Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of quality of work-life and teamwork on the performance of employees of PT Rajawali Properti Mandiri Medan. To find out whether the effectiveness of communication moderates the effect of quality of work-life and teamwork on employee performance at PT Rajawali Properti Mandiri Medan. The total population in this study amounted to 116 people, and by using a saturated sampling technique, a sample of 116 people was obtained. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and residual MRA technique. The results showed that the quality of work-life had a significant effect on the performance of the employees of PT Rajawali Properti Mandiri Medan. Teamwork affects employee performance at PT Rajawali Properti Mandiri Medan. The effectiveness of communication proved significant in moderating the quality of work-life on employee performance and the effectiveness of communication proved significant in moderating teamwork on employee performance.

Abstract

From the calculation gained result for R=0.861 and R Square=0.742, it means relationship between leadership and work ethic to performance is 86.1 % and 74.2% (for R Square) it shows that the relationship is strong and positive, and the rest amount of 25.8 % explained with another thing that researcher doesn’t do. For influence of variables (leadership and work ethic to performance) can seen from calculating result of F-test (anova/simultaneous test) and T-test (partial test). From F-test gained  226.890 with 0.000 as a significant level, and F table for 161 in significant 0.05 is 3.84, it means F calculated > F table. From T-test for influence of leadership to performance gained significant level is 0.048 > 0.05, and T calculated is 1.995 > T table 1.960. Work ethic also has influence to performance, it seen from significant score is 0.000 > 0.05, and T calculated 12.795 > T table 1.960. Keywords: leadership, work ethic and employee performance

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat  yang dilakukan pada pengusaha mikro di Kelurahan Pekan Labuhan Kecamatan Medan Labuhan bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang pentingnya survey pasar dalam menjalankan usaha dan secara spesifik memberikan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan teknis cara membuat kuesioner online dan melakukan survei online ke pasar. Metode yang dipakai adalah ceramah (penyuluhan) dan praktik (pelatihan) menggunakan Handphone (HP) untuk membuat kuesioner online dengan aplikasi Google Form. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan terkait survei pasar online sebagai strategi pengembangan usaha mikro di Kelurahan Pekan Labuhan Kecamatan Medan Labuhan relatif efektif untuk merubah persepsi dan ketrampilan pengusaha dalam memanfaatkan survey pasar online melalui pembuatan kuesioner online dengan bantuan google form. Dominasi pengusaha mikro yang sebelumnya kurang memahami arti penting survei pasar sekaligus bagaimana melakukan survei pasar dengan bantuan teknologi secara online menjadi tercerahkan melalui kegiatan ini. Bahkan pengusaha mikro wanita memiliki minat besar untuk memanfaatkan ketrampilan dan ilmu yang diperoleh secara praktis guna memberikan hasil yang lebih baik bagi perkembangan usaha mereka. Kata kunci: Survei Pasar Online, Kuesioner Online, Pengusaha Mikro

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the diversity of the board of directors on the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research is causal associative research and the type of data used is quantitative data. The data used are obtained from audited company financial reports and annual reports from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression of panel data. The population of this study are manufacturing companies for the 2015-2019 period, which totaled 181 companies. The sample in this study amounted to 28 companies. The results of this study indicate that gender diversity has a negative and insignificant effect on financial performance, national diversity has a negative and significant effect on financial performance, age diversity has a positive and insignificant effect on financial performance, and educational diversity has a negative and insignificant effect on financial performance. The diversity of gender, nationality, age and education simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of suitability of work placement and compensation on work performance in the Medan City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. To find out whether the level of education moderates the effect of suitability of work placement and competence on work performance in the Medan City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. The population in this study was 175 people, and using slovin obtained a sample of 121 people. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and MRA. The results showed that the suitability of work placement had a significant effect on job performance in the Medan City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. Competence does not affect work performance at the Medan City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. The conclusion that can be obtained from the above results is that the moderator is proven to be significant in influencing the suitability of work placement for work performance. The conclusion that can be obtained from the above results is that the moderator is proven to be significant in influencing competence on work performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of service quality on customer loyalty. Service quality uses the dimensions of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to employees, while secondary data was obtained from documentation studies obtained from various information held by the company and the results of previous research. The data analysis method uses quantitative methods, namely Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The population in this study were customers of Bank Panin Dubai Syariah Medan. The sample in this study was 92 respondents. The results showed that tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy had a positive and significant effect either partially or simultaneously. While the ability of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy explain customer loyalty is 52.90% while the remaining 47.10% is explained by other variables that are not included in this research model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of members of member empowerment and the influence of empowerment on the creative industry. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were 20 members of the Hands Above Community (TDA), in the city of Mataram. Data was collected through interviews with participants, researchers made observations and made document reviews to get an overview of empowerment activities in the Hands Above Community (TDA). The research data were analyzed by classifying the data based on the variety of existing data, then connecting them with data and information obtained from literature, documents, surveys, interviews, and field observations.The results of the analysis show that member empowerment as action refers to a process of self-empowerment and support that enables members to overcome feelings of powerlessness. Members have views on member empowerment, namely: 1) responsibility which means assuming all obligations and workloads by existing boundaries, 2) initiative which means members can decide and find what to do, 3) creativity where members explore their ideas about what their duties are, 4) direct participation is part of the involvement of members, 5) delegate authority to provide data and information to other members and entrust responsibilities. members feel the positive impact of member empowerment, namely: 1) members are motivated, become more creative, motivation is energy and strength, 2) responsive and adaptive which means members pay attention to the value of work and believe that what they do is important, 3) contribution means the role and participation of members in the community, 4) communication results in better relations between members and the process of exchanging facts, ideas, opinions, 5) potential that focuses on the ability of members to carry out their roles. Abstract

The formation of perception will have an impact on the progress of Bank Syariah will also encourage people to be able to use the services of Bank Syariah as financial institutions. Lack of understanding and lack of education that they get gives different perceptions about Bank Syariah products, this is not in accordance with the real reality that Bank Syariah are banks that adopt Islamic Sharia values that forbid interest. Customer perception is closely related to attitude so that what is done by the customer is an objective reality that will influence their behaviour to use Bank Syariah services. The purpose of this study was to determine whether perceptions and attitudes affect the behaviour of entrepreneurs and employees in using sharia banking financial services. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. To conduct data analysis, data processing is carried out by using path analysis. The results of this study stated that partially perception variables significantly influence to the behaviour variables and attitude variables significantly influence to behaviour variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether internal conflict and organizational climate affect morale (spirit at work) either partially or simultaneously. The population of this study is the population in this study is the total number of 1 (one) division in the company PT Envesal Putera Megatrading Tbk. Medan as many as 154 employees. The number of samples taken in the study was 77 people using the random sampling method. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that internal conflict and organizational climate have a significant effect both simultaneously and partially on employee morale.

Abstract

Increasing the demand for college provides financial benefits for private universities to survive amid intense competition. The ability to increase interest in college, especially for prospective new students, is largely determined by accreditation, telemarketing, and the university's brand image. The main study in this research is to analyze the brand image model and college interest which is influenced by accreditation and telemarketing. The analytical method in this study uses a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The population in this study was 100 students of class XII in SMA/SMK/Private Aliyah in the city of Medan. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling where 100 class XII students were the main target. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire). The results showed that (1) directly accreditation was not significant to brand image, (2) telemarketing directly had a significant effect on brand image, (3) directly accreditation had a significant effect on college interest, (4) telemarketing directly had a significant effect on interest college interest, (5) directly brand image has a significant effect on college interest, (6) indirectly brand image has no role in mediating accreditation of college interest and (7) brand image indirectly has a role in mediating telemarketing on college interest.
