Abstract

Abstract: Metaverse offered a virtual world where each member could interact with one another without face-to-face. Metaverse digital technology has drawn the churches’ interest to utilize it as an option for virtual worship. The existence of metaverse in churches has gradually led to less interaction among believers. Was it true that metaverse made the church ministry easier? What does the Bible say about the metaverse? This research used a literature study in which the function of the church was studied and how it related to the metaverse, a virtual space device. The conclusion is that the digital technology of the metaverse could not always be used in Christian worship. Biblical facts assign the believers' meetings (face-to-face) as an option and priority in communion. The Bible does not reject digital developments but requires believers and church leaders to be critical and wise in facing technological developments to improve the ministry and not to take people away from God and fellow believers because of technological devices. Abstrak: Metaverse menyajikan sebuah dunia virtual di mana setiap anggota dapat saling berinteraksi tanpa harus melakukan tatap muka secara langsung. Teknologi digital metaverse sudah mulai diminati gereja untuk digunakan sebagai opsi dalam melakukan ibadah virtual. Kehadiran metaverse dalam gereja secara perlahan menyebabkan berkurangnya interaksi bagi sesama orang percaya. Benarkah metaverse memudahkan pelayanan gereja? Bagaimana kajian Alkitab terhadap metaverse? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka di mana fungsi gereja dikaji dan bagaimana relevansinya dengan perangkat ruang virtual metaverse. Kesimpulan yang didapat bahwa tidak selalu teknologi digital metaverse dapat dipergunakan dalam hal ibadah Kristiani. Fakta Alkitab menempatkan pertemuan-pertemuan orang percaya (tatap muka) sebagai opsi dan prioritas dalam suatu persekutuan. Alkitab tidak menolak perkembangan digital, namun menuntut orang percaya dan pimpinan gereja untuk bersikap kristis dan bijak dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi agar dapat memajukan pelayanan, bukan sebaliknya membawa manusia menjauh dari Allah dan sesama karena perangkat teknologi.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is facing an era where horizontal conflicts often occur. Especially in the era of digital progress and the era of disruption that forces people to use technology to communicate, do business and so on. So that in the era of disruption, many hate speech accessed in cyberspace can threaten unity in the real world. By using a literature study approach, this paper intends to explain how Christians have an impact and become agents of truth through living in harmony and being pioneers in harmony. It was concluded that for Christians, harmony must also be done in a real place in the community as well as in the social media community which is now called the era of globalization in the era of disruption. Through the era of disruption and challenges, Christians can understand that any situation and condition still contributes to the diversity of the nation. It is also in line with the Basic Christian Faith in the harmony which can then be actualized by Christians in society in an era of disruption.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper was elaborated by the researchers because in fact there are individuals who practice religion by showing their superior attitude that their belief is more correct or they are much better than others and this is characterized by an arbitrary attitude towards other religions. This paper used a qualitative method with a literature approach. Through this writing topic, the author described about eroding the attitude of superiority as a form of the practice of Pancasila in the principle of "Unity of Indonesia". It can be concluded from the results of the description on this topic that to erode the attitude of superiority in practicing the principle of the “Unity of Indonesia” and the norms contained therein, what needs to be done as an Indonesian society is to implement the religious values in unity as mandated by Pancasila and believers must also exhibit behavior and attitudes in accordance to unity and harmony so as to build the value of togetherness in line with the content contained in  the points and values of Pancasila.Abstrak: Tulisan ini diuraikan oleh peneliti karena melihat secara faktual adanya oknum-oknum menjalankan agamanya dengan menunjukkan bahwa sikap Superioritas dalam beragama dimana keyakinannya lebih benar atau sikap perasaan lebih segalanya dari orang lain dan ini ditandai oleh sikap sewenang-wenang terhadap agama lain. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan literatur. Melalui topik penulisan ini penulis mendeskripsikan tentang mengikis sikap superioritas sebagai ujut dalam pengamalan Pancasila dalam sila “Persatuan Indonesia”. Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil uraian pada topik ini bahwa untuk mengikis sikap superioritas dalam mengamalkan sila Persatuan Indonesia dan norma yang terkandung di dalamnya maka yang perlu dilakukan sebagai masyarat Indonesia mengimplementasikan nilai agamanya dalam persatuan sebagaimana mandat pancasila dan orang percaya juga harus mengejawantahkan perilaku dan sikap tentang persatuan dan kerukunan sehingga dapat membangun nilai kebersamaan yang selaras dengan muatan yang terkandung dalam butir-butir dan nilai-nilai ajar Pancasila.

Abstract

The development of law in Indonesia is inseparable from the history that has been going on for quite a long time. If you look at this long history, the laws in Indonesia originate from the Netherlands, which once colonized Indonesia. It is undeniable that Indonesia has adopted the law originating from the Netherlands. The development of Indonesian national law is something that the government inevitably has to do in order to form a national law that is rooted in all levels of society. The development of Indonesia's national law, which is currently heavily influenced by external elements, is as much as possible in order to maintain the material legal sources of Indonesian laws. The development of national law that focuses on the Indonesian spirit and Indonesian taste can only be carried out with the consensus of all elements of the nation.

Abstract

The background of this paper was based on the fact that the contribution of teachers in helping to increase the confidence of students with disabilities had not been significant. The real contribution as a teacher was very necessary, considering that the students who were categorized as disabled in 2020-2021 had reached 144,621 students. The size of students with disabilities was a concern for every one of us, especially teachers, to help educationally and mentally. In describing this paper, the researchers used qualitative methods with a literature study approach. The formulation of questions to be answered in this article, what was the description of the problems of students with disabilities? What was the concrete contribution of PAK teachers in fostering the confidence of these students? The results of the discussion in this article suggested that the problems experienced by students with disabilities were that they received a negative stigma and were vulnerable to mental health.The teachers’ real contribution to help the growth of the students’ self-confidence was carried out through a friendship-based teaching approach, skill-based education and independence-based education. The students' confidence would grow if this was realized and the educators followed Jesus' attitude in humanizing disabled people.

Abstract

Abstract: The basis of this paper was unraveled because factually the level of damage to nature and environment was getting worse when looking at the existing reality. This condition certainly cannot be tolerated, considering that preserving and caring for nature is the obligation of every believer who bases his faith in Christ. Therefore, this paper focused on describing how theologians viewed ecology. Using the literature study approach, this article proposed two main formulations of questions, how concrete was the view of theologians on Eco Theology? How to live a priestly life in terms of Eco Theology? The findings of these articles suggested that theologians such as John Calvin and Martin Luther viewed that care and arrangement of the earth as a moral responsibility of every human being as well as a form of respect for God seen through creation. It was also a way to show faith by taking care of what God had mandated.Abstrak: Dasariah tulisan ini terurai karena secara faktual tingkat kerusakan alam dan lingkungan semakin parah apabila melihat realita yang ada. Kondisi ini tentunya tidak bisa dibiarkan, mengingat menjaga dan memelihara alam merupakan kewajiban setiap orang percaya yang mendasarkan keimanannya kepada Kristus. Oleh sebab itu tulisan ini berfokus menguraikan bagaimana pandangan para teolog terkait ekologi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, maka artikel ini mengajukan dua rumusan pertanyaaan utama, bagaimana kongkret dari pandangan para teolog tentang ekotelogi? Dan seperti apa menjalankan kehidupan keberimaman dalam kaitan ekoteologi? Hasil temuan para artikel ini mengemukakan bahwa para teolog seperti John Calvin dan Marthin Lhuter memandang pemeliharaan dan penataan terhadap bumi merupakan tanggung jawab moral setiap manusia sekaligus bentuk rasa hormat mereka kepada Tuhan yang terlihat melalui ciptaan. Itu juga sebagai cara menunjukkan keberimannya dengan merawat apa yang telah dimandatkan oleh Tuhan.

Abstract

Abstract: Bali Island is a famous island in the world. Besides being famous for its beautiful tourist attractions, the island is also famous for a unique ceremony called ngaben or the burning of corpses as a path taken by the Hindu people to reach the heaven or in Hindu spiritual terms called Moksa. The implementation of ngaben ceremony goes through a long process and requires high cost. The purpose of this writing was to equip evangelists who would carry out missions to Hindus. With an understanding of heaven from a Hindu perspective, evangelists could design the right mission strategy. The research in this paper used a qualitative descriptive method to get a comprehensive exposure. The literature study approach was also used by using library sources, such as books, journals and articles. The results showed that there was a religious concept to get eternal salvation after death. This research aimed to help the mediator who wanted to carry out God's mission to realize the religious meaning contained in the ngaben ceremony. This research suggested that it was important for a servant of God as an agent of God's mission on earth to understand this fundamental concept. Abstrak: Pulau Bali merupakan pulau yang terkenal di seluruh dunia. Disamping terkenal akan obyek wisatanya yang indah, pulau ini juga terkenal dengan sebuah upacara yang unik yaitu upacara Ngaben atau pembakaran mayat sebagai jalan yang ditempuh umat Hindu untuk mendapatkan sorga atau di dalam istilah kerohanian Hindu disebut “Moksa”. Pelaksanaan upacara ngaben melalui proses yang panjang dan membutuhkan biaya yang sangat besar. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah membekali penginjil yang akan melaksanakan misi kepada umat Hindhu. Dengan pemahaman akan sorga dari perspektif Hindhu maka penginjil dapat merancang strategi misi yang tepat. Penelitian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pemaparan secara komprehensif. Pendekatan studi Pustaka juga digunakan dengan menggunakan sumber-sumber Pustaka dari buku, jurnal dan artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya konsep religius yang bermakna keselamatan kekal setelah kematian. Penelitian ini bermaksud membantu seorang pelaksana misi Allah agar memahami makna religius yang terkandung di dalam upacara ngaben. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya seorang hamba Tuhan sebagai agen misi Allah di bumi memahami konsep fundamental ini.

Abstract

In 2022, the Supreme Court of India has legalized abortion for all women, regardless of marital status. Consequently, all women in India are free to terminate their pregnancy without having to face a legal case. This decision is a breakthrough for new laws in India, including the issue of upholding women's rights. Even so, the act of arbitrary abortion is contrary to morals and Bible teachings. This article aims to discuss the legalization of abortion carried out by the Indian government from a biblical theology perspective by using a literature review approach. The findings of this research indicate that legalizing abortion through legislation is contrary to the biblical principle of the right to life. The government must guard abortion cases not only from political and socio-economic roles but also from religious beliefs and provide good sex education and a healthy environment for its people to suppress unwanted abortions. The role of parents in educating children and the role of the church in maturing the faith of the younger generation can prevent free sex and unsafe abortion in India. The contribution of this research is related to abortion, the right to life of the fetus, women's rights, sex education for the younger generation, parenting and government law.

Abstract

Passover celebrations are always repeated every year for Christians, although not as festive as Christmas. Christian Passover events are a series of events from the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection on the third day. There have been many attempts to reduce the events of the cross and deny the crucified figure of Jesus Christ. This research tries to explore and examine the meaning of Easter in Christianity and how it relates to the Messianic Covenant in Genesis 3:15. The method used is qualitative with a literature review approach, examining the red threads of the Old and New Testaments regarding Passover, where in the conclusion there is a relationship between Genesis 3:15 concerning the Messianic covenant as a type and its antitype or fulfilment is in the event of the cross, and this is a work God's salvation in overcoming human sin, on the one hand God's justice is satisfied by punishing sin on the cross, and on the other hand it shows God's love for humans. Thus, as people who believe in Jesus Christ, they must understand the meaning of this Passover in their daily lives, and moreover, theological high school students and church pastors must understand that and educate the congregation to maintain the spirit of Passover. BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Perayaan Paskah selalu berulang setiap tahun bagi umat Kristiani, meskipun tidak semeriah Natal. Peristiwa Paskah adalah suatu rangkaian peristiwa dari kematian Yesus Kristus di kayu salib dan kebangkitan-Nya pada hari yang ketiga. Banyak upaya untuk mereduksi peristiwa salib dan menafikan sosok Yesus Kristus yang tersalib. Penelitian ini mencoba menggali dan mengkaji makna paskah dalam kekristenan dan apa hubungannya dengan kovenan Mesianik dalam Kejadian 3:15. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian Pustaka, menelisik benang merah Perjanjian Lama dan Perjanjian Baru tentang Paskah, di mana dalam simpulan terdapat hubungan antara Kejadian 3:15 tentang kovenan Mesianik sebagai tipe dan antitipenya atau penggenapannya ada pada peristiwa salib, dan ini merupakan karya keselamatan Allah dalam mengatasi dosa manusia, di satu sisi keadilan Allah terpuaskan dengan menghukum dosa di salib, dan di sisi lainnya menunjukkan kasih Allah pada manusia. Dengan demikian sebagai umat yang percaya kepada Yesus Kristus harus memahami makna Paskah ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan terlebih bagi mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Teologi dan para gembala gereja harus memahami itu dan mengedukasi jemaat untuk tetap menjaga semangat Paskah.
