuasin Regency. The results of this research, the success of the implementation of forest and land fire prevention policies in Banyuasin Regency can be seen from the decrease in the number of hotspots in 2016 when compared to 2015. This decrease occurred due to good cooperation between the Regency government, the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Manggala Agni Daops Banyuasin, the community, and other related parties in efforts to prevent forest and land fires in the Banyuasin Regency area. In addition, the establishment of several villages that care about fires in the Banyuasin Regency area and the high community response in efforts to prevent forest and land fires. Obstacles in preventing forest and land fires are mainly related to communication and transportation access. Meanwhile, factors that support the prevention of forest and land fires are the availability of equipment and human resources ready to help prevent forest and land fires.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and promotional strategies on customer satisfaction of Somethinc skincare products on the Shopee e-commerce platform. The growth of e-commerce has transformed consumer behavior, especially in skincare products, which face intense competition. As a local brand, Somethinc is required to build a strong brand image and implement effective promotional strategies to maintain customer satisfaction. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey of 97 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27 through validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with T-tests and F-tests. The results show that brand image has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, while promotional strategies have a negative and significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect customer satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of a strong brand image and appropriate promotional strategies in enhancing consumer satisfaction. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh citra merek dan strategi promosi terhadap kepuasan pelanggan produk skincare Somethinc di e-commerce Shopee. Perkembangan e-commerce telah mengubah perilaku konsumsi masyarakat, khususnya pada produk skincare yang semakin kompetitif. Somethinc sebagai merek lokal dituntut membangun citra merek yang kuat serta strategi promosi yang efektif untuk menjaga kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan survei terhadap 97 responden. Analisis data dilakukan dengan SPSS versi 27 melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, serta regresi linier berganda dengan uji T dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra merek berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, sedangkan strategi promosi berpengaruh negatif signifikan. Secara simultan, keduanya berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya citra merek yang kuat dan strategi promosi yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen.

Abstract

The formerly studies regarding the effectiveness of teaching using a mobile phone on students’ vocabulary mastery are widely discussed. While the process of how students acquire that vocabulary from a mobile phone is barely touched. That’s why the purpose of this study is to investigate the process of students acquiring English vocabulary from mobile phone use and whether the students comprehend the meaning of the vocabulary that they acquire or not. The design of this study employed study case design. The subject of this study was 7 students at a fourth-grade elementary school. The observation and interview were used for data collection. The research results demonstrated that mobile phone has great potential as an instructional tool for acquiring English vocabulary. The findings also indicated that the process of acquiring English vocabulary is caused by two factors. The first is psycholinguistic factors and the second is social factors. The finding indicated that the psycholinguistic factors hold the significant one. It can be seen from the repetition and exploration done by their own self in acquiring the English vocabulary. While the social factor such as people around them (their parents and friends) have less contribution in assisting them in acquiring the English vocabulary. Regarding the comprehension of vocabulary that they acquired, the findings suggested that three students understand and know the real meaning of most of the English vocabulary that they gained from daily mobile phone use. While the rest (four) students knew the words only based on words function without knowing the real meaning of each English word. Generally, findings clearly showed that mobile phones facilitated students in acquiring English vocabulary independently.

Abstract

Teknologi internet yang menawarkan jasa e-commerce telah mengubah gaya hidup mahasiswa, khususnya mahasiswa Universitas Pamulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya hidup Mahasiswa Universitas Pamulang akibat adanya e-commerce dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakngi mahasiswa melakukan pembelian melalui e-commerce. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa era globalisasi teknologi membawa e-commerce telah merubah gaya hidup mahasiswa menjadi berperilaku konsumtif dan inovatif. Mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya hidup konsumtif selalu berpenampilan menarik, mengenakan fashion bermerk, memiliki standar hidup menengah ke atas, serta lebih banyak bergaul dengan orang-orang yang memiliki hobi sama. Hal yang sama juga diaminkan oleh teori masyarakat konsumsi yang memperlihatkan bahwa sekelompok masyarakat mengkonsumsi barang karena perkembangan zaman modern melalui pemakaian jasa e-commerce. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan e-commerce adalah efisiensi waktu, akses yang mendukung, serta sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan barang dan kepuasan. Pemenuhan kepuasan terlihat dari pemilihan barang bermerk untuk tetap terlihat berpenampilan trendy di lingkungan sosialnya. Oleh karena itu, kita perlu mepertimbangkan apa yang ingin dibeli melalui jasa e-commerce, sehingga perilaku konsumtif dapat dihindari terlebih di masa pandemik seperti ini.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan hak pekerja perempuan merupakan dua aspek yang sangat penting dalam dunia kerja. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh perempuan seringkali berbeda dengan pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki, oleh karena itu diperlukan perlindungan khusus untuk menjamin keselamatan mereka dan melindungi hak-hak yang melekat pada mereka. Jenis penelitian dalam penulisan skripsi ini menggunakan penelitian hukum dengan pendekatan yuridis normatif dengan menggunakan data primer hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan data sekunder yaitu data yang diperoleh dari bahan pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan mengatur hak-hak pekerja perempuan. Namun, sistem hak-hak pekerja perempuan yang paling komprehensif adalah UU Ketenagakerjaan. Hal ini dapat dipastikan dalam beberapa bidang, termasuk kesetaraan positif (non-diskriminasi), sistem pengupahan, kesehatan dan keselamatan, serta jaminan sosial dan hubungan kerja. Ada juga perbedaan, namun dalam UU Ketenagakerjaan, jumlah aturan rinci terkait ketenagakerjaan adalah beberapa undang-undang dan peraturan perundang-undangan. Selain itu, terdapat hak-hak mendasar dalam mengelola pekerja, antara lain kesetaraan, perlindungan ekonomi dan perlindungan sosial, perlindungan teknis. Setelah dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut berdasarkan klasifikasi hak, ternyata UU Ketenagakerjaan beserta peraturan perundang-undangan pelaksanaannya telah sesuai dengan Konvensi Penghapusan Segala Bentuk Diskriminasi terhadap Perempuan tentang pengaturan hak-hak pekerja perempuan.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses yang sangat bergantung pada kualitas pendidik dalam membimbing pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi implementasi manajemen kelas dalam meningkatkan proses pembelajaran mahasiswa semester 3 pada mata kuliah Poetry and Drama in Language di Universitas La Tansa Mashiro. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi dan wawancara. Data diperoleh dari sumber primer, yaitu dosen pengampu mata kuliah Poetry and Drama, dan sumber sekunder berupa hasil observasi fenomena di dalam kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kelas memainkan peran penting dalam mengatasi hambatan pembelajaran, seperti kurangnya motivasi belajar, rendahnya keaktifan mahasiswa, dan kendala komunikasi antara mahasiswa, dosen, dan materi ajar. Dengan implementasi manajemen kelas yang efektif, potensi kelas dapat dioptimalkan sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih lancar, efisien, dan berhasil. Selain itu, dorongan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa terbukti mampu menciptakan lingkungan akademik yang mendukung pencapaian hasil belajar terbaik.

Abstract

Pronunciation is a term for pronouncing words correctly. Teachers should provide opportunities for students to actively participate in the pronunciation learning process. Teachers should have the ability to choose the most suitable approach to implement and use in their learning space. This study aims to explore the effect of the use of songs in English learning on students' pronunciation ability in the era of Merdeka Belajar The research method used was a randomized control experiment with participants consisting of two groups: an experimental group that received learning with songs, and a control group that received conventional learning.Data were collected through pre- and post-intervention tests, as well as participant observation. The results showed that the use of songs in English learning significantly improved students' pronunciation ability compared to conventional learning. These findings support the use of songs as an effective learning strategy in improving students' English skills in a dynamic educational era such as Merdeka Belajar. The pedagogical implication of this research is the need for wider integration of music media in the English curriculum, as well as training for teachers to utilize songs effectively in learning. The study involved seventy students. Samples were collected through cluster random sampling technique. The authors analyzed the data using two classes, X.E.1 and X.E.2. The authors used an oral test with a real rate of 5%. The results of the analysis showed that H0 was rejected. This means that students' pronunciation abilities before and after using the song method are different.

Abstract

The purpose   of   this study   is   to describe   and   analyze in-depth   about   parenting patterns   in   building social   behavior   of adolescents   in   Banjarsari   Subdistrict   Cipocok   Jaya   Serang   City.   The   research   conducted   is   qualitative   field   research,   where   this   research   produces   analytical   procedures   that   do   not   use   statistical   analysis   procedures   or   other   quantification   methods.The   method   used   in   this   study   is a descriptive   method.   Data   collection   techniques   are   conducted   among   others:   interviews,   observations   and   documentation.   Interviews   are   conducted   on   parents   and   children.   Observations   are   carried   out   to   see   the   parenting   patterns   given   to   the   child.   And   documentation   is   done   in   order   to   obtain   information   and   written   sources   or   documents   when  conducting   research.Parenting Patterns in Adolescent Social Behavior Development In Banjarsari Village, Cipocok Jaya District, Serang City, no parents are involved in raising their children, and only one parenting pattern is used in educating and caring for them.

Abstract

Tingginya timbunan sampah organik harian di perkotaan dan pedesaan yang belum termanfaatkan, serta keberadaan lahan kosong yang tidak produktif, merupakan isu krusial yang memerlukan intervensi. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai inovasi pemanfaatan lahan kosong dan sampah organik melalui metode sosialisasi dan diskusi interaktif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama dua jam dengan melibatkan diskusi dan tanya jawab tanpa praktik lapangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif dan analisis tematik terhadap pertanyaan yang diajukan peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman kognitif peserta. Pergeseran pola pertanyaan dari yang bersifat mendasar menjadi lebih spesifik dan aplikatif, membuktikan bahwa terjadi transfer pengetahuan yang efektif. Peningkatan pemahaman ini menjadi fondasi penting untuk mendorong perubahan sikap dan perilaku masyarakat menuju praktik pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Meskipun tanpa praktik langsung, kegiatan edukasi partisipatif terbukti efektif sebagai langkah awal untuk membangun kapasitas dan inisiatif mandiri masyarakat dalam mengatasi masalah lingkungan di sekitar mereka.
