Abstract

The research of effect of different feed on brood stock to ovulation, incubation and larval survival rate of Ingir-ingir fish (Mystus nigriceps) has been implemented in Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau, Pekanbaru from January until March 2016. This study used a complete randomized design with four treatments consisting of feeding the form earthworms (Lumbricus rubbelus), feeding the form Hairy Cockle (Anadara antiquata), and feeding the form million fish (Poecilia reticulata). Each treatment was repeated three times. The results showed that difeerent feed brood stock Ingir-ingir fish (Mystus nigriceps) produces the best on feeding the form million fish (Poecilia reticulata) which produce latency time 6, 47 (hours, minutes), the number of eggs striping result average of 1061 eggs/g broodstock, fertilization rate average of 19,38%, hatching rate average of 53,96% and larval survival rate average of 66,85%.Keywords: Mystus nigriceps, feed, ovulation, incubation, survival rate

Abstract

The research was conducted in June 2014 in the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of the Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty University of Riau. The research was to determine the effect of ovaprim on ovulation and egg quality of ingir-ingir (Mystus nigriceps). The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Treatment in this study were P0 (NaCl 0,9% dose of 1 ml / kg body weight) P1 (ovaprim dose of 0,5 ml / kg body weight) P2 (ovaprim dose of 0,7 ml/ kg body weight) and P3 (dose ovaprim 0,9 ml / kg body weight).The results of the research showed that the ovaprim doses 0.7 ml / kg body weight gave the optimum result inter of latent period (6,37 hours), number of egg striping (315 eggs / gram broodstock), increase the diameter eggs (0,038 mm) and percent increase egg maturation (14,3%), and the ovisomatik index (9,85%).Keywords: Ovaprim doses, Ovulation, Ovisomatik indeks and egg quality

Abstract

The research aimed to determine effect of addition probiotic in artificial feed to growth and retention proteins on fingerling of baung (Hemibagrus nemurus). This research used a completely randomized design (RAL) with one factor, five treatments and 3 replications. The treatment given was different concentrated of probiotic in feed. Consisting of: control (without the addition of probiotic), P1 (addition probiotic of 2 ml/kg feed), P2 (4 ml/kg of feed), P3 (6 ml/kg of feed) and P4 (8 ml/kg of feed). Feed protein content of 28,33%. The results showed addition of probiotic 2, 4, 6, and 8 ml into artificial feed did not give a significant effect (P>0,05) on the feed efficiency, retention of protein, specific growth rate, and survival rate fingerling of baung. The best treatment contained in P4 (8 ml/kg of feed) with 53,92% digestibility of feed, feeding efficiency 26,46%, protein retention 22,43% and the specific growth rate of 2,05%.Keywords: Probiotic, artificial feed, Hemibagrus nemurus

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to determine the effect of combination Ovatide with hCG on ovulation and hatching of fish egg of Pawas (Osteochilus hasselti C.V). This research was conducted from May-October 2018 at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University. The method used is an experimental method with a Completely RandomizedDesign (CRD)with five treatments and three replications.The treatment were P1 (Ovatide 0,5 ml/kg + 0 IU/kg body weight hCG), P2 (Ovatide 0,5 ml/kg + 450 IU/kg body weight hCG), P3 (Ovatide 0,5 ml/kg + 550 IU/kg body weight hCG), P4 (Ovatide 0,5 ml/kg + 650 IU/kg body weight hCG), P5 (Ovatide 0 ml/kg + 550 IU/kg body weight hCG). The result showed thatcombination Ovatide with hCG on P3 (Ovatide 0,5 ml/kg + 550 IU/kg body weight hCG)was the highest of P3 with latency period 5,06 hours, number off egg stripping 179 egg/g broodstock, ovisomatic index 16,43%, increase of diameter egg 0,104 mm, increase of egg maturation 14%, fertilization rate 91,26%, hatching rate 90,17%, and survival rate 90,38%. The water quality parameters during research was in optimal range temperature 25-28°C, pH 6and dissolved oxygen 3,77-5,20 mg/l. Keywords :Osteochilus hasselti C.V, Ovatide, hCG, Ovulation, and Hatching rate

Abstract

This research was conducted from April to November 2015. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of ovaprim doses on spawning success of signal barb (Labeobarbus festivus, Heckel 1843). The method used in this research was an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. The treatment used in this research was an injection of ovaprim with different doses i.e : P0 (0,2 mL NaCl physiology 0,9 %/kg of body weight), P1 (0,5 mL/kg of body weight), P2 (0,7 mL/kg of body weight) and P3 (0,9 mL/kg of body weight). The results showed that ovaprim dose of 0,7 mL/kg of body weight was the best in turn of latency time (5.32 hours), total eggs stripping (14.095 eggs/g gonads), egg diameter (0,91 mm), egg maturity (87,7 %), Ovi Somatic Index (20,15 %), fertility rate (40,39 %), hatching rate (14,85 %), and survival rate (38,07 %).Key words : Ovaprim, Spawning, Signal Barb (Labeobarbusfestivus, Heckel 1843)

Abstract

This research was conducted from October until Desember 2015 in Hatchery and Fish Breeding Laboratory. Departement of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. University of Riau The aims of this research was to know the effect of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L) putuitary gland injected with different dose on ovulation and survival rate of ingir-ingir (Mystus nigriceps) This research used on experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD), one factor four treathment and three replications. The treatments were : PO : control with NaCl 0,9% (0,2 ml), P1 : Injected with 1:3 dose (1 kg of recipient : 3 kg of donor), P2 : Injected with 1:4 dose (1kg of recipient : 4 kg of of donor) and P3 : Injected with 1:5 dose (1 kg of recipient : 5 kg of donor). The results showed that common carp (Cyprinus carpio L) injected gave an effect on ovulation and survival rate of ingir-ingir (Mystus nigriceps). The treatment in P1 : Injected with 1:3 dose (1 kg of recipient : 3 kg of donor) were the best treatment with an average of latent time 6 hours 22 minutes, Ovisomatic index with 12,43%, fertilization rate (FR) 66,97%, hatching rate (HR%) 75,62% and 4 day survival rate of ingir-ingir larvae with 76,91%.   Key  word : Pituitary gland, ovulation, survival rate, Mystus nigriceps

Abstract

                   AbstractThe aim of this research was to determine the effect of stocking density and feeding rate on growth and survival rate of common snakehead larvae. This research was conducted from Februari-April 2020 at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University. The Method used was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with two factors, the first was stocking density with three levels namely 3 larvae/L (S3), 5 larvae/L (S5) and 7 larvae/L (S7). While the second factor was feeding rate 60% (F60) and 80% (F80) of biomass. To minimize errors, each level of treatment was repeated 3 times. The result showed that stocking density and feeding rate were significant on absolute weight, absolute length, and survival rate. The treatment S3F80 (3 larvae/L and feeding rate 80% of biomass weight) were significant (P<0,05) with an absolute weight of 0,97 g, absolute length 4,80 cm, and survival rate 92,66 %. The water quality parameters during research was in optimal range temperature 26,5-26,9°C, pH 5,7-6 and dissolved oxygen 3,16-3,64 mg/l.Keywords : Stocking denstity, Feeding Rate, Growth and Survival rate

Abstract

The research was conducted from Maret – Mei 2013 in laboratory ofbreeding Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of thisresearch was to investigate suitable feed for the maturation of the gonads of sepatmutiara (Trichogaster leeri Blkr) reared with different feeding treatment such asGonad Maturity Level (TKG), gonad maturation index (IKG), fecundity, eggdiameter and egg maturation. The research method used was CompletelyRandomized Design (CDR) with three treatments and three replications. Thetreatment in this study were P1 (Tubifex sp), P2 (Shrimp pellet), P3 (Shrimp pellet+ Vitamin E).The result showed that good feed for the maturation of the gonads wasshrimp pellets + Vitamin E, total fish reached TKG IV 13 tails , index gonadsomatic 9,32 %, fecundity of 2646 eggs, egg diameter 0.70 mm. The temperaturerange from 26-28 0 C, pH 5-6, dissolved oxygen 4-5 ppm.Keyword: different feed, Gonad maturation, Trichogaster leeri Blkr

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluete the effect of extender coconut water and NaCl on sperm motility, viability, and fertility of riverine bagrid catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) storage. This experiment used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely Treatment P0: 0.1 ml sperm plus coconut water 0% + NaCl 100%, P1: 0.1 ml sperm plus coconut water 40 % + NaCl 60%, P2: 0.1 ml sperm plus coconut water 50% + NaCl 50%, P3 0.1 ml sperm plus coconut water 60 % + NaCl 40%, and P4 0.1 ml sperm plus coconut water 70 % + NaCl 70%. The results showed that the addition of coconut water and NaCl on sperm storage significantly affect sperm quality of catfish and during 96 hours of storage. The result showed that the best quality sperm of catfish treated by P2 was higher than (P<0,05) other treatment. In addition, the optimal storage time was in 48 hours, because it had very good motility and highest viability (63,861%). But after 96 hours in storage, fertility decrease until 21,80%.Keywords: Hemibagrus nemurus, coconut water, spermatozoa
