The background of this study lies in the need for interactive, engaging learning media that align with technological advancements and the characteristics of the digital-native student generation. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The primary data sources were Arabic language teachers and 10th-grade students at MAN Pacitan. In contrast, the secondary data sources comprised supporting documents such as the 10th-grade Arabic textbooks, student data, and articles related to the research theme. The instruments used in this study included questionnaires, interviews, observations, and tests. The results show that the digital book developed with the Book Creator application is feasible, as evidenced by validation from subject matter experts, media experts, and student trials. This digital book has been shown to increase learning motivation, facilitate the understanding of Arabic grammar concepts, and provide a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Artificial Intelligence technology on Arabic language learning outcomes among tenth-grade Madrasah Aliyah students. This research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control-group model. The research data consisted of students’ learning outcome scores from tests administered before and after the treatment, while the data sources were the students themselves as research respondents. The study population consisted of all tenth-grade students at MAN Pacitan, and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that received AI-based learning and a control class that received conventional instruction. Data collection techniques included learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using inferential statistics, beginning with prerequisite tests of normality and homogeneity, followed by an independent-samples t-test to determine differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results indicated a significant difference between students taught using Artificial Intelligence technology and those taught using conventional methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Artificial Intelligence technology has a positive, significant effect on students’ Arabic learning outcomes.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the literacy competence of adolescents in Parangmenang Village, Ponorogo Regency, through a creative writing mentoring program. Literacy, particularly productive literacy skills such as writing, plays a crucial role in developing critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression among young people. However, preliminary observations indicated that adolescents in the village had limited opportunities for structured writing practice and lacked confidence in expressing ideas in written form. To address this issue, a participatory and empowerment-based mentoring approach was implemented. The program involved 20 adolescents aged 13–18 years and was conducted in four main sessions over one month. Activities included an introduction to literacy and creative writing concepts, idea exploration through brainstorming and free writing techniques, guided writing practice, revision, and presentation of participants’ work. Data were collected through participatory observation, analysis of participants’ written products, and reflective discussions. The results showed significant improvements in participants’ ability to develop ideas systematically, organize narrative structures more coherently, and use more varied and communicative language. In addition, participants demonstrated increased motivation, self-confidence, and willingness to share their writings publicly. The program also contributed to the establishment of a small youth literacy group to ensure sustainability. Overall, the mentoring program proved effective in strengthening adolescents’ literacy competence and fostering a productive literacy culture at the community level.
