Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop Spinning wheel media to teach narrative text writing skills. Based on the results of interviews with English teachers and students who are lacking in writing. Researchers used the Borg and Gall R&D model in Sugiono's book, researchers only used 7 of the 10 steps of Borg and Gall, namely: Potential and Problems, Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Product Trial and Product Revision.The purpose of this research is to develop the use of spinning wheel game learning media in the teaching and learning proces  students who need the ability to write English, and the differencess with the previous researcher are the purpose of the study. This research was conducted in SMK Hidayatul Mubtadiin Kanigoro at Tenth Grade which had 27 students, 13 famales  14 male. The study was successful with a student satisfaction response rise of 87% which can be said to be Very Valid.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' reading speed and reading comprehension in class VIII narrative texts at MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari. This study presented the question, "Is there a significant relationship between the reading speed and reading comprehension of eighth grade MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari students?". A total of twenty eighth-grade MTsS Nurul Huda Banjarsari students constituted the population of this investigation. In this research, the researcher employs an explanatory design in this study, because because explanatory design is quantitative research in which investigators measure the degree of relation between two or more variables use the statistical procedure of correlation analysis. Here the research sample is the total sample or saturated sample. This research uses the descriptive method as a methodology. This research employs a test as its instrument, which measures reading speed and narrative text comprehension. As indicated by the r value of 0.74 and the significance level of 0.000, the correlation between students' reading speed and reading comprehension was found to be statistically significant. This value indicates a significant correlation between reading speed and comprehension.

Abstract

The research's objective is to describe the process of developing contextual-based student worksheets while at the same time knowing the results of developing contextual-based student worksheets for students. To achieve this goal, the type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). Data collection techniques in this study were validation questionnaires and student responses. Data were analyzed through the level of validity and practicality of student worksheets (LKS) using a predetermined formula. The results of this development have resulted in student worksheets being declared very valid by students’ worksheet and material design experts with an average value of 92%. Student satisfaction response questionnaire obtained by 90% can be said to be very practical. The conclusion of the study is that the use of student worksheets (LKS) can improve the vocabulary mastery of MI Al - Usman class VI Kedungkandang Malang students, especially in the ability to understand concrete learning
