Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1) describe the structure of drama texts Kau Tunggu Siapa Nilo Wisran Hadi work, (2) describe the symbols of the elements of literature contained in the text of the drama Kau Tunggu Siapa Nilo Wisran Hadi work, and (3) describe meaning of the symbols contained in the text of the drama Kau Tunggu Siapa Nilo Wisran Hadi work. The method used in analyzing the data are: (1) read and understand the contents of the text of the play in detail, (2) identify the structure of the text contained in the text, (3) inventarisation symbols contained in the text, (4) summarizes the symbols (symbol) and the meaning of the text contained in the drama. Based on data analysis, the conclusion that Drama Kau Tunggu Siapa Nilo Wisran Hadi works have text structure: (1) character, (2) events, (3) conflict, (4) flow, (5) and the background. There are some symbols found in Drama Kau Tunggu Siapa Nilo Wisran Hadi works with words and sentence structures that, if strung together would be similar to the shape of the structure of poetry. Symbols which are capable of clarifying the meaning of the text after the analysis using the approach that is research semiotik. Temuan symbols contained in the text of the drama.

Abstract

This research have purpose to describe and analyze the value of character education that contained in Malaikat-malaikat penolong’s novel by Abdullah Khiaratullah, which consist of : (1) the value of honest, (2) tolerance, (3) hard work, (4) creative, (5) curiosity, (6) friendly/ communicative, (7) love peace, (8) social care,and (9) responsibility. The method that used for collecting the data are reading and understanding the novel carefully. After that, take note and mark the parts of story that indicates the value of character education. The method that used in analyzing the data are (1) inventory the value of education into the data research, (2) clasify according to the problems that researched, (3) analyze the data, (4) making the conclusion, and (5) make the report of findings.

Abstract

This paper aims at describing the reflection of social reality of Minangkabau Society in the short story entitled “Si Padang” written by Harris Effendi Thahar. The theory used in this study is the sociology of literature by using the mimetic approach. The analysis begins from the text by explaining the social factors in the text, then examining the social factors in the society that become the topic of the story. The result of the analysis shows that the short story “Si Padang”is the short story that is able to describe the social reality of Minangkabau society at present that is the inharmonious relation between maternal uncle and his nephew. As the reflection of the Minangkabau social reality this short story is social justification of Hoggart’s opinion that states the literary work at all level is enlightened by the prescript values and applied values. Because of that what Harris has written shows that his work is truly integrated with the individual and society life in the structure of the society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi bentuk ideologi wanita Minangkabau yang terefleksi dalam novel Negeri Perempuan karya Wisran Hadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan berlandaskan teori-teori ideologi dan dekonstruksi. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode hermeneutika. Metode hermeneutika memanfaatkan cara-cara penafsiran dengan menyajikannya dalam bentuk analisis deskriptif. Metode deskriptif analitis bertujuan untuk membuat deskripsi, gambaran, atau uraian secara sistematis faktual dan aktual mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat, serta hubungan antarfenomena yang dikaji. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan bahwa ada dua bentuk ideologi yang terefleksi dalam novel ini, yakni ideologi sosial dan ideologi politik. Ideologi sosial yang menonjol adalah ideologi feodal dan neofeodal. Ideologi feodal terefleksi pada tokoh perempuan pewaris kerajaan yang selalu berpandangan masalah warisan dan tata cara pengangkatan penghulu sesuai dengan aturan adat yang berlaku, sedangkan ideologi neofeodal yang didukung oleh tokoh perempuan istri pejabat dan saudara konglomerat yang berpandangan bahwa tata cara warisan dan tata cara pengangkatan penghulu itu bukanlah sesuatu yang sakral, tetapi amat fleksibel dan dapat dilakukan sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi kekinian. Ideologi politik yang terefleksi dalam novel ini mempunyai dua corak, yaitu ideologi politik yang berpretensi positif dan yang berpretensi negatif. Ideologi positif terlihat dari aktivitas keluarga pewaris kerajaan, sedangkan ideologi yang berpretensi negatif terefleksi dari aktivitas keluarga di luar pewaris kerajaan.

Abstract

Tujuan pelatihan menulis teks cerpen ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model picture and picture terhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Jenis kegiatam ini adalah pembinaan dan pelatihan yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dengan design  One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Jumlah populasi 247 peserta didik, sedangkan untuk pelatihan ini dipilih siswa kelas VII.6 SMP Negeri Nan Sabaris jumlah 30 peserta didik  yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Ada dua variable dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini, yaitu keterampilan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model picture and picture.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes unjuk kerja. Data kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah skor hasil tes keterampilan menulis teks cerpen  peserta didik  kelas VII SMP Negeri  2 Nan Sabaris sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model picture and picture.Ada tiga hasil yang ditemukan melalui kegiatan pelatihan ini, yaitu: (1) keterampilan menulis teks cerpenpeserta didik kelas VII.6 SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman sebelum menggunakan model picture and picture berada pada kualifikasi Cukup (C) dengan rata-rata 61,94; (2) keterampilan menulis teks cerpen peserta didik  siswa SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris sesudah menggunakan model picture and pictureberada pada kualifikasi Baik (B) dengan rata-rata 81,53; dan (3) keterampilan menulis teks cerpen  siswa  SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten  Padang Pariaman sesudah dilatih dengan menggunakan model picture and picturelebih baik daripada sebelum menggunakan model picture and picture. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan yang diberikan dengan menggunakan model picture and pictureterhadap keterampilan menulis teks cerpen peserta SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabarais Kabupaten Padang Pariaman karena nilai thitung>ttabel(7,10> 1,70). Maksudnya adalah keterampilan menulis teks peserta didik  SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten  Padang Pariaman sesudah dilakukan pelatihan dengan menggunakan model picture and picture  lebih baik dibandingkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen peserta didik   kelas VII.6  SMP Negeri 2 Nan Sabarais Kabupaten  Padang Pariaman sebelum menggunakan model picture and picture.Dengan demikian, model picture and picture dapat diterapkan dalam pembinaan dan pelatihan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the effectiveness of the use of ‘content area strategy’ in teaching creative writing. Based on the action performed in the class it was found that the content area strategy was able to enhance students’ ability in writing short stories. The effectiveness was recognized from the average scores achieved in writing short stories both in describing the content of the story and the element of the story, and in language use.. Abstract

This study aims at finding out the effectiveness of ICT based Student Centered Learning Approach based on ICT toward prose appreciation ability of students at Indonesian Department UNP. The population was 141 students classified into four classes at sixth semester at 2011/2012 academic year. By clustering random sampling, class C with 36 students was assigned as the experimental group, and class D with 36 students was assigned as the experimental group. The design of this study was controlled-group pretest to posttest to find out students’ prose appreciation ability. At the beginning of this study, both groups were normally distributed; indicated by the same variety and there is no significant difference in their abilities at prose appreciation. The finding of this study revealed that there was a difference of their abilities at prose appreciation. The calculation, tobs (7,5072) >ttable (2,0301) showed that students at experimental group, who used ICT based Student Centered Learning Approach, achieved the passing grades. While the control group with the calculation of tobs (-0,3241) <ttable (2,0301), the students could not achieve the passing grades. This means that ICT based Student Centered Learning Method effectively improves students’ ability at prose appreciation. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the portrait of adventure the novel that take place in the Children's Merapi Joko Susilo Bambang bouquet of. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods, technical content analysis. The data of this study is the portrait of a character in a novel of adventure Kid trim work Joko Susilo Bambang trace elements based characterizations. Based on the research results that the main character in search of adventure father destroyed by the eruption of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta. Adventures of main character portraits and adventure events that occurred when Father the search.
