Abstract

                                                   ABSTRACTThis article is written to determine the correlation of reading comprehension skills to the skill of writing a text description of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 V Koto Kp. Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This research is a quantitative research by using descriptive correlational design. The variables in this study, namely reading comprehension skills as a variable X and writing skills of description text as a variable Y. The research instruments are an objective test and test performance. This research data is the result score skill tests readingcomprehension and writing skills test score results of the description text. The test results was compared using t-test formula to determine the correlation of reading comprehension skills to the skill of writing a text description of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 V Koto Kp. Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The are three results in this study. First, the reading comprehension skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 V Koto Kp. Dalam Kabupaten PadangPariaman are in a good qualifying with an average value of 82.79. Second, the text description writing skills of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 V Koto Kp. Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman are in a good qualifying with an average of 82.11. Third, based on the t-test results, it was concluded that there is a correlation had been reading comprehension skills of the students' writing skills of description text class VII SMP Negeri 1 V Kto Kp. Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman because table value <thitung (1.80 <3,13).Kata kunci: korelasi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to explain the influence of discovery learning model assisted by song media to the skills of writing poetry text class X students SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh. This type of research is quantitative research with One Group Pretest and Posstest Design. Total population of 317 students. The sample in this study were students of grade X.3 SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh as many as 34 students determined by using purposive sampling technique. The data of this research is the result of the skill of writing poetry writing skill of class X student of SMA Negeri 3 Payakumbuh before and after using the discovery learning model with by song media. The results of the research are: First, the skill of writing poetry text of the students before using the model of discovery learning with the song  media obtained an average score of 50.61. Second, the skill of writing poetry text of the students after using the discovery learning model of media auxiliary obtained an average score of  75,74. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is received at a significant level of 95% and degrees of freedom (dk) = n - 1 tcount> ttable (8,97> 1.70). Kata kunci: discovery learning, media lagu, keterampilan menulis, teks puisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the development of learning modules for writing exposition text Problem Based Learning model with a valid, practical, and effective . This type of research was the development of research methods of research and development (R&D). This study uses a model of the development of Four-D (4-D) were simplified into 3-D. The results of the study is the product of the learning modules write exposition text model Problem Based Learning for students of class X. The level of validity of the module is 89.66 % with the category of very valid . Level module practicalities by teachers was 90.44 % categorized as very practical . Level practicalities of modules by students was 91.37% categorized as very practical . Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to illustrate the effect of using model Copy The Master techniques on the writing skills of biography text in class X of MAN 1 Padang. This research used quantitative method which usedone group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research in class X MAN 1 Padang. There was 239 population but there was only one class to be the sampel. It was class X IPS 1 which consisted of 32 students that choosen by using purposive sampling technique. Research data is the result of the score in the skill of writing biography text before and after using Copy The Master technique. This study has three result. First, the skill to write biography text in class X MAN 1 Padang before using the Copy The Master technique with an average score of 67,84. Second, the skill of writing biography text of the students of class X MAN 1 Padang aftel using the model imitation technique with an average score of 77,21. Third, based on the t-test at the level of 0.95 obtained tcount >ttabel (3,99 > 1,70). So, it can be said that H1 is accepted. Abstract

This article aims to describe the level of writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. Type of this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of the research there are three as follows. First, writing skills text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman before using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted model is at a sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 63.02. Second, the skills of writing text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman after using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted models are on good qualifications (B) with an average value of 84.55. Third, based on the t-test, it was concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of techniques of audiovisual media-assisted models resembled towards writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 thitung > ttabel because Pariaman (3.810 > 1.67). Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Teknik Tiru Model, Media Audiovisual

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was to (1) describe the level of listening comprehension skills of the text description of  the seventh grade students of  SMP Negeri 2 Bayang  (2) to describe the skill level of writing the description text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang; and (3) to describe the correlational of listening comprehension skills of the description text skill of  writing text description of student of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang. Theories used in this research are skill, listening comprehension of description text, writing skill of description, correlation skill listening comprehension text description to skill of writing text description of student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang.This research type is quantitative research by using descriptive method. An descriptive method with correlation approach. The population in this study is the students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang registered in the academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 218 students. The sample of this study amounted to 40 students. The sampling of this research was done by propotional random sampling technique. The data of this research is score of skill listening comprehension result in the form of objective test and score of skill writing skill in the form of performance test of class VII student of SMP Negeri 2 Bayang. Based on the research result. It is also evident in the implementation of learning that shows the interrelationship between one another.      Kata kunci: Keterampilan Menyimak; Keterampilan

Abstract

This article was written to describe the value of character education contained in the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan of Asma Nadia’s work and the implication for the study of the text of the novel. This research is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research are words, phrases, and sentences that show the value of character education derived from the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan by Asma Nadia, published by Asma Nadia Publishing house Depok in June 2014. Based on the results of analyzing the found as many as 129 values of religious character education, 13 values of responsibility character education, 17 values of mutual character education, 13 values of education are polite, 19 values of charahter education curious, and 19 honest character education value. Based on the results of the discussion it can be seen that the results of this study can be implicated in novel text learning. Kata kunci: nilai, pendidikan karakter, novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the study is to describe the skill of reading Fable Story Texts on Writing Skills for Fable Story Texts of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 35 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 35 Padang who were enrolled in the 2019/2020 school year, namely as many as 134 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 35 students. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the results of the test skills for reading fable text and tests of fable story writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests namely objective tests to measure the skill of reading fable story texts and performance tests to measure the writing skills of fable stories. The results of this study are three. First, the ability to read fable story texts in class VIII Padang Public Middle School 35 is in good qualification (B) with an average value of 77.55. Second, the skill to write fable story texts in grade VIII Padang Public Middle School 35 is in good qualification (B) with an average value of 73.97. Third, there is a contribution to the contribution of fable's text reading skills to the fable writing text skills of Grade VIII students of Padang State Middle School at 67.57%. It was concluded that the skill to read fable story texts contributed to the skill of writing fable story texts. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan membaca, Menulis, Teks Cerita Fabel
