Abstract

Examination of the leukocyte count is a routine examination to assess the condition of the immune system and inflammation levels in the body. There are two types of examinations to count blood cells, one of which is leukocytes, using manual and automatic methods. Manual examination was carried out by thinning the blood using Turk's reagent. Under certain conditions, Turk reagents are often not available. This study aimed to determine the number of leukocytes with modified lime juice (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) and vinegar as an alternative to the composition of the Turk solution. This experimental study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of three treatments and five replications. The samples in this study were 5 samples of venous blood from patients in the level three Dr. R. Soeharsono Hospital in Banjarmasin. This study used a simple random sampling. The treatment used in this study was to use Turk rule, lemon juice (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) with a concentration of 2%, and vinegar with a concentration of 5%. The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the value of the leukocyte count between the Turk solution (control) and the modified treatment of 2% lime juice and 5% vinegar. Based on these results, it can be concluded that 2% lime juice and 5% vinegar can be used as an alternative to Turk's solution.

Abstract

Hypertension is still a major problem in the world. According to the WHO, hypertension is the number 1 cause of death in the world. The prevalence of people with hypertension in Indonesia reaches 31,7%, while prevalence of people with hypertension in South Borneo reaches 39,6% and in the District of Hulu Sungai Selatan as much as 12.99% . The high hypertension patients in the district Hulu Sungai Selatan due to an unhealthy lifestyle is also encouraged by the consumption pattern of local people, such as food named Ketupat Kandangan, with the sauce or marinade containing moderately high cholesterol. This study aims to determine the pattern of sodium and fat consumption as a factor in the occurrence of hypertension in health care center Kandangan District of Hulu Sungai Selatan. This study uses observations with case control design. The study sample group of 84 respondents, 42 respondents with hypertension (cases) and 42 respondents did not suffer from hypertension (control). Results of statistical tests using chi-square shows, the pattern of consumption of sodium obtained p = 0,000 and fat consumption patterns obtained value of p = 0.016 which means that there is a relationship of sodium and fat consumption patterns with the occurrence of hypertension.

Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic and acute inflammation. The common of serious complications in SLE is lupus nephritis.. Biomarker that showed high specificity for SLE especially in lupus nephritis is Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein urine-1 (uMCP-1). In Indonesia, correlation between uMCP-1 with lupus nephritis still unknown. This approach is expected to replace renal biopsy in histopathological classification of lupus nephritis. This study is an observational that was conducted in cross-sectional study. The research will be conducted over a 11-month with urine sampling to determine levels of MCP-1 in patients with SLE, and renal biopsy was performed to determine the class of lupus nephritis according to WHO (1982) classification. The results showed no significant difference (p = 0,247>α) between mean rank levels of urinary uMCP-1of control and cases group. In the Kruskal-Wallis test demonstrated the comparison of mean rank urine MCP-1 levels among 3 groups are no significant difference (p = 0,197>α). It can be concluded that the levels of urinary MCP1 was not associated with incidence and histopathological classification of lupus nephritis.

Abstract

The waist-to-hip circumference ratio is an anthropometric method to describe the distribution of fat in the body, especially in the areas of subcutaneous and abdominal fatty tissue. Fat cells located in the abdominal wall has a larger size that is dominated by low-density lipoprotein which is often a major factor in cardiovascular disease. To determine the correlation between waist to hip circumference ratio with low density lipoprotein levels in heart disease patients with heart polyclinic Brigjend H. Hasan Basry Kandangan Hospital. This study was an observational analytic study with the hypotheses associative method using cross sectional design. The number of respondents as many as 78 research samples using accidental sampling technique that met study inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were analyzed using Spearman's correlation test. The results showed that of 78 respondents there were 14 respondents who have pelvic ideal ratio of waist circumference and 64 who have a waist circumference ratio is not ideal. Of the 78 respondents which had normal levels of low density lipoprotein amounted to 32 respondents, is rather high as 21 respondents, and as of 25 respondents. This research shows there is a significant correlation with the weak force between waist to hip ratio with levels of low density lipoprotein respondents, r = 0,320, p = 0,004. Abstract

Anemia is a condition in which the levels of hemoglobin in the blood is lower than normal according to the threshold values of age and sex. Banjar District Health Office, in January of 2013 doing examination of hemoglobin levels for the second time, from a total of 81 adolescent girls are 22 or 35,8% were affected by anemia and 59 adolescent girls or 64,2% were not anemic. Before examination, adolescent girls given iron suplemen tablet, so many adolescent girls that not anemic. Adolescent girls are prospective students who are candidates for future leaders, prospective workers who will be the backbone of national productivity, as well as the prospective mother will give birth to the next generation and the key to the future care of the child. This study aims to find the relationship of consumption pattern iron and consumption of iron supplements tablet with anemia status at class VIII MTs Negeri Model Martapura working in the District Banjar Health Department. This research uses the analytical method with cross sectional design and was conducted on 81 respondents who had examined levels of hemoglobin by the District Health Office Banjar. Based upon the results of the statistical test using the chi-square indicates that the pattern of consumption of iron obtained p value = 0.04 and consumption of iron supplement tablet obtained p value = 0.00. Its means the relationship between consumption patterns and consumption of iron supplements tablet with anemia status at class VIII MT school girl model work area Martapura in Banjar District Health Department is significant.

Abstract

Chicken and the heart banana is a resource with the possibility of producing a new food products that rich in proteins contained from chicken meat and crude fiber contained in the heart of the banana favorable economic value and high, because the consumption of plant fibers directly even less attractive company. This study aims to analyze the influence of the proportion of the chicken (Gallus gallus) and banana (Musa paradisiaca) on the content of protein, crude fiber, the water and acceptability of shredded. This study was experimental with randomized design. This study used four treatments and three times replication for analyze content of protein, fiber, and 2 times replication for the water content. Test methods for acceptability were hedonic organoleptic method (hedonic test). Method for analyze protein contents was Kjedahl, while crude fiber and the water content was the gravimetric method, statistical tests for acceptability using Friedman test. Data content of protein, crude fiber, and water content is one way ANOVA. Search results obtained any influence between the proportion of chicken and bananas in the protein shredded (p = 0.049) in the treatment p0 (43.05%) and p3 (30.45%), crude fiber content (p = 0.007) in the treatment p0 (6.66%), p3 and (13.72%) and water levels p = 0.000 for treatment p0 (5.82%) and p3 (30.85%). There is influence of color acceptability p = 0.001 in p0 treatment: 3,08 and 72% p3, there is no effect on the treatment p0 p1 p2 and p3 aroma (p = 0.188) , texture (p = 0.501), and taste (p = 0.138) shredded. Referring to the ISO standard on quality required of proteins are already qualified, while the crude fiber and the water do not meet the quality requirements.

Abstract

Data of Riskesdas 2013, prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is 37,1%. Based on a preliminary survey of Banjar health districts in 2014, Mean of prevalence anemia in pregnant women from 23 health center are 10.82%. And the highest is in the Sambung Makmur health center is 28.06%. This research aims to know the correlation of the pattern consumption of iron and consume Fe tablets compliance with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Sambung Makmur health center 2015. This research used analytic survey with cross sectional approach. This research conducted on 43 pregnant women respondents. Based on statistic test on multiple variables by using the chi-square show that iron consumption the pattern p value = 0.003 and compliance to consume Fe tablets p value = 0.001 that means there is a significant correlation between consumption patterns and compliance to consume Fe tablets with anemia. Suggested to the health centers to provide counseling about the consumption the both iron and tablets Fe to avoid the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.

Abstract

Pendahuluan; hipertensi masih menjadi masalah utama di dunia, termasuk Indonesia.  Berdasarkan data prevalensi dari Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013 penyakit hipertensi di Indonesia sebesar 25,8% dan meningkat pada tahun 2018 menjadi 34,1% dengan urutan tertinggi yaitu di Kalimantan Selatan (44,1%). Hipertensi membuka peluang 12 kali lebih besar bagi penderitanya untuk menderita stroke dan 6 kali lebih besar untuk serangan jantung.  Tujuan; menganalisis faktor yang paling berperan dalam kejadian hipertensi khususnya pada lansia. Bahan dan Metode; jenis penelitian yang digunakan survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Cempaka Kelurahan Cempaka Kota Banjarbaru. Sampel penelitian ini adalah lansia berumur ≥ 45 tahun dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah 83 sampel. Hasil; penelitian diperoleh bahwa kebiasaan olahraga terbukti memiliki hubungan terhadap kejadian hipertensi dengan nilai p (0,003), kebiasaan istirahat terbukti memiliki hubungan dengan hipertensi dengan nilai p (0,035), konsumsi lemak terbukti memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian hipertensi dengan nilai p (0,008), konsumsi natrium terbukti memiliki hubungan dengan hipertensi dengan nilai p (0,044) dan tingkat stres terbukti memiliki hubungan dengan kejadian hipertensi dengan nilai p (0,004).  Berdasarkan hasil uji multivariate didapatkan bahwa tingkat stres adalah variabel yang paling berhubungan dengan hipertensi, dengan nilai p = 0,033    (p 0,05), lansia yang mengalami stres mempunyai peluang 3,895 kali beresiko mengalami hipertensi Kesimpulan; diperoleh bahwa tingkat stres merupakan faktor yang paling berhubungan dengan hipertensi.  Para lansia diharapkan dapat mengisi waktu dengan olahraga, rekreasi, menjalin komunikasi dan meningkatkan aspek spiritual guna mengurangi tingkat stress.

Abstract

Bakso merupakan salah satu produk olahan daging sapi dan ayam yang dibentuk seperti bola. Penelitian ini menggunakan ikan gabus yang mengandung protein 25.2 gram/100 gram dan zat besi 9 mg/100 gram serta daging sapi yang mengandung protein 18.88 gram/100 gram dan zat besi 2.8 mg/100 gram. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perbedaan kandungan protein, zat besi dan daya terima pada pembuatan bakso ikan gabus dan daging sapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Penelitian ini terdiri atas 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali replikasi dengan proporsi ikan gabus dan daging sapi 60%:40%, 50%:50%, 40%:60%. Kadar protein diuji dengan metode kjeldhal, sedangkan kadar zat besi dengan metode ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma). Analisis data kadar protein dan zat besi menggunakan one way anova, sedangkan untuk mutu organoleptik menggunakan analisis friedman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata uji kadar protein dan zat besi tertinggi pada proporsi  ikan gabus dan daging sapi (60%:40%) yaitu 55.65% dan 48.50 ppm dengan hasil uji statistik masing-masing yaitu p=0.000 dan p=0,001 dengan α=0.05, yang artinya ada perbedaan kandungan protein dan zat besi bakso dengan proporsi ikan gabus dan daging sapi yang berbeda. Pada uji daya terima yang meliputi warna, tekstur dan rasa memiliki nilai tertinggi pada proporsi ikan gabus dan daging sapi (60%:40%), sedangkan daya terima aroma memiliki nilai tertinggi pada proporsi ikan gabus dan daging sapi (40%:60%). Hasil uji statistik friedman menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan mutu organoleptik pada pembuatan bakso ikan gabus dan daging sapi. Kata kunci: protein, zat besi, daya terima, ikan gabus, daging sapi
