Abstract

The Casemix team is a vital component of the hospital healthcare system, focused on providing patient care. The Casemix team comprises coding, posting, clinical pathway, and information technology components. Hospital management considers the performance of the Casemix Team to be suboptimal. Objective: This study aimed to ascertain the factors contributing to the suboptimal performance of the Casemix team. Method: The research method employed in this study was qualitative research, specifically utilising a case study approach. The data were gathered by observing the claims management conducted by the Casemix Team and conducting in-depth interviews with key individuals, including the Casemix Team, the President Director, the Finance Manager, and the BPJS (Social Security Agency on Health) verifier. The data collection in this study followed a cross-sectional design. The data was collected through observation of claim management by the Casemix Team and in-depth interviews with the informans. The data processing and analysis used the content analysis method, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions from the results. Results: The suboptimal performance of the Casemix Team can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, the team's knowledge regarding posting and the clinical pathway was inadequate. Secondly, the completeness of the claim- supporting files was lacking. Thirdly, there was a lack of special compensation. Fourthly, the supervision provided by the leadership was not optimal. Lastly, the team faced constraints due to internet connection issues. Conclusion: Casemix Team Performance Indicators are seen in terms of quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness, and independence.

Abstract

According to Riskesdas data, the highest proportion of dental problems in Indonesia is dental caries which reached 45.3%, and as many as 45.7% were experienced by women, which is higher than the male group which only amounted to 44.8%. In the female group, oral care is much more important during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and menopause. According to research, the reason pregnant women do not maintain their oral health is because they do not know that during pregnancy they are more prone to oral diseases, especially gingivitis. Based on this, there is a need for health promotion in pregnant women. This study aims to conduct research and development of educational media in the form of material in electronic pocketbooks that will make it easier for mothers to access various information related to oral health maintenance in pregnant women. The method used is a qualitative method with several pregnant woman at Candilama Healthcare. The results showed that maximum education needs to be improved in pregnant women at Candilama Health Center, Semarang City, Central Java, there is a need for flexible educational media such as Mamabook electronic pocketbooks to increase literacy and education on oral health maintenance in pregnant women, the process of making mamabooks through the stages of needs analysis (need assessment), The process of making a mamabook goes through the stages of product design, expert validation, product trials, then product results containing oral health maintenance during pregnancy (dental and oral diseases of pregnant women, food diets, proper brushing of teeth), as well as quizzes on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women towards oral health. From the results of interviews and observations, it was found that there were no differences in characteristics between the intervention group and the control group.

Abstract

Electronic medical records (EMR) are an information technology innovation that has been adopted in various health facilities to improve operational efficiency and quality of health services. In addition to its benefits, the use of EMR also presents a number of challenges for doctors in hospitals. This study aims to evaluate the positive and negative impacts of EMR use on doctors in hospitals. This study used a scoping review method using the PRISMA guideline, and produced 13 articles that met the inclusion criteria related to the impact of EMR on doctors in hospitals. The results of the study showed that EMR had a positive impact on improving efficiency, quality of care, and patient safety, but also increased the administrative burden. The use of EMR outside of working hours increases the risk of burnout and decreases satisfaction with work-life balance. In addition, doctor-patient interaction can be reduced, and concerns about data privacy reduce patient openness. Hospitals need to optimize workflows, provide comprehensive and ongoing training, delegate administrative tasks to non-clinical staff and develop more user-friendly EMR systems. This is important to ensure that EMR technology can support improved quality of care without sacrificing doctor well-being and interaction with patients.
