Abstract

Today is an era of change in the use of information and communication technology in all aspects of human life. This adoption has also been accelerated by the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic which has also had an impact on the education sector, including Islamic boarding schools that adopt technology on a more massive basis. Islamic boarding schools are becoming more involved in taking on digital and technological contests. Asatidz as a teacher are required to have skills in the field of learning technology. Creating and designing teaching materials that are interesting and in demand by students is a challenge for asatidz. The solution to this problem is to provide training for asatidz on how to make interesting teaching materials using Microsoft Powerpoint and Canva. This community service was carried out in November 2022 face-to-face with a total of 41 participants who were assistants at the Darussalam Kunir Islamic Boarding School, Subang Regency, West Java. The results of the training showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test conducted by the participants. The conclusion is that this activity is perceived as useful by participants and can provide increased knowledge and skills in making presentations for asatidz.

Abstract

: Kelas Pintar is a technology-based educational solution designed to increase students' understanding of subject matter and aims to improve the quality of human resources with the best educational reference for a better nation. To achieve this goal, maximum performance is required by employees. Therefore, the authors conducted research with the hypothesis that there is a significant influence between discipline, competence, and workload on the performance of Kelas Pintar Startup employees. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence discipline, competence and workload have on the performance of Kelas Pintar Startup employees, both partially and simultaneously. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique used was proportionated stratified random sampling, where the sample was obtained by the portion of the population, namely 168 respondent. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square Technique (SEM-PLS). While the research analysis uses descriptive analysis, making path models, analyzing outer models, analyzing inner models, and testing hypotheses. The results of the study prove that the path coefficient (original sample) for discipline (X1) is 0.440 or 44%, competence is 0.344 or 34.4% and workload is 0.208 or 20.8%. So it can be interpreted that the variables of discipline, competence and workload have a significant positive effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Workplace incivility such as rudeness, exclusion, and disrespect is a growing issue, especially among Generation Z employees who are prone to stress and mental health issues. Incivility has negative consequences, including decreased productivity and increased absenteeism. This study examines the effects of job demands and social support on workplace incivility, with job stress as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative descriptive-causal research design, data were collected from 190 Generation Z employees through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The results showed that job demands had a significant positive effect on job stress, which in turn increased incivility. Conversely, social support was able to reduce job stress and incivil behavior. Job stress was shown to mediate the relationship between the independent variables (job demands and social support) and workplace incivility. These findings emphasize the importance of creating a supportive work environment and effective workload management to reduce incivil behavior and improve employee well-being, especially among younger generations.
