Abstract

                                                        ABSTRACTThe research is aimed (1) to describe ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X at SMA Negeri 12 Padang before using inkuiri strategy, (2) to describe the ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X SMA Negeri 12 Padang after using inkuiri strategy, (3) to describe the effect of inkuiri strategy to words the ability of writing biographical texts of students grade X at SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This is quantitative research combines with experimental method. Based on data analysis, the use of cooperative integrated reading and composition learning model influences the ability of writing biographical texts of students grade at SMA Negeri 12 Padang.Kata kunci: pengaruh, strategi pembelajaran inkuiri, menulis teks biografi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the correlation vocabulary with exposition text writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This research data is the result of the test writing skills scores exposition text using descriptive methods. Data were collected through performance tests. The results of this study is the correlation vocabulary with exposition text writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Padang at significant level of 95% with degrees of freedom (n-1), were tvalue >ttable (2.89> 1.67). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of tvalue was bigger than ttable. Kata kunci: korelasi, kosakata, keterampilan, menulis teks eksposisi

Abstract

The purpose of this research is. (1) describe the argument essay writing skills without the use of constructivist strategies class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping. (2) describe the argument essay writing skills using constructivist strategy of class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping. (3) the effect of using constructivist strategies for essay writing skills of argumentation class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping. The data of this study is the result of an argument essay writing skills test students using constructivist strategies and the test results without the use of constructivist strategies. The data sources of this study are students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping Pasaman semester of the school year 2011/2012. Data collected using the experimental method, which aims to control or control any symptoms that appear under certain conditions, so that can know cause and effect of the symptoms that occur. The study's findings that there is an influence on the use of constructivist strategies in teaching writing argument essay.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the forms of sexual phenomena, (2) the elements of fiction that builds sexual phenomena, (3) the factors that cause sexual phenomenon, and (4) the similarities and differences in sexual phenomena Dadaisme masterpiece novel by Dewi Sartika Imipramine novel work of Nova Ryanti Joseph. The data of this study the form of words. Data were collected by using phase read, understand and record the forms and elements of fiction that builds on the phenomenon of sexual characters in the novel, as well as an inventory of the data in the format of the inventory data. The findings of the study in both novels are (1) the forms of the phenomenon of sexual intercourse that is legally married, sexual relations between men and women outside of marriage, adultery, incest, homosexuality and masturbation, (2) the elements of fiction that builds phenomenon namely sexual monologues and dialogues of the characters, (3) factors contributing to the phenomenon of the sexual and psychological environmental factors, (4) similarity of sexual phenomena, namely sex husband wives, sex between men and women outside marriage, infidelity and differences sexual phenomena, namely incest, homosexuality, masturbation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ideology of the main character in the novel Ranah 3 Warna works Ahmad Fuadi, which includes a reflection of ideology, familiis, sosialis, idealistic, religious, optimistic and sensitifis were illustrated from the behavior of figures. Type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods.The data in this study are sentences that describe the ideology of the main figures. Sources of data in this study is novel Ranah 3 Warna works Ahmad Fuadi.The findings of study are: (1) Aif Fikri as the main character, (2) the role ideology familiis, sosialis, idealistic, religious, optimistic, and sensitifis.

Abstract

This article was written that has purpose to describe and analyze the improving of rewriting skill of fairytale by using CIRC technique. Subject of this research is students at class VII.D at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Emas, Tanah Datar regency which consists at 20 students. Based on the research finding of rewriting fairytales skill by using CIRC technique of student at class VII.D at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Emas, Tanah Datar Regency can be concludd to some points. First the process of teaching rewriting faiytale by using CIRC technique is going better. Second the implementation of CIRC technique in two cycles (fourth time meeting) can improve  students skill in rewriting of fairytale about 71,8%  in cycle 1 and then it is increasing in cycle II become 82,88%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is describe the values of character education which is contained in the novel of Asma Nadia “Rumah Tanpa Jendela” such as : (1) loving god and truth. (2) responsibility, discipline, and self independent. (3) respect and courtesy. (4) affection, care, and teamwork. (5) self-comfident, creative and never give up. (6) fair and spirit leadership. (7) nice and humble, (8) tolerance and peace. This  is a kind of qualitative research by using descriptive method which can be used to describe data in the novel of Asma Nadia “RumahTanpa Jendela”. The steps in analyzing the data is First, describe the data which is related to the values of character education. Second, interprete the data that have been analyzed. Third, divide the  data according to the values of character education. Fourth, conclude the result of the reseach.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) describing the kinds of behavior of sexual digress in Nayla novel masterpiece of Djenar Maesa Ayu with Tabula Rasa novel masterpiece of Ratih Kumala, 2) describing factor of causing behavior of sexual digress in both of novel, 3) describing analogies and differences of behavior of sexual digress in both of novel. The datum collect by descriptive method the following research finding. The first, kinds of behavior of sexual digress in the both of novel are homosexual (lesbian and gay), pedophilia. The second, factor of causing behavior of sexual digress in the both of novels are psychologycal, sociocultural, and education and family factor. The third, analogies and differences behavior of sexual digress in both of novels are 1) analogies are homosexual (gay), obscenity, masturbation, and adultery. Aspect personality of dominant figure in Nayla novel is ego while Tabula Rasa is id.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe postcolonial component which was hegemony and mimicry that was experienced by characters in Atheis novel from Achdiat K. Mihardja. Data of study were characters utterance, display of narrator and acting of the characters in the novel. The primary source of data was texts from Atheis novel by Achdiat K. Mihardja. Data were collected by using qualitative decriptive which was read and written into inventaritation data from and analyzing data based on postcolonial theory. The fiding of the study showed postcolonial component in the novel, they were hegemony and mimicry. Five ideologies that were showed hegemony, languange mimicry and culture that was exeperienced by the characters in Atheis novel from Achdiat K. Mihardja.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to describe social critique forms in the collection of poetries “Malu (Aku) Jadi Orang Indonesia” (MAJOI) by Taufiq Ismail, (2) to explain the causing factors of social critique happened in the collection of poetries “Malu (Aku) Jadi Orang Indonesia” (MAJOI) by Taufiq Ismail. The research data are poetry lines in the collection of poetries “Malu (Aku) Jadi Orang Indonesia” (MAJOI) by Taufiq Ismail. The cources of data are twenty of one hundred poetries in the collection of poetries MAJOI that are taken from the book of the collection of poetries “Malu (Aku) Jadi Orang Indonesia” (MAJOI) by Taufiq Ismail published by Yayasan Indonesia the second publishing in year 2000. The research data are collected by using descriptive method. The finding of the research shows that the forms of social critique are (1) poverty and job vacancy problems, (2) crime and its solution, and (3) bureaucracy, politic, and security problem. Whereas, causing factors of social critique happened are (1) economic gap in society, (2) the tendency of government policy in overcoming the crisis of economy, (3) the militaristic that is dominat in government.
