Abstract

Research aims: This study examines the impact of blockchain adoption on the microeconomic stability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with financial performance and access to financial services as mediating variables.Design/Methodology/Approach: The analysis employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using data from 200 MSME owners in Indonesia who have integrated blockchain technology into their operations. The constructs, blockchain adoption, financial performance, access to financial services, and microeconomic stability, were measured through a structured questionnaire based on validated indicators from prior research.Research findings: The findings reveal that blockchain adoption significantly enhances financial performance and microeconomic stability. Financial performance strengthens the direct effect of blockchain adoption on stability, while access to financial services positively mediates the relationship between blockchain use and economic stability. Interestingly, an adverse indirect effect through financial performance was observed, suggesting potential implementation-related or contextual risks that merit further investigation.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research comprehensively explains MSMEs' blockchain adoption behavior and economic implications by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV) framework.Practitioners/Policy Implications: To promote inclusive adoption, policymakers and MSME stakeholders should prioritize secure and user-friendly blockchain systems, expand access to digital financial services, and develop adaptive regulatory frameworks. Strategic adoption should weigh both efficiency gains and potential challenges, including systemic risks, technological volatility, and unequal benefit distribution.Research Limitations/Implications: The study's scope is limited to MSMEs in Indonesia; future research should explore cross-regional and sectoral comparisons, long-term impacts, regulatory variations, and adoption dynamics across diverse contexts.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed marketing practices, particularly in competitive sectors such as the food industry. However, prior studies report inconsistent findings regarding the influence of digital marketing and brand awareness on purchase decisions, highlighting the need for evidence in specific local contexts. This study examines the effects of digital marketing and brand awareness on consumer purchase decisions at PT Bali Food Industry, a frozen fruit producer in Bali. A quantitative approach was employed using purposive sampling, resulting in 176 valid respondents who had seen the company’s advertisements and purchased its products. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, following reliability and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that digital marketing positively and significantly affects purchase decisions (B = 0.239; β = 0.382; t = 6.064; p < 0.001) and that brand awareness also has a positive and significant effect (B = 0.387; β = 0.426; t = 6.763; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence purchase decisions (F = 85.418; p < 0.001), explaining 49.5% of the variance (R² = 0.495). These findings suggest that optimizing digital marketing and strengthening brand awareness can meaningfully enhance consumer purchase decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on lecturers’ professional performance and investigates the moderating role of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in this relationship. A quantitative research design was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to lecturers at higher education institutions that have implemented formal HRM policies and CPD programs. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that effective HRM practices significantly enhance lecturers’ professional performance. In addition, Continuing Professional Development is found to strengthen the relationship between HRM practices and professional performance, suggesting that lecturers who actively engage in continuous learning are better able to translate HRM policies into improved professional outcomes. These results are consistent with Human Capital Theory and Social Exchange Theory, which emphasize the importance of sustained investment in employee development and organizational support. Practically, the study highlights that professional development initiatives are most effective when integrated with supportive and well-structured HRM systems. Higher education institutions are therefore encouraged to align CPD programs with strategic HRM practices to foster sustainable improvements in lecturers’ professionalism and performance.
