Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the forms of feminism and their implementation in the learning of novel texts in class XII of high school. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data source in this study is Ayu Utami's Saman novel. The data in this study are words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that show the form of feminism in the novel. The subject of this research is the researcher himself with the help of other instruments in the form of a recording sheet. The data collection technique, which is reading and understanding Ayu Utami's Saman novel, conducts literature studies related to research problems, and searches and records data relating to research problems contained in the novel. The data validation technique uses triangulation techniques. The results of the study were found as participants. First, there are two forms of feminism in Ayu Utami's Saman novel, namely verbal and nonverbal forms. Verbal form is a form of the character's struggle through verbal utterances by the characters. And nonverbal forms are physical actions of characters. Second, the application of feminism in Ayu Utami's Saman novel in 2013 class XII high school text learning curriculum with basic competencies related to three aspects of assessment, namely the assessment of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Kata Kunci: feminisme, pembelajaran teks novel

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading skills of news comprehension of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. Second, describe the news text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading news comprehension with news writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 15% of the population. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test results of news comprehension and scores on the results of writing news text skills. This research instrument is an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills of news and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. Three results of this study. First, the reading skills of news comprehension in good qualifications (B) with an average grade of 78.56. Secondly, news writing skills in good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.78. Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news text with n-1 degrees of freedom at a 95% confidence level. T value (3.77) is greater than t table (1.72), that is tcount> t table (3.77> 1.72), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table.    Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Berita, Keterampilan          menulis berita

Abstract

LOCAL WISDOM IN THE MODERN SHORT STORIES BY MINANGKABAU WRITERSAbstractMinangkabau culture is one of hundreds of cultures that exist in Indonesia. As a community, ethnic Minangkabau has moral teachings, values and social norms. The values, ethics, and behaviors serve as a source of wisdom in the life of the use of local knowledge. The literary work is a product of the wisdom that is able to provide enlightenment for those who appreciate it. Based on research at the expense of local wisdom in short short story writer works Minangkabau story tip, found some local wisdom as follows. First, local view based on knowledge of life (philosophy), which is true and courageous because the enemy is not requested, the averted eyes met. Second, local wisdom based on an attitude of social life, recommendations and iktibar that life should help each other, life must be saved by saving, provide assistance for the construction of public facilities, take a lesson from the events experienced by others, and environmental conservation with make it sacred. Third, local knowledge based ceremonies; traditional ceremonies as a forum to practice diplomacy and ceremony by mutual assistance principle. Fourth, local wisdom based on the principles, standards and rules and regulations that have materialized in social systems. Fifth, local wisdom based on habits, daily behaviors in social interactions, needs of society, take care for the child with traditional food, and Ramadan and Eid as strengthening the relationship.      Kata Kunci: muatan; kearifan lokal; cerpen mutakhir; cerpenis MinangkabauAbstrakBudaya Minangkabau merupakan salah satu dari ratusan budaya yang ada di Indonesia. Sebagai komunitas, etnis Minangkabau memiliki ajaran moral, nilai-nilai, dan norma-norma sosial. Nilai-nilai, etika, dan perilaku berfungsi sebagai sumber kearifan dalam kehidupan penggunaan pengetahuan lokal. Karya sastra merupakan produk kearifan yang mampu memberikan pencerahan bagi mereka yang mengapresiasinya. Berdasarkan penelitian dengan mengetengahkan kearifan lokal dalam cerita pendek karya penulis Minangkabau, ditemukan beberapa kearifan lokal sebagai berikut. Pertama, pandangan lokal berdasarkan pengetahuan hidup (filsafat), yang benar dan berani karena musuh tidak diminta, mata dihindari bertemu. Kedua, kearifan lokal berdasarkan sikap kehidupan sosial, rekomendasi, dan iktibar bahwa hidup harus saling menolong, hidup akan selamat dengan saling menyelamatkan, membantu pembangunan fasilitas umum, mengambil pelajaran dari peristiwa yang dialami oleh orang lain, dan pelestarian lingkungan dengan menyakralkan. Ketiga, pengetahuan lokal dengan upacara, upacara adat sebagai forum untuk berlatih diplomasi dengan prinsip saling menolong. Keempat, kearifan lokal berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip, standar dan aturan dan peraturan yang telah terwujud dalam sistem sosial. Kelima, kearifan lokal berdasarkan kebiasaan, perilaku sehari-hari dalam interaksi sosial, kebutuhan yaitu hidup masyarakat, menjaga anak dengan makanan tradisional, dan Ramadan dan Idul Fitri memperkuat hubungan.Kata Kunci: muatan; lokal kearifan; mutakhir cerpen; cerpenis minangkabau

Abstract

This article was written to illustrate the effect of using problem based learning model with serialized media relation to writing skill of exposition of VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. This research data is a score in the skills of writing exposition texts before and after using the problem-based model of learning assisted media series image. This study has three results. First, the skills of writing expository texts before using the problem based learning model with the help of the medium of serial images are in the qualification Enough (C). Second, the skill of writing the text of the exposition of the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman after using the problem based learning model assisted by the media of the series is qualified More than Enough (Ldc). Third, based on the t test concluded that there is a significant influence on the skill of writing expository text because thitung> ttabel (5,54> 1.70).Kata kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning, media gambar berseri, menulis teks eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of problem based learning student worksheet for learning to write description text. This type of research was the development of research with the Research and Development (R&D) methode. Products that was produced in this research was the problem based learning student worksheet for learning to write a valid, practical, and effective description text . The validity of the student worksheet was 96,87% with a valid category. The value practicalities of the student worksheet from teachers was 89,84% that was  categorized as very practical. The practicalities value of the student worksheet of the students was 89,63% categorized as very practical. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to know the correlation of reading comprehension skills of the text of the observation result with the skill of writing the text of the observation report of the students of grade VII SMPN 2 Nan Sabaris, Padang Pariaman District. This type of research is quantitative. The method used in this research is descriptive method with correlational design. The population is the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Nan Sabaris, Padang Pariaman District, which is 105 people divided into four classes. The sample of this study is 32 people. The research consists of two variables, namely the independent variable (reading comprehension skills of the text of the observation report of the seventh grade of SMPN 2 Nan Sabaris Padang Pariaman) and the dependent variable (writing skill of the observation report of grade VII SMPN 2 Nan Sabaris Padang Pariaman). The result of the research shows that for the skill of writing the text of the observation result, it is necessary to read comprehension skill of the observation report. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is a significant relationship (meaning) between reading comprehension skills text report the results of observation with the skills of writing text reports of observations of students of class VII SMPN 2 Nan Sabaris Padang Pariaman on n-1 degrees of freedom at a significant level 95 % with thitung larger than ttable that is 5,652> 1,70. Kata kunci; membaca pemahaman, menulis teks laporan hasil observasi

Abstract

                                                          ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the skills listening appreciative poem grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. Second, it describes the text short story writing skills of students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman, and third, describing the correlation of the short story with appreciative listening skills writing skills text short grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. Theory related to this research is the theory of (a) the skill of writing short stories, (b) the text of the short story, and (c) skills listening appreciative short story.This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. The population of this research is to grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman are registered on the 2018/2019 academic year, i.e. 268 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results and appreciative listening skills short score test results text short story writing skills. results of the research there are three. First, the skill to listen appreciative short grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman is located on more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average value of 75.21. Secondly, the text of the short story writing skills of students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman is located on more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average of 75.00. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this article is to describe influences in using modeling technique toward student’s ability in writing biography text in X SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi. This research is quantitative research through experimental method. The result of the research are first,the ability of students of second grade in SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi in writing the text before using modeling technique in the stage of More than fair qualification (C) on avarage 65,59; second, the ability in writing the text after using modeling technique in the stage of good qualification (B) on avarage 78,36; third, the ability in writing the text has been used this method more effective than before use it. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, teknik pemodelan, teks cerita ulang biografi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is written to discuss the results of research on the relationship of interest in reading the narrative expository writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang. This research data in the form of a score questionnaire interest in reading and writing skills test score results expository narrative. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely questionnaire to measure the level of mastery of reading and performance test to measure the level of mastery of narrative expository writing skills. This research is a quantitative experimental method. The results of this research are three: (1) the level of interest in reading students' mastery of grade VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang are in qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 74.49, (2) the level of mastery of narrative expository writing skills graders VII SMP Negeri 11 Padang are in qualification More than Enough (LDC) with an average value of 74.55, and (3) based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = n-1 because thitung> ttable (31.40> 1.68). Kata kunci : hubungan, minat baca, narasi ekspositoris

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the educational values of character in Andrea Hirata’s novel entitled Ayah. The research is a qualitative descriptive method. The approach taken in this study is a mimetic approach.This research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences and the discourse displaying events and characters that indicate the educational values of character in Andrea Hirata’s Ayah novel including: (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) creative, (4) independent, (5) pacifist, (6) worker, (7) curious, (8) friendly, (9) who likes reading, (10) nationalist, and (11) patriotic. The techniques of collecting research data here are to read and understand, decide the main character and supporting character, inventory, interpret, and conclude.Kata kunci: nilai, pendidikan, karakter, implikasi
