Abstract

Implementing class planning is an important factor in increasing student learning motivation at school. This research discusses how good classroom arrangement can positively influence student learning motivation. Through a literature review and case study, this research investigates various effective classroom planning strategies, including furniture arrangement, decoration, lighting, and use of technology in the classroom. The research results show that class planning that takes these factors into account can increase students' interest in learning, concentration and participation in the learning process. The practical implication of this research is the important role of classroom design in creating a learning environment that supports and motivates students.

Abstract

This research aims to examine managing classes in the digital era by utilizing technology for learning in elementary schools and its impact on quality and providing benefits to students. Classroom management learning is In the current digital era, in managing classes in elementary schools, there are many meaningful transitions that take place by utilizing them in the learning process. Technology recommends various tools and resources that can increase the need and accuracy of learning methods, both for teachers and students. This article explores how technology can be used to manage classes more efficiently, overcome emerging challenges, and maximize the potential of education in elementary schools. Some important aspects explained include using software in the form of online learning platforms and digital collaboration tools. In addition, this article also highlights the importance of developing digital skills for teachers and students, as well as highlighting the important role of technology in creating inclusive and interactive learning environments. By utilizing technology optimally, we hope to create a learning atmosphere that is more enjoyable, adaptive, and in line with students' needs in this digital era.Classroom management is an approach that combines various disciplines to deliver a more holistic and relevant classroom management learning experience for students. This literature study analyzes various previous studies that discuss effectiveness in managing classes, in the context of primary and secondary education up to higher education. The results of the literature review show that classroom management learning can improve the quality of digital learning through presenting material that is more contextual and interactive. This method was also found to be effective in improving classroom management, due to active participation and the connection between lesson material and real life.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative description with data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and literature studies regarding classroom management to increase students' interest in learning. The aim is to describe the supporting factors, strategies, obstacles, and effectiveness of classroom management to increase elementary school students' interest in learning. The data used is secondary data. The research results show that classroom management does not only focus on technical or strategic aspects, but also pays attention to the individual characteristics of the students who attend the class. Therefore, it is important for teachers to continue to improve their skills in classroom management to ensure that an optimal learning environment can be created, thereby fostering students' interest in learning and facilitating better academic achievement

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to the field of education, making technology an essential part of the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. This study aims to evaluate and improve classroom management in a digital learning context at Rosela Indah Public Elementary School. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews with the fourth-grade homeroom teacher, classroom observations, and analysis of school documents. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the integration of digital technology enhances learning effectiveness and student engagement. Teachers play a key role in creating enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences through the use of self- developed learning applications. Digital learning also facilitates easier access to information, boosts students’ motivation, and encourages better interaction and collaboration. However, several challenges were identified, including increased workload for teachers and parents, inconsistent content quality, and risks related to students’ concentration and health. Effective strategies include the use of learning management applications and a point-based reward and punishment system. Achieving success in digital learning requires collaboration among teachers, students, parents, and sufficient technological support. This study recommends improving teachers’ digital competencies, developing a curriculum that supports digital approaches, involving parents, and conducting regular evaluations.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is a core element of mathematics learning, enabling students to meaningfully apply mathematical principles in problem-solving. Despite its importance, many learners continue to face difficulties in comprehending and utilizing these concepts effectively. This study investigated the impact of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model, integrated with the Google Sites platform, on elementary students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts. The research adopted a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design. A total of 68 students participated, divided equally into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received instruction through the STAD model supported by Google Sites, while the control group was taught using the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) model. Data collection instruments included conceptual understanding tests administered both before and after the intervention, alongside supporting documentation. Findings indicated that students exposed to the STAD model combined with Google Sites demonstrated significantly greater gains in conceptual understanding compared to those taught using the TPS model. Statistical analysis revealed that the integration of Google Sites into the STAD model contributed to a 36.6% improvement in students' conceptual understanding. The results suggest that incorporating digital platforms like Google Sites into cooperative learning strategies such as STAD can offer a promising alternative for enhancing students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts. This approach fosters collaboration, active engagement, and deeper processing of mathematical ideas in the classroom.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical understanding ability of students because it is difficult to understand abstract concepts in mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model Assisted by Pop-Up Book Media on the Mathematical Understanding Ability of Elementary School Students. The research design used in this study is a quasi-experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, and uses a purposive sampling technique. The sample numbered 28 in each experimental and control class. The data collection process used pretest and posttest instruments with descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The results showed that the CTL model can improve students' mathematical understanding ability by 67.7% so it can be concluded that the CTL model is effective in improving students' mathematical understanding ability.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of PISA 2022 which show that students'reading ability in Indonesia is still low. Therefore, to overcome the low readingliteracy of students, the right learning model with a syntax that is easy toremember is needed, one of which is the RADEC (Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-Create) learning model. This study aims to determine the influence of theapplication of the RADEC learning model on students' reading ability. This studyused a quasi-experimental design with one experimental class using the RADEClearning model and one control class using the Cooperative Script learning model.The research sample was 70 students from a total population of 113 students. Theresults of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationshipbetween the RADEC learning model and the reading comprehension ability ofstudents in the experimental class.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the reading guide method assisted by flipbook media on improving reading comprehension skills of elementary school students. The low level of students' reading comprehension ability serves as the background for this research, which seeks to offer a more effective and engaging learning alternative. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects were two fourth-grade classes at SDN Setia Mulya 02 in Bekasi Regency: the experimental class received instruction using the reading guide method assisted by flipbook media, while the control class used the cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type. Data collection techniques included pre-tests, post-tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The results of data analysis indicated a significant improvement in reading comprehension skills among students in the experimental class compared to the control class. It can be concluded that the reading guide method supported by flipbook media is effective in enhancing elementary students' reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This study focuses on the low mathematical critical thinking skills of students, as they often struggle to modify mathematical models. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and improvement of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) learning model assisted by canva media on the mathematical critical thinking skills of elementary school students. This research was conducted in a class IV elementary school, focusing on the mathematics subject of flat building materials. The class used class IVA as the experimental class using the SFE learning model assisted by canva media, while class IVC as the control class used the Group Investigation (GI) learning model. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design and the technique used in selecting samples is purposive sampling. The sample used amounted to 52 students with each class of 26 students. Based on the research results, the SFE learning model has an effect of 56% on students' mathematical critical thinking skills. Then, based on the results of the average N-Gain of the experimental class of 78.00, while in the control class of 62.38. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the SFE learning model assisted by canva media can provide a better influence and improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills in class IV flat building material.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Assemblr Edu media on the science literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ science literacy and the lack of variety and innovation in instructional media used by teachers. This research employs a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were students from class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group at SDN Cikalongsari I, Karawang Regency, with 22 students in each class. The experimental class received instruction using the Discovery Learning model assisted by Assemblr Edu media, while the control class was taught using the Direct Instruction model. The instrument used was an essay test designed to measure students' science literacy skills based on three indicators: explaining scientific phenomena, designing and evaluating scientific investigations, and interpreting data and scientific evidence. The data analysis results showed that the influence of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Assemblr Edu on students’ science literacy skills reached 51%, and the N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.76 or 76%, which falls into the high interpretation category. In comparison, the control class using the Direct Instruction model scored 0.68 or 68%, categorized as moderate. These findings indicate a significant improvement in science literacy skills in the experimental class compared to the control class. Therefore, the use of the Discovery Learning model supported by Assemblr Edu media is proven to be effective in enhancing elementary school students’ science literacy skills.
