Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a multiplication wheel media product to increase the learning interest of fourth grade students at SD 06 East Pontianak. This research includes the development of Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry consisting of five steps, including (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. The development of this learning media was validated by media experts and material experts. The validation results from all experts show that the development of this multiplication wheel learning media is very feasible, practical and effective for use in class IV elementary schools. This is proven by validation from media experts and material experts as well as student responses and effectiveness trials on students (measured by interest questionnaire questions). The average percentage of media experts is 92% in the "very feasible" category, the average percentage of material experts is 80% in the "decent" category. The average percentage result of the practicality questionnaire was 98% in the "very practical" category. The average results of the feasibility test before using the media were 49.58 low interest in learning, after using the media 95.83 high interest in learning. The final result of the average value of the interest questionnaire before and after being calculated using the N-gain formula was 0.93 according to the criteria for the success of the multiplication wheel media in the very effective category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the early reading abilities of second-grade students at SD Negeri 59 Sungai Raya, which includes the stages of recognising letters, reading words, reading meaningless words, reading fluency and reading comprehension, and listening skills. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with data obtained through the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) test and interviews. The results show that the students' early reading skills still vary. Some students are able to recognise letters well, but others still have difficulty distinguishing between letters with similar sounds, such as ‘F’ and “V”, and have difficulty pronouncing diphthongs such as ‘NY’. In terms of reading aloud, some students still read by spelling and are not yet fluent, which affects their comprehension of the reading material. Listening skills also varied, with some students unable to answer questions related to the story because they did not understand or were not focused while listening. In addition, one student showed signs of instability that affected their attention and overall learning ability. In general, the results of the study emphasised the need for continuous reading practice, structured phonics learning, and an individualised mentoring approach so that students' early reading skills could improve optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran guru dalam menumbuhkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik kelas III di SDN 12 Mempawah Hilir. Fokus penelitian terletak pada peran guru sebagai pengelola kelas serta sebagai mediator dan fasilitator. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data dan sumber data diperoleh secara langsung melalui observasi dan wawancara. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi person, place, dan paper. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data mencakup beberapa langkah, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperiksa melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Adapun tahapan penelitian meliputi tahap pra-lapangan, tahap pelaksanaan di lapangan, dan tahap penyusunan laporan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru sebagai pengelola kelas sekaligus sebagai mediator dan fasilitator dalam menumbuhkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik tergolong berhasil, meskipun tingkat keaktifan siswa belum sepenuhnya optimal. Hal ini terlihat dari keterlibatan peserta didik dalam berbagai aktivitas pembelajaran serta tindakan nyata yang mereka lakukan di kelas. Guru mampu membimbing siswa agar mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan tertib dan nyaman, serta menciptakan kondisi belajar yang melibatkan mereka dalam berbagai kegiatan seperti membaca nyaring, menulis ulang cerita pendek, mendengarkan, mengemukakan pendapat, dan berdiskusi kelompok.

Abstract

Farming culture is a social practice rich in local knowledge and ethnomathematical elements contained in each stage of rice cultivation, as well as analysing its relevance to contextual mathematics learning. The research used qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of farmers who were directly involved in all aspects of rice cultivation, including the forms of mathematical reasoning that arose naturally from the community's experience in cultivating rice fields. However, the potential of mathematics in the agricultural culture of Bareng Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, has not been widely explored as a source of learning in primary schools. This study aims to identify and describe the agricultural process. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, and interactive conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that every agricultural activity, from ngluku, nggebyok, nandur, ngopeni, to harvesting, contains mathematical concepts such as measurement, estimation, comparison, row-column patterns, symmetry, proportionality, division of space, work rhythm, and frequency calculation. These concepts are applied intuitively and are not expressed in formal mathematical language, but are reflected through the actions and work strategies of farmers. This study concludes that the farming culture of the Bareng community has strong potential as a learning resource for developing numeracy. ABSTRAK Budaya bercocok tanam merupakan salah satu praktik sosial yang kaya akan pengetahuan lokal, unsur-unsur etnomatematika yang terkandung dalam setiap tahapan bercocok tanam padi, serta menganalisis relevansinya bagi pembelajaran matematika kontekstual. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap petani yang terlibat langsung dalam seluruh termasuk bentuk-bentuk penalaran matematis yang muncul secara alami dari pengalaman masyarakat dalam mengolah sawah. Namun, potensi matematika dalam budaya pertanian di Kecamatan Bareng, Kabupaten Jombang, belum banyak dieksplorasi sebagai sumber pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan proses pertanian. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap aktivitas pertanian mulai dari ngluku, nggebyok, nandur, ngopeni, hingga panen mengandung konsep matematika seperti pengukuran, estimasi, perbandingan, pola baris kolom, simetri, proporsionalitas, pembagian ruang, ritme kerja, dan perhitungan frekuensi. Konsep-konsep ini diterapkan secara intuitif dan tidak dinyatakan dalam bahasa matematika formal, tetapi tercermin melalui tindakan dan strategi kerja petani. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa budaya bertani masyarakat Bareng memiliki potensi kuat sebagai sumber belajar untuk mengembangkan  numerasi siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis konteks yang dekat dengan kehidupan mereka.

Abstract

Abstract: The increasing demand for 21st century competencies highlights the importance of collaboration skills in higher education. However, limited studies have examined how integrated cognitive-behavioristic grouping strategies shape specific dimensions of students’ collaboration skills. This study aims to analyze the profile of students’ collaboration skills within a cognitive-behavioristic grouping framework implemented through case-method-based collaborative learning. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach embedded in a lesson study design involving 30 third-semester students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Program. Data were collected through structured observation sheets, field notes, student worksheets, voice recordings, and documentation to ensure triangulation. Although descriptive statistics were used to calculate percentage distributions, the analysis remained qualitative-descriptive, focusing on interpreting observable collaborative behaviors across five aspects: contribution, time management, problem solving, working with others, and investigation techniques. The findings indicate that the overall collaboration skill level reached 72,83% (collaborative category), with stronger performance in interpersonal aspects than in higher-order investigative competencies. These results suggest that cognitive-behavioristic grouping effectively reinforces cooperative behaviors but requires additional cognitive scaffolding to optimize analytical and inquiry skills. The novelty of this study lies in integrating cognitive and behavioristic dimensions as a structured basis for heterogeneous grouping and in examining collaboration skills across specific measurable aspects. The study contributes theoretically to collaborative learning design by bridging behavioral engagement and cognitive depth, and practically by offering a structured grouping model that supports balanced collaborative development in higher education.Abstrak: Tuntutan kompetensi abad ke-21 menegaskan pentingnya keterampilan kolaborasi dalam pendidikan tinggi. Namun, penelitian yang mengkaji bagaimana strategi pengelompokan berbasis kognitif-behavioristik memengaruhi dimensi spesifik keterampilan kolaborasi masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa dalam kerangka pengelompokan kognitif-behavioristik yang diimplementasikan melalui pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis case method. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang terintegrasi dalam desain lesson study dengan melibatkan 30 mahasiswa semester III Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi terstruktur, catatan lapangan, lembar kerja mahasiswa, rekaman suara, dan dokumentasi untuk menjamin triangulasi data. Meskipun statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menghitung persentase, analisis tetap berorientasi kualitatif dengan fokus pada interpretasi perilaku kolaboratif yang teramati pada lima aspek, yaitu kontribusi, manajemen waktu, pemecahan masalah, bekerja sama, dan teknik investigasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterampilan kolaborasi secara keseluruhan mencapai 72,83% (kategori kolaboratif), dengan kekuatan pada aspek interpersonal dibandingkan aspek investigatif tingkat tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelompokan kognitif-behavioristik efektif memperkuat perilaku kooperatif, namun masih memerlukan scaffolding kognitif untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan analitis dan inkuiri. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi dimensi kognitif dan behavioristik sebagai dasar pengelompokan heterogen serta pengukuran keterampilan kolaborasi secara spesifik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi secara teoretis dalam menjembatani dimensi perilaku dan kognitif dalam desain pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta secara praktis menawarkan model pengelompokan yang mendukung pengembangan kolaborasi yang lebih seimbang di pendidikan tinggi.
