Abstract

Abstract: Rokan Hulu is a region that is rich in biodiversity, with natural tropical conditions making Rokan Hulu a suitable habitat for flora and fauna. One of them is butterfly fauna. There are various types of endemic butterflies preserved in the tourist area of Hapanasan Rokan Hulu which has an information center and butterfly breeding, which is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Rokan Hulu. The Rokan Hulu Butterfly Park and Conservation Center are a butterfly research and breeding facility that serves as a conservation area and educational activities, to provide updated information about butterflies for the public. By implementing Biomimicry Architecture, it is able to create a relationship between architecture and nature by implementing natural strategies into building designs. Through the concept of 'butterfly metamorphosis' and transformed with biomimicry architecture approach, this building has architectural qualities that can stimulate the life of the butterfly habitat and plants as source of food.Keywords: Biomimicry; Butterfly Park; Conservation Center Abstrak: Rokan Hulu merupakan daerah yang kaya akan keanekaragaman hayati yang sangat tinggi. Kabupaten ini memiliki keadaan alam yang beriklim tropis sehingga menjadikan Rokan Hulu sebagai habitat yang cocok untuk flora dan fauna salah satunya adalah fauna kupu-kupu. Terdapat berbagai macam jenis kupu-kupu endemik yang dilestarikan di kawasan wisata Hapanasan Rokan Hulu yang memiliki pusat informasi dan penangkaran kupu-kupu yang merupakan salah satu kawasan wisata yang paling banyak dikunjungi di Rokan Hulu. Rokan Hulu Butterfly Park and Conservation Centre merupakan wadah penelitian dan penangkaran kupu-kupu yang berfungsi sebagai ruang interaksi kegiatan konservasi dan edukasi, sehingga dapat memberikan informasi mengenai kehidupan kupu-kupu kepada masyarakat. Dengan implementasi Arsitektur Biomimikri, pendekatan arsitektur ini mampu menciptakan hubungan antara arsitektur dan alam dengan mengaplikasikan strategi alam ke dalam rancangan bangunan. Melalui konsep ‘metamorphosis kupu-kupu’ dan ditransformasikan dengan pendekatan arsitektur biomimikri bangunan ini memiliki kualitas arsitektur yang dapat menstimulasi kehidupan habitat kupu-kupu dan tanaman yang menjadi sumber makanannya.Kata Kunci: Biomimikri; Butterfly Park; Conservation Center

Abstract

Indoensia have various folk stories with any tittle and messages in the story, certainly become local wisdom in Indonesia. The story from every province in Indonesia, including in Riau province. But in nowadays, childern’s interests to folk story is decrease, folk story from abroad are very popular, for example Snow White and Cinderella. The ways can be do for take the memories interest people especially the children to Riau folk story by developt Theme Park which amusement park that tells about folk story in Riau. This theme park applying simulator technology so visitors can feel the atmosphere in the story from simulations on the amusement park. This folklore Theme Park applies the concept of "story of 4 Rivers". The concept selection that will be applied to this Theme Park is to choose based on folklore in Riau because the function of this building is Riau Folklore Theme Park, which is a theme park of Riau folklore. In this theme park visitors can get entertainment, children can get moral values to social values from the story and hoped after visiting this place children can apply these messages in their daily lives and can bring back their interest to Riau folk story. Abstract

Automotive center is a central that can accommodate all activities consumer, manufacturer or seller related to automotive of the car. Pekanbaru as the capital of Riau Province has a number of four-wheeled vehicles that continue to increase annually, so that the automotive market is potentially growing. Pekanbaru City does not have a special automotive center building, the current condition of companies related to automotive is still scattered. Pekanbaru Automotive Center planning becomes the solution of the problem that serves as an educational, commercial and social facilities and there are supporting facilities for user activities. This method uses High Tech Architecture because being able to present building functions as a place with automotive image representing a technology, manufacturing, sophisticated, flexible and functional. The concept used is “Piston” that take the characteristic of the piston motion system, to make it more flexible in the construction process or to give the engine resemble quality. Abstract

Pekanbaru Creative Center is a place that has functions for education, sharing, collaboration, commercial, and performances that will become a forum for the creative industry community and the community to support creative industry activities while at the same time maximizing the existing potentials. It will later focus on facilitating the development of the 8 most superior sectors in Riau according to Bekraf (2016), namely culinary; craft; film, animation and video; application and game developer, architecture, DKV, performance art, and fashion. With the development of the creative industry in Pekanbaru it is hoped that it will become one of the solutions to economic problems by creating jobs. Pekanbaru Creative Center will be located in Pekanbaru City. The city of Pekanbaru was chosen based on the distribution of creative economy actors in Riau, 58.62% of which are in Pekanbaru while the rest are scattered in other Riau regions. The existence of the Pekanbaru Creative Center is expected to be a forum for the people of Pekanbaru, starting from students, freelancers, creative industry players , start-up actors and visitors from the general public who have the desire to learn and develop their work into tangible results and have more selling power. In designing the Pekanbaru Creative Center will use the Folding Architecture approach. Folding Architecture is a process of producing a formation in architectural design which is essentially experimenting to produce a form through a process Its application to architectural design uses paper characters and transforms them into a form through the Folding process and the nature of folding architecture. There will be 3 buildings which are divided based on the function of the building, they are the manager and public buildings, training buildings, as well as food court buildings and prayer rooms. The application of the Folding process to buildings will be limited by the concept of buildings, origami. Abstract

Siak Sri Indrapura is a city rich in diversity of tradition, arts and traditional knowledge, this can be seen from the attractiveness of local traditions that have the potential as tourist attractions and also plays a major role in executing arts events and performances in Riau Province. Musical Opera Theater of Siak is a place for art activities with cultural values that also functions as a space for interaction of community and information activities, so it will support the development of community interests and talents in performing arts. By using Renzo Piano’s design principles, it is able to create a connection between performing arts through architecture and the use of surrounding environment and culture in the city of Siak. With Audiosonic Wave as the concept and being transformed by Renzo Piano’s design principle, this building has architectural qualities that can enhance creativity and ideas about performing arts through architectural elements. Abstract

The demand for providing facilities for fictional activities is inseparable from the role of the relationship between the user and the surrounding environment. The Artists and writers in creating works need the imagination to birth the inspiration. The main factor that becomes an element in giving birth to inspiration is the state of the environment and the atmosphere. The relationship between the nuances experienced by individuals will create certain emotions that can stimulate thinking in pervading the atmosphere so that they experience the urge to create works related to the atmosphere. Therefore, one of the largest metropolitan cities in Indonesia, Medan, needs to establish facilities in the form of Fiction Centers as a place for development and study centers, as well as appreciation aimed at supporting education, information, recreation, commercial, and appreciation of fiction. The application of The Da Vinci Code in design is expected to be a manifestation of the application of fiction into the built environment that produces architectural designs that can act as a medium of visual communication between the user and his environment so as to build emotional connections between users, functions, and buildings in order to turn on the sides of the imagination which is inspiring in giving birth to works of fiction. The research methods used include observation, documentation and secondary data in the form of case studies and comparative studies. The concept applied to the design object is "Code Inside Architecture" which is then influenced by the novel elements of The Da Vinci Code in its application and this concept also serves as a connecting point for the placement of each function. The results of this study are designing architectural objects that can arouse feelings and imagination and convey the message expected by the designer to the public through symbolic architectural principles. Abstract

Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is a place of all activities in the digital and social media fields for content creators. The existence of the Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is supported development of the current digital era and people's interest in digital content, this is reinforced by the formation of a community of creators and the development of a business start-up through digital media in Pekanbaru. Content Creator Community Center has the main function as a means of community, production, and social activities as a meeting place. This studies uses the Renzo Piano design principle which creates a building that has aspects of the interaction between the building, nature and its users through the design principles of the Renzo Piano. Through the design concept of Connected buildings demonstrate to three aspects of design with the principles of Renzo Piano so that they can realize the characteristics and functions of the building as a forum for community, production, and social activities. keywords : Pekanbaru, Content Creator Community Center, Renzo Piano

Abstract

Pekanbaru merupakan salah satu pusat ekonomi terbesar di Sumatra, sehingga meningkatnya kegiatan penduduk di segala bidang, salah satunya olahraga. Berdasarkan data RPJMD Pekanbaru tahun 2012-2017, infrastruktur olahraga di Pekanbaru masih kurang  dimana hanya tersedia 0,82 gedung olahraga setiap 10.000 penduduk. Dengan sangat terbatasnya fasilitas untuk menunjang kegiatan olahraga di kota Pekanbaru, maka dibutuhkan sarana olahraga yang mampu menampung berbagai kegiatan olahraga. Sport center dapat mewadahi berbagai kegiatan olahraga dalam satu fungsi bangunan sehingga merupakan solusi yang tepat dalam pengembangan infrastruktur olahraga di Pekanbaru. Arsitektur High Tech dipilih karena melambangkan keterbukaan terhadap desainnya, sehingga memberikan daya tarik terhadap lingkungan sekitar yang dibutuhkan Sport Center dalam memunculkan semangat berolahraga. Sport Center ini diharapkan bisa menjadi sarana olahraga yang diminati masyarakat dalam memfasilitasi berbagai kegiatan olahraga yang terintegrasi dan juga dapat dijadikan sebagai tempat rekreasi baru bagi masyarakat. Pekanbaru is one of the largest economic centers in Sumatra, so there is an increase in population activities in all fields, one of which is sports. Based on data from the 2012-2017 Pekanbaru RPJMD, sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru is still lacking where there are only 0.82 sports buildings per 10,000 population. With very limited facilities to support sports activities in the city of Pekanbaru, we need sports facilities that can accommodate a variety of sports activities. Sport Centers can accommodate a variety of sports activities in one building function so that it is the right solution in developing sports infrastructure in Pekanbaru. The Architecture High Tech was chosen because it symbolizes openness to its design, thus providing an appeal to the surrounding environment needed by the Sports Center in eliciting the spirit of exercise. The Sport Center is expected to be a sporting facility that is of public interest in facilitating various integrated sports activities and can also be used as a new recreational area for the community.

Abstract

Learning Model studio known as Studio - Based Learning (SBL) has the main features hands-on or first hand experience or learning by doing. Ideally, most of the SBL activities, either individually or in groups, conducted in a studio which was accompanied by a number of teachers / assistants. Student’s evaluation efficiently when using the method of correlational research conducted with data collection and analysis of questionnaire data with the statistics. Questions in the questionnaire were arranged by following structure: the ability of professors, lecturer’s attitudes, organization of the studio system, the ability of students, and student attitudes. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) was conducted on students of Architectural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering UR S1 are taking courses in Architectural Design Studio 2010/2011 academic year, are 22 students. Four cycles of study procedures are planning, action, observation and reflection. Quantitive analysis was used to data analysis. The result of the research was the assessment of knowledge of the supervisor, supervisor attitudes, and the studio administration systems are good category.

Abstract

The urban grew along with the growing economic and technological developments. Medan city developed along with the rate of economic growth, social and physical development of cities experiencing the dynamics from time to time in accordance with conditions of development. The rise of outdoor billboards in the city of Medan show high interest in the billboard business people who were involved in the creative industries due to the high demand of the market who want to promote the product through media advertising campaign. This is due to the type of media is very effective and efficient in delivering a product message that will be presented to potential customers who do not have many opportunities to make use of other promotions. The purpose of this study is to establish the placement of billboards deployment area. This study focuses on the corridor leading to the city core (Merdeka field) with respect to some criteria such as protocol roads area, the region's historic, commercial and business district, residential areas and areas of government. ---Kota tumbuh bersamaan dengan tumbuhnya perkembangan ekonomi dan teknologi. Kota Medan berkembang seiring dengan tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi, sosial dan pembangunan fisik kota yang mengalami dinamika dari waktu ke waktu sesuai dengan kondisi perkembangan. Maraknya reklame luar ruang di Kota Medan menunjukkan tingginya minat pelaku bisnis reklame yang terjun dalam bentuk industri kreatif yang disebabkan tingginya permintaan pasar yang ingin mempromosikan produk melalui media promosi reklame. Hal ini disebabkan jenis media ini sangat efektif dan efisien dalam menyampaikan pesan produk yang akan disampaikan kepada konsumen potensial yang tidak memiliki banyak kesempatan memanfaatkan media promosi lainnya. Tujuan dilakukannya kajian ini adalah menetapkan kawsan penyebaran peletakan reklame. Identifikasi ini menitikberatkan pada koridor yang menuju inti kota (lapangan Merdeka) dengan memperhatikan beberapa kriteria seperti kawasan jalan protokol, kawasan bersejarah, kawasan komersial dan bisnis, kawasan perumahan dan kawasan pemerintahan.
