The relationship between humans and space is one of the many human relations studied by anthropologists. In relation to archaeological studies, the form of this relationship is evident in human settlements and the patterns they produce, whether consciously or not. Settlement patterns are an embodiment (expression) of the human conception of space, and are the result of human efforts to change and utilize their physical environment based on their views and knowledge about the environment.

This research discusses environmental migration of two Muslim communities in the North Coast of Java as they facing abrasion and coastal flooding. The concept of environmental migration is employed to scrutinised communities’ decision and process of relocation to avoid drowning condition of their village. Two Muslim communities, Bedono in Demak, Central Java, and Pantai Bahagia in Bekasi, West Java, are selected as the two communities show religious feature in their migration process. Research method apply qualitative case study by conducting interviews and 12 months observation. Findings show that in Bedono community, the Kiai Mudzakir Tomb, play significant role in decision making for out migration. While in Pantai Bahagia, Pengajian provide social connection and sense of belonging for those who relocated. Further analysis on environmental migration shows that religious dimension contributed in shaping the close relocation pattern found in both community.

Dalam artikel ini penulis membahas pemikiran Koentjaraningrat mengenai masalah integrasi nasional, mulai dari awal karir beliau sebagai ahli antropologi, hingga masa pensiunnya. Penulis mengidentifikasi tiga tahap perkembangan pemikiran Koentjara-ningrat mengenai integrasi nasional di Indonesia. Tahap pertama adalah tahun 1970an, yang merupakan masa awal perkembangan pemikiran beliau. Penggunaan konsep-konsep lebih untuk memenuhi keperluan deskripsi daripada analisis. Tahap kedua ada-lah tahun 1980an, ketika Koentjaraningrat mulai lebih analitis dalam memahami masa-lah integrasi nasional, dan identifikasi masalah-masalahnya menjadi lebih tajam dan rinci. Tahun 1990an merupakan tahap perkembangan terakhir, di mana Koentjaraning-rat menggunakan perspektif yang lebih komparatif dan makro untuk memahami feno-mena integrasi nasional. Paparan di sini merupakan hasil kajian pustaka dengan meng-gunakan metode content analysis.

Pembangunan bangsa (nation building) merupakan salah satu isu utama politik nasional Indonesia setelah kemerdekaan, karena “bangsa Indonesia” bukanlah sebuah satuan sosial yang telah hadir di kawasan kepulauan Nusantara sejak zaman purbakala. Bangsa dan negara Indonesia adalah dua satuan sosial-politik-budaya yang baru muncul di abad yang lalu, dan usianya belum lagi mencapai satu abad. Di abad 21 ini -dalam usianya yang mendekati tiga perempat abad- tarikan sosial-politik yang mengarah pada konflik nasional bukannya melemah, tapi seringkali menguat ketika mendekati masa pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden, kepala daerah atau para wakil rakyat yang baru. Tidaklah mengherankan jika fenomena pembangunan bangsa tetap merupakan fenomena sosial yang masih sangat perlu diteliti dan dipahami prosesnya dengan baik di Indonesia. Topik ini merupakan salah satu topik utama ilmu-ilmu sosial Indonesia di tahun 1960an hingga tahun 1990an.Salah seorang ilmuwan sosial Indonesia yang menaruh perhatian terhadap masalah tersebut adalah almarhum Harsja W. Bachtiar, seorang guru besar sosiologi di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik di Universitas Indonesia. Beliau menulis disertasi tentang topik tersebut untuk mencapai gelar doktornya di tahun 1973, di Universitas Harvard, Amerika Serikat. Meskipun sudah hampir 50 tahun, namun hasil kajian ini belum banyak dikenal para ilmuwan sosial-politik di Indonesia. Sangat jarang ia dikutip atau dirujuk oleh mereka yang meneliti masalah integrasi nasional di Indonesia. Mungkin karena ia masih berupa disertasi dalam bahasa Inggris, dan belum terbit menjadi buku dalam bahasa Indonesia. Tulisan ini memaparkan pembahasan Harsja W. Bachtiar mengenai proses “pembangunan bangsa” -lebih tepatnya proses kemunculan, kelahiran sebuah bangsa baru-, bangsa Indonesia dalam disertasi tersebut.

Homestay is one of criteria for the existence of tourism village. Its existence as one of tourism accommodation forms is important to tourism development in tourism village. Homestay is one of tourism industry where tourist meet the local people. The Government of Indonesia also create a policy for the development of amenities (homestay). Therefore, the perception on homestay concept becomes important for homestay owner. After knowing its concept, the owner can manage their homestay based on homestay management guideline. Homestay management aspects in this research are physic and environment management, human resources, institution and data management, also promotion management. A professional management for the homestay can be the opportunity for local people to make the tourist stay longer and enjoy the natural view as well as the culture in tourism village. The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of homestay and its management at Wukirsari Tourism Village. The benefit of this research is to provide more references regarding to tourism studies, especially on homestay management. The methods used in this study are observation, interview, and documentation. The result reveals that homestay’s owners at Wukirsari Tourism Village know the concept of homestay, but they lack of knowledge on the management. The writer’s suggestion is training about homestay and its management is needed for homestay owner in Wukirsari tourism village.

Regram adalah istilah yang digunakan pada media sosial Instagram untuk mendefinisikan unggah ulang konten. Strategi regram menjadi fenomena baru dalam promosi pariwisata. Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif telah menggunakan strategi tersebut pada konten promosi destinasi pariwisata tahun 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena promosi pariwisata melalui konten regram. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis wacana untuk mendapatkan gambaran fenomena regram sebagai promosi pariwisata dan menggali dinamika komunikasi promosi pada akun Instagram @indtravel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam membangun konten promosi sangat dipengaruhi oleh citra yang ingin ditampilkan. Akun @indtravel fokus pada destinasi branding dan customer sehingga konten regram ditujukan untuk menginspirasi audiens untuk berkunjung ke destinasi.

ABSTRACT Tritangtu or Trinity mindset is a Sundanese and Minang community cosmology that consists of three entities (three patterns). Tritangtu as the local wisdom is also underlying the creative actors mental structure on making their works either in the form of performance, artifacts philosophy value, or in other cultural products in Indonesian community. This study used ethnographic method with data collection techniques were participant observation in-depth interviews and documentation. The object of study is the creative actors practice at the design field in Bandung.The result of study pointed out the Sundanese Tritangtu transformation from the permanent struc- ture to dynamic structure. The change in the structure is determined by the relation between the de- sign elements forming structure with the global market segmentation. Lending Sundanese identity markers, especially the folk culture or the past traditions is regenerative efforts to harmonize the three patterns in encountering and winning the free-market competition in Indonesia. Keyword: Tritangtu, Sundanese Triadic Transformation ModelAbstrak Tritangtu atau pola pikir tritunggal merupakan kosmologi masyarakat Sunda dan Minang yang terdiri dari tiga entitas (pola tiga). Tritangtu sebagai kearifan lokal juga melatarbelakangi struktur mental pelaku kreatif dalam membuat karya baik berupa pertunjukan, nilai filosofi artefak mau- pun produk budaya lainnya di masyarakat Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Obyek penelitian ini adalah praktik pelaku kreatif di bidang desain di Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya transformasi tritangtu Sunda dari struktur yang tetap menjadi struktur dinamis. Perubahan struktur ini ditentukan oleh relasi antar struktur pembentuk unsur desain de- ngan segmentasi pasar global. Peminjaman penanda identitas Sunda khususnya budaya rakyat atau tradisi masa lalu merupakan upaya regeneratif dalam usahanya untuk harmonisasi pola tiga dalam menghadapi dan memenangkan persaingan pasar bebas di Indonesia. Kata kunci : Tritangtu, Model Transformasi Triadic SundaÂ

The public's view of a particular ethnic group is often one-sided and incomplete. The principal objective of this article is to present a rationale for the continued existence of the Bakumpai people, who engage in rice farming in the tidal lands of South Kalimantan Province. The author conducted participant observation by residing in the village for several months and engaging in direct observation of farming activities daily. Interviews were conducted in the form of conversational interviews, in which questions and answers were posed, as well as informal discussions held in a local shop. A review of the literature was also conducted, encompassing online media, articles related to agriculture and local terms, and books related to the Bakumpai people. An ethnographic approach was employed to examine the environmental possibility of Bakumpai farmers, yielding two key findings. First, The Dayak Bakumpai people have been studied before, but their practices have been overlooked because they are similar to the Banjar people's tidal farming. Second, the Bakumpai people can find good places for farming, even if they are far apart. They also have a farming cycle that lasts one year.

This research aims to show the efforts to build Islamic dance aesthetics through artistic negotiations of dance works with art norms in tarjih decisions and cultural values in Muhammadiyah dance performances. The results of this intersection gave rise to a new value in Islamic dance art that speaks not only to divine oneness as an Islamic principle but also to Indonesian cultural factors in its aesthetic performance. Data was collected for 6 months using interview techniques and audio-visual data analysis of 3 dance works and artists in Muhammadiyah. Interviews with the general chairman policymakers in the field of tarjih and art institutions in Muhammadiyah also support analysis related to religious values in artworks. The analysis shows that the dance works performed result from the artist's religious interpretation of the norms in the Muhammadiyah tarjih decision. There is a negotiation between artists and Muhammadiyah administrators that takes place continuously in Muhammadiyah dance performances. Artists conduct artistic negotiations in the dance works performed to harmonize with Islamic values without eliminating cultural elements. The adaptation process is more on content (variety of dance movements), performance (costumes and dance supporting elements), and ideas (philosophical values within the cultural framework). The theoretical contribution of this research is to understand the relationship between art, culture, and religion, especially in the context of Islamic performing arts. This research also makes an important contribution to building the theory of Islamic dance aesthetics, which talks about artistic beauty and religious meaning in every element of performing arts and shows it through the perspective of dance diversity in Indonesia.
