Abstract

This research aims to identify the types of difficulties experienced by students in the material of FPB (Greatest Common Factor) and KPK (Least Common Multiple) in the fifth grade of SDN 07 Pontianak Kota. The research method used is descriptive qualitative based on the indicators of learning difficulties according to Abdurrahman (2003), which are (1) factual learning difficulties, (2) conceptual learning difficulties, (3) operational learning difficulties, and (4) principled learning difficulties. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted with fifth-grade students of SDN 07 Pontianak Kota by collecting data through tests. The results revealed that difficulty learning operations is the most common type of difficulty experienced by students with a total of 53.9% of difficulty, principle learning difficulty is the second type of difficulty experienced by students with a total of 52.34% of difficulty, concept learning difficulty is the third type of learning difficulty experienced by students with a total of 48.43% of difficulty, and fact learning difficulty is the least type of difficulty experienced by students with a total difficulty percentage of 15.625%. Then the results of the study showed that students were more likely to experience difficulties in doing FPB questions than the KPK with a percentage of 67.96%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading interest of third-grade students at SDN 34 Parit Madura and the factors that influence it. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a Guttman scale-based questionnaire, supplemented by observations and interviews. The data are analyzed descriptively using the National ALIBACA Index classification. The results show that the overall reading interest of third-grade students at SDN 34 Parit Madura falls into the moderate category with an average of 54.76%. The reading attention aspect is categorized as high with 76.20%, reflecting students’ strong enthusiasm and interest in reading activities, although concentration still needs improvement. The reading preference and number of books owned aspects are in the moderate category, each with 52.38%. Meanwhile, the reading time aspect is categorized as low with 38.10%, since most students do not yet have a consistent daily reading routine. These findings suggest that students already possess potential reading interest, but it has not yet developed into a strong habit. This study recommends the implementation of more effective literacy strategies through the provision of diverse reading materials, the habituation of reading both at home and at school, and collaboration between teachers and parents in fostering a literacy culture

Abstract

This research focuses on the use of audio, visual, and audiovisual media in the learning process from Grade I to Grade VI. The study aims to analyze the types of learning media used by teachers at State Elementary School 09 Sungai Ambawang. This research employs a qualitative approach using observation and interview techniques. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative data analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that audio media are used effectively in Grade I for learning to read poetry and in Grade VI for mixed arithmetic operations, as they support listening skills and enhance students' memory. Visual media are used in Grade II through posters of the human body's organs and in Grade IV through large maps of Indonesia, helping students understand concrete concepts more clearly. Audiovisual media are used in Grade III by showing videos of heroes' struggles and in Grade V with photosynthesis animations, which have proven effective in explaining abstract and narrative materials. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the selection of learning media is greatly influenced by the stage of students' cognitive development, the characteristics of the material, and the availability of supportive facilities. Teachers are required to be creative, adaptive, and innovative in utilizing media to make the learning process more effective and enjoyable. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a practical reference for elementary school teachers in designing learning strategies that are more meaningful and aligned with students' needs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the environment as a learning resource on the learning outcomes of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for third grade students at SDN 51 Sungai Raya. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects were 25 third grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods by calculating the mean score, percentage, and categories of students’ learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the environment as a learning resource has a positive effect on students’ IPAS learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the increased student engagement during the learning process and the achievement of learning outcomes categorized as very good. Therefore, utilizing the environment as a learning resource can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to improve IPAS learning outcomes in elementary schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V SDN 2 Rasau Jaya. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang termasuk dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas V SDN 2 Rasau Jaya. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik Kelas VA (kelas eksperimen) dan VB (kelas kontrol) SDN 2 Rasau Jaya. Teknik yang digunakan untuk penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Pada pengumpulan data, penelitian menggunakan soal tes pilihan ganda. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan rumus Independent T-Test yang didahului dengan uji prasyarat analisis, yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode mind mapping dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Hasil rata-rata perolehan nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 63,70 lebih baik dari hasil rata-rata nilai posttest kelas kontrol, yaitu sebesar 55,78. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus Independent T-Test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 2-tailed 0,039 < 0,05, keputusannya adalah H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN 2 Rasau Jaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada menganalisis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi satuan berat dengan mengacu pada 5 jenis kesalahan diantaranya kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami soal, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban pada siswa kelas II SDN 51 Sungai Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif jenis penelitian deskriftif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar checklist. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dengan dokumentasi. Sumber data utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II yang berjumlah 26 siswa dan jawaban siswa kelas II tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 5 jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa diantaranya kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami soal, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, sebanyak 12 dari 26 siswa atau 46,51% siswa melakukan kesalahan transformasi masalah, sebanyak 10 dari 26 siswa atau 38,44% melakukan kesalahan membaca soal dan kesalahan keterampilan proses, sebanyak 9 dari 26 siswa atau 34,61% melakukan kesalahan memahami masalah dan sebanyak 4 dari 26 siswa atau 15,39% melakukan kesalahan penulisan jawaban dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika materi satuan berat.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a Quantum Teaching-based module motivated by the lack of the use of media by educators, causing monotony and a lack of student response in learning mathematics so that it impacted students’ interest and grades. The use of Quantum Teaching-based modules in learning can help increase students’ interest and enthusiasm. Quantum Teaching-based modules made the students easier to learn independently or need assistance. This research was a developmental research that refered to the Borg and Gall model which used nine stages in the research, (1) research and information collecting, planning, (2) planning, ( 3) develop preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, ( 7) operational product revision, (8)operational field testing and (9) final product revision. Based on the research result, the results of media experts found the data with a score 75% with the criteria "Appropriate", from linguists found 69% with the criteria "Appropriate", from material experts found 81% with the criteria "Decent", as well as the results of large-scale field trials with the score of the questionnaire answered by students found 100% with the criteria "Very Practical".

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil dari penggunaan paradigma discovery learning di kelas IV SDN 02 Rasau Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif. Model Nonequivalent Control Group Design digunakan bersama dengan model eksperimen kuasi sebagai model penelitian. Siswa dari kelas empat SDN 02 Rasau Jaya menjadi sampel penelitian. Ada tiga puluh siswa di kelas IVA dan tiga puluh siswa di kelas IVB. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes dan observasi, sebagai tes persiapan, serta uji wilcoxon, hipotesis, dan uji normalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, setelah penerapan model discovery learning, terdapat variasi nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada materi perubahan dan pemanfaatan energi. KKM untuk kelas eksperimen ditetapkan sebesar 70 berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan nilai post-test. Terdapat dua siswa yang mencapai nilai maksimum 100, dan ada satu siswa yang mencapai nilai terendah 55. Dari 27 siswa, 89,9% dari mereka mendapat nilai di atas KKM. Untuk mengevaluasi hipotesis, uji Wilcoxon digunakan karena data tidak terdistribusi secara normal. Hasil asymp sig (2-tailed) dalam uji hipotesis adalah 0,000, yang menunjukkan penerimaan yang substansial terhadap Ha. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil IPAS siswa kelas IV SDN 02 Rasau Jaya dipengaruhi oleh paradigma discovery learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam memotivasi siswa di kelas V SDN 1 Rasau Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif, yang melibatkan analisis data yang diperoleh dari observasi dan wawancara. Proses analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan observasi dilakukan secara partisipan dan wawancara menggunakan format terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya guru dalam memotivasi siswa meliputi: 1) Membuat siswa yang aktif pada aktivitas belajar mengajar. 2) Melakukan penciptaan metode pembelajaran yang memiliki variasi. 3) Melakukan penciptaan metode pembelajaran yang memiliki variasi . 4) Mengeskalasikan antusias serta semangat belajar. 5) Memberi penghargaan. 6) Melakukan penciptaan kegiatan yang mengikutsertakan keterlibatan siswa dikelas.

Abstract

Individual character will develop well, if it gets the right reinforcement, namely in the form of education. As many as 60% of schools in implementing the Character Education Program (PPK) seem to “just have time and remember” and are not conceptualized. So that character education, which should be fully implemented and have an impact on the development of student character, cannot be fully felt. Therefore, researchers tried to develop picture storybooks with a local wisdom approach to West Kalimantan as a feasible character education media. This study used a modified research development design from the ADDIE development model. The ADDIE development model consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this picture storybook development research have been declared worthy of contributing to the development of character education learning media for elementary school students. The feasibility of West Kalimantan local wisdom-based picture storybooks resulting from the validation test resulted in an average score of 3.4 with details of the media feasibility score of 3.1, material feasibility of 3.65 and language feasibility of 3.5. ABSTRAKKarakter individu akan berkembang dengan baik, apabila memperoleh penguatan yang tepat, yaitu berupa pendidikan. Sebanyak 60% sekolah dalam pengimplementasian Program Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) terkesan “asal sempat dan ingat” dan tidak terkonsep. Sehingga Pendidikan karakter yang seharusnya bisa terlaksana secara utuh dan berdampak pada perkembangan karakter siswa, menjadi tidak bisa dirasakan sepenuhnya. Oleh sebab itu peneliti mencoba untuk mengembangkan buku cerita bergambar dengan pendekatan kearifan lokal Kalimantan Barat sebagai media pendidikan karakter yang layak. Penelitian ini menggunakan modifikasi desain pengembangan penelitian dari model pengembangan ADDIE. Model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari 5 tahapan, yaitu analisis (Analysis), desain (Design), pengembangan (Development), penerapan (Implementation), dan evaluasi (Evaluation). Hasil penelitian pengembangan buku cerita bergambar ini  telah dinyatakan layak memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan media pembelajaran pendidikan karakter bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Kelayakan buku cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal Kalimantan Barat yang dihasilkan dari uji validasi menghasilkan skor rata-rata 3,4 dengan rincian skor kelayakan media 3,1, kelayakan materi 3,65 dan kelayakan bahasa 3,5.
