Abstract

This research focuses on the exposition of Job's failure in educating his children, as reflected in Job 1:4-5, with an analysis of weaknesses in terms of communication and spiritual approach. This research aims to explore how education that focuses more on rituals and less directly involves children in the spiritual learning process can impact their moral and spiritual development. This study uses a qualitative method with an exposition approach to the biblical text and combines references from the latest literature on child education and Christian parenting. The research results show that Job's weakness in communicating with his children caused them to lack understanding of personal responsibility for their sins and spiritual life. Job relied more on sacrifices to atone for his children's sins rather than directing them directly to understand their sin and repent. This research concludes that good communication, integration of spiritual values into daily life, and teaching about personal responsibility are the keys to building children's spiritual character. Thus, this research provides a practical contribution to Christian education, especially in facing the modern challenges faced by today's generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini hendak membuktikan suatu kata “amnesti” yang di dalam hukum positif Indonesia dikenal adanya pengampunan atau penghapusan hukuman yang diberikan Presiden kepada orang atau kelompok yang bersalah melakukan tindak pidana berdasarkan putusan pengadilan yang telah berkekuatan hukum tetap (in kracht van gewisjde). Amnesti yang diberikan oleh Presiden apakah dapat langsung diberikan ataukan menempuh berbagai prosedur serta membutuhkan waktu berapa lama, dan apa konsekwensinya ketika seseorang atau suatu kelompok telah menerima Amnesti. Dalam teologi Kristen, juga dikenal adanya amnesti atau pengampunan dosa. Pengampunan dosa diperlukan bagi seseorang untuk dapat mencapai Firdaus. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, dan juga melalui penelusuran dari berbagai sumber untuk menggali dan menemukan makna perkataan Yesus sebagaimana pada judul penilitian. Temuan penelitian ini mengemukakan bahwa pemberian amnesti kepada penjahat diatas kayu salib yang dilakukan Yesus menunjukan Ia adalah Tuhan pemilik kuasa yang dapat mengampuni dosa manusia.

Abstract

Social crises such as pandemics, social conflicts, and economic instability affect the strength of community faith. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how congregational spirituality can help faith resilience in the midst of crisis using a pastoral theological approach. The main question posed in this study is how spirituality and church community build faith resilience in times of social crisis? The method used is a descriptive qualitative study with a theological-pastoral approach, utilizing literature review and contextual analysis. The findings of this study indicate that various spiritual practices, such as prayer and fellowship, as well as involvement in the church community, are highly influential in strengthening the faith of the congregation amidst crisis situations. However, obstacles such as a lack of discipleship and community fragmentation were also found. Therefore, the church must be present contextually and actively to strengthen the faith of the people during the current crisis.

Abstract

This article focuses on outlining what service as Pentecostal spirituality looks like in the context of digitalization in the church. The researcher elaborates on this topic based on the need for the Pentecostal church to contextualize its ministry in the current era of digitalization. This study also serves as an effort by the researcher to propose that the Pentecostal spirituality, which has traditionally been manifested conventionally, needs to be explored in the digital space. In outlining this study, the researcher applies a literature review approach combined with constructive theological analysis. The research question posed is: what is the reconstruction of Pentecostal stewardship theology in the digital space? The findings of this study reveal that Pentecostal spirituality is not understood as an administrative practice, but rather as a response of faith to the work of the Holy Spirit. Then, the construction of Pentecostal stewardship in the digital space must be rooted in eschatological and relational awareness of God. Stewardship is no longer just about managing church assets, but about creating a digital ecosystem that reflects the values of the Kingdom of God.Abstrak:Artikel ini berfokus menguraikan seperti apa penatalayanan sebagai spiritualitas Pentakosta dalam konteks digitalisasi di gereja. Peneliti menguraikan topik ini berangkat dari perlunya upaya gereja Pentakosta mengkontekstualisasikan pelayanannya di era digitalisasi saat ini. Kajian ini juga sebagai upaya peneliti mengemukakan bahwa spiritualitas kepentakostaan yang selama ini terlihat secara konvensional dimanivestasikan, perlu dilakukan bagaimana bila hal itu dalam ruang digital. Di dalam menguraikan kajian ini, peneliti menerapkan pendekatan studi kepustakaan yang dikombinasikan dengan analisis teologis konstruktif. Rumusan pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan seperti apa rekonstruksi teologi penatalayanan pentakostal dalam ruang digital? Hasil temuan kajian ini mengemukan bahwa spiritualitas Pentakostal, tidak dipahami sebagai praktik administratif, melainkan sebagai respons iman terhadap karya Roh Kudus. Kemudian kontruksi penatalayanan Pentakostal dalam ruang digital harus berakar pada kesadaran eskatologis dan relasional kepada Tuhan. Penatalayanan tidak lagi hanya tentang mengatur aset gereja, tetapi tentang membentuk ekosistem digital yang mencerminkan nilai Kerajaan Allah. Kata Kunci: Pentakosta, Spiritualitas, Penatalayanan, Digital

Abstract

There is still debatale about side profession of pastor among Pentecostals.Usually, the important factors that are taken into consideration in choosing a side profession are those that do not contradict God's words, do not interfere with ministry, means of self-actualization, and get results that can support ministry..This article aims to carefully examine the impact of a pastor's side profession on his ministry in a Pentecostal church. By using a qualitative descriptive method and combining it with a literature study, it is believed that we will be able to review carefully and systematically the description of services within the Pentecostal church, descriptions of the side professions of pastors, as well as their impact on services within the Pentecostal church. It was concluded that the side profession of pastor has a very good impact because this side profession can be a source of additional income for the welfare of the pastor when the local congregation is unable to meet the financial needs of their family, as a means of developing talents from God, increasing greater opportunities to help others, and can be an entry point into market place services. Abstrak:Masih menjadi perdebatan di kalangan kaum Pentakostal terkait apakah gembala boleh bekerja atau tidak.Biasanya faktor penting yang yang dijadikan pertimbangan dalam pemilihan profesi sampingan adalah yang tidak bertentangan dengan firman Tuhan, tidak menggangu pelayanan, sarana aktualisasi diri, dan mendapatkan hasil yang bisa mendukung pelayanan. Artikel ini bertujuan mengulik secara cermat dampak profesi sampingan gembala sidang terhadap pelayanannya di gereja beraliran Pentakostal. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan mengkombinasikannya dengan kajian litaratur diyakini mampu mengulas secara cermat dan sistimatik terkait deskripsi pelayanan di lingkup gereja Pentakostal, deskripsi profesi sampingan gembala, serta dampaknya terhadap pelayanan di lingkup gereja Pentakostal. Disimpulkan bahwa profesi sampingan gembala sidang memiliki dampak sangat baik karena profesi sampingan ini bisa menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan gembala manakala jemaat lokal belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan keuangan keluarganya, sebagai sarana mengembangkan bakat dari Tuhan, meningkatkan peluang lebih besar untuk membantu sesama, serta bisa menjadi pintu masuk ke pelayanan market place.Kata Kunci: Gembala Sidang, Gereja Pentakostal, Profesi Sampingan, Teologi Pentakostal

Abstract

This paper focuses on examining the spirituality of Christian Religious Education teachers in relation to school-based management. Dasariah, this topic is studied because research trends related to teacher spirituality still focus on the personal level of teachers and students, and have not yet touched on management aspects. The main research question posed is what are the challenges and dynamics of implementing spirituality in relation to MBS? In conducting this study, the researcher used a qualitative method with an analytical-conceptual approach. The findings of this study indicate that the spirituality of Christian Education teachers significantly contributes to shaping the school's organizational culture. Additionally, the spirituality of teachers with the principle of autonomy in school-based management places management freedom as a shared responsibility. However, the implementation of spirituality in this MBS often faces obstacles from the structural aspects inherent in the formal education system, as well as the reduction of spirituality to a symbolic and purely ceremonial level in schools. ABSTRAK: Tulisan ini berfokus menelaah spiritualitas pengajar Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam kaitan manajemen berbasis sekolah. Dasariah topik ini dikaji karena kecenderungan penelitian terkait spiritualitas pengajar masih bertumpu pada tataran personal pengajarnya, nara didik dan belum menyentuh pada aspek manajemen. Rumusan pertanyaan penelitian utama yang diajukan apa yang menjadi tantangan dan dinamika implementasi spiritualitas dalam keterkaitan dengan MBS? Di dalam mengerjakan kajian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analitis-konseptual. Hasil temuan kajian ini mengemukakan bahwa spiritualitas pengajar PAK berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk budaya organisasi sekolah. Selain itu spiritualitas pengajar dengan prinsip otonomi dalam manajemen berbasis sekolah menempatkan kebebasan pengelolaan sebagai tanggung secara bersama. Akan tetapi pengimplementasian spiritualitas dalam MBS ini sering menemukan hambatannya dari aspek struktural yang melekat pada sistem pendidikan formal, serta terjadinya pereduksian spiritualitas menjadi simbolik dan sebatas seremonial di sekolah. Kata Kunci: Pengajar, Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Spiritualitas, Manajamen Berbasis Sekolah

Abstract

The main focus of the discussion to be examined in this article is how the level of decency or reasonableness that Christians should do, when they express themselves in Tik Tok. This topic needs to be discussed, considering that the Tik Tok application is one of the social media that is favored by Indonesian people from various groups and religions. In working on this paper, the researcher uses a literature study and phenomenological approach to answer the research questions to be discussed. As for the question, what are the advantages and disadvantages of this media? What is the concrete form of self-expression that users do in Tik Tok? And what is the perspective of Christian ethics in Tik Tok? The result obtained is that the Tik Tok social media makes it easier for all content actors to go viral, both positive and negative, because the Tik Tok For You Page algorithm gives everyone equal opportunities. The dominant forms of self-expression in Tik Tok by users are dancing, dancing and lip syncing. As a result, elements of eroticism, sensuality by showing body curves and mocking are often carried out. The principle of Christian ethics strictly prohibits Christians from displaying a bad lifestyle, let alone being impolite. Because Christians are labeled as the epistle of Christ to be able to be an example in words and deeds as the light of the world.

Abstract

Modern medical literature reveals that leprosy is a treatable disease and not easily contagious. In contrast, theological literature, especially from biblical texts, often views leprosy as a symbol of sin and impurity, reinforcing social stigma against sufferers. This study combines theological and medical perspectives to provide a more comprehensive understanding of leprosy, focusing on Leviticus 13. Using descriptive qualitative methods and a literature review, this research analyzes various sources. The results indicate that ancient theological views of leprosy as divine punishment have perpetuated enduring social stigma. Meanwhile, modern medical perspectives offer scientific explanations that emphasize leprosy as a treatable medical condition, helping to reduce this stigma. This study suggests concrete steps to reduce stigma, such as community education, social integration of leprosy sufferers, empathy training for healthcare workers, and psychosocial support. This research not only enhances understanding of leprosy from historical and theological viewpoints but also provides practical ways to address social stigma and support the reintegration of leprosy sufferers into society.

Abstract

The rise of Christians apostasy to other religions underlies the researcher to conduct this research. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive where the research report contains data citations from manuscripts, interviews, field notes, videos, personal documents, notes or other official documents to find the truth in answering this research. The finding of this study is that apostasy occurs because the theological understanding of Christians is not deep. The strategy to prevent such apostasy is that the church must utilize technology as a means for understanding the Christian faith, carry out pastoral and pastoral care to the congregation seriously, as well as monitor contemporary issues that arise through social media that attack the Christian faith in an improper way, then conduct studies and provide the congregation with a correct theological understanding, the church can also use social media to convey true Christian teachings so that the Christian congregation can know the true teachings to ward off the heresy that leads to apostasy.

Abstract

This research examines Jesus' interaction with the Samaritan woman as recorded in the John 4:7-26, focusing on Jesus' communication techniques and their relevance for contemporary evangelism and Christian teaching. In this dialogue, Jesus combines empathy and inclusivity to reach out to the woman, transcending ethnic and religious boundaries through the use of the "living water" metaphor, which teaches about true and spiritual worship. This study evaluates how Jesus listens and responds deeply to the woman's spiritual needs, integrating a profound understanding of the Messiah into the conversation, demonstrating an adaptive and personal communication approach. The analysis seeks to understand how Jesus’ approach, including the use of provocative questions and message adjustments based on the recipient's context, can be adapted in modern contexts to address a fast-paced and pluralistic society. The conclusions of this research offer insights on how the principles of Jesus' communication can guide modern evangelists and educators in their practice, suggesting strategies for more effective and sensitive communication in response to diversity in the current era.
