Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan kompetensi dan wawasan baru kepada peserta didik melalui edukasi dan pendampingan dalam menggunakan internet secara sehat. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini terdiri dari 1) analisis situasi dengan melakukan deteksi dini terhadap peserta didik mengenai perilaku internet tidak sehat, 2) perencanaan program pengabdian yang menekankan pada edukasi dan pendampingan, 3) pelaksanaan pengabdian yang berbasi kegiatan proyek dan 4) evaluasi pengabdian dengan melakukan refleksi bersama. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peserta didik mendapatkan penguatan kompetensi berupa pengetahuan, keterampilan dan perilaku mengenai internet sehat dan dampak-dampak yang ditimbulkan dalam penggunaan internet. Kemudian pihak sekolah dalam hal ini kepala sekolah dan dewan guru berkomitmen bersama pelajar menjadikan lingkungan sekolah sebagai lingkungan yang ramah, sehat dan bertanggung jawab dalam penggunaan internet.

Abstract

Prokastinasi akademik yang terjadi di kalangan siswa SMA mengalami peningkatan seiring berlalunya pandemic Covid-19 dan meningkatnya perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial. Siswa lebih memilih menunda mengerjakan tugas dan mengalami kejenuhan dalam kegiatan belajar. Prokastinasi akademik menjadi masalah yang harus segera ditangani di sekolah, karena berdampak pada prestasi akademik siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK) dalam melaksanakan konseling dengan pendekatan Suryomentaram, sehingga dapat  meningkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan konseling yang dilakukan Guru BK dalam membantu menyelesaikan masalah prokastinasi akademik siswa. Metode belajar melalui tindakan (learning by doing) menjadi alternatif yang akan membantu guru BK dalam mengembangkan keterampilan konseling dengan pendekatan Suryomentaram melalui penyampaian informasi dan implementasi konseling pada siswa yang mengalami prokastinasi akademik. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah peningkatan pengetahuan guru BK dan peningkatan keterampilan guru BK di SMA dan SMK dalam melaksanakan proses konseling dengan menggunakan pandangan Suryomentaram dalam mengatasi prokastinasi akademik siswa. Kata kunci—Konseling Suryomentaram, Guru Bimbingan Konseling, Pendampingan Guru Abstract Academic procrastination that occurs among high school students has increased along with the passing of the Covid-19 pandemic and the increasing development of technology and social media. Students prefer to postpone doing assignments and experience boredom in learning activities. Academic procastination is a problem that must be addressed immediately in schools, because it has an impact on students’ academic achievement. The aim of the service activity is to increase the competency of Counseling Guidance (BK) teachers in carrying out counseling using the Suryomentaram approach, so that they can improve the quality of counseling carried out by BK teachers in helping to solve students’ academic procrastination problems. The learning by doing method is an alternative that will help guidance and counseling teachers in developing counseling skills using the Suryomentaram approach through conveying information and implementing counseling for students who experience academic procrastination. The results of the implementation of the service are an increase in the knowledge of guidance and counseling teachers and an increase in the skills of guidance and counseling teachers in high schools and vocational schools in carrying out the counseling process using Suryomentaram’s views in overcoming students' academic procrastination. Keywords—Suryomentaram Counseling, Teacher Guidance Counseling, Teacher Mentoring

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dari pengembangan media aplikasi identifikasi multiple intelligence by Howard Gardner dalam penentuan putusan karir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini, model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, dan Product). Model evaluasi CIPP dipilih karena aspek yang ditinjau dalam model penelitian ini dianggap lebih komprehensif dibandingkan dengan model evaluasi lainnya. Terdapat empat aspek evaluasi dalam model CIPP, yaitu evaluasi context yang meliputi latar belakang pembuatan media, evaluasi input yang meliputi sarana/ bahan/ sumber daya yang mendukung fungsi dari pengemangan media yang digunakan, evaluasi process yaitu evalusi penggunaan media, dan evaluasi product yaitu evaluasi hasil dari produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada evaluasi pengembangan media identitfikasi tipe kecerdasan individu by Howard Gardner dengan berbasis aplikasi android. Dengan adanya evaluasi media tersebut diharapkan pengembangan aplikasi nantinya dapat berkembang lebih baik dan memiliki kebermanfaatan yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a guideline for the social care educational game for the elementary school students which meet the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity and attractiveness. This was a research and development study adapted from Borg & Gall model by the data analysis technique using Wilcoxon. This study employed purposive sampling technique. The result of this study found that the guideline of social care educational game met the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity, and attractiveness for Elementary school students.

Abstract

Universities aim to achieve intelligent education through innovative learning methods. Students desire models to develop their skills, and this can be achieved through peer modelling with their peers. This research aims to develop a peer modelling-based digital module to enhance students' understanding of the Personality Development Practicum course, as an effort to improve the ideal personal qualities of prospective counselors. The research design uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study are material experts (guidance and counseling lecturers), media experts (learning technology lecturers), and potential users (guidance and counseling students). The results show that the digital module is equipped with video explanations, PowerPoint, infographics, motion graphics, and peer modelling videos. Based on the validation results by material experts, media experts, and potential users, the digital module is considered valid in terms of accuracy, usefulness, attractiveness, and ease of use. Further empirical evidence is needed to support the use of the peer modelling-based digital module in developing the ideal personal qualities of prospective counselors.

Abstract

The symptoms of smartphone addiction have been extensively observed in adolescent students. This study aims to investigate the effects of smartphone addiction on students’ communication with their families, their learning, as well as guidance and counseling processes. The causal correlational design was applied, involving 103 participants selected total samplings of eighth-graders junior high school students. The data was garnered through the smartphone addiction scale and family communication scale. Both of those scales had item validity of 0.3, with Alpha Cronbach reliability of 0.937 and 0.850, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed using regression. The analysis results suggest that smartphone addiction significantly decreased the quality of students’ communication with their families, by -0,416. This result can be fundamental for school counselors and the subject teachers in formulating and implementing the learning process, to reduce the effects of smartphone addiction, enhance their communication skills, and improve the learning efficiency through the use of the smartphone as learning media, instead of restraining the smartphone use.

Abstract

Self-acceptance is an aspect that is needed by students, especially in self-actualization. This study aims to produce a product in the form of an individual cognitive behaviour counseling guide for cognitive restructuring techniques to increase the self-acceptance of students at state vocational high schools who meet the acceptance criteria, which include usability, accuracy, convenience, and attractiveness. The research was conducted using the Research and Development approach developed by Borg and Gall. The subjects in this study were two Guidance and Counseling lecturers as material expert tests, two Education Technology study program lecturers as media experts, and two school counselors as potential users. The results of the validation data for material experts, media experts, and potential users were analyzed using an inter-rater agreement. Based on the results of validation data analysis, this guide obtains a rater agreement index of 1.00 from each validation of material experts, media experts, and potential users. The results of the guide validation analysis entered the very high rater agreement category. It can be concluded that the development of individual cognitive behaviour counseling guidelines for cognitive restructuring techniques to increase student self-acceptance has fulfilled the product acceptance criteria, which include four aspects, namely aspects of usability, accuracy, convenience, and attractiveness, and this guide is very feasible to use.

Abstract

Body image is a form of individual perception or assessment of body condition including body size and shape. The student's body image shows a position in the negative range. The behavior shown includes students being embarrassed if they leave the house without wearing a mask, embarrassed if they talk about acne, feeling dissatisfied with their less than ideal body shape and height. The research aims to test the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring technique group counseling in improving high school students' negative to positive body image. One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, and 5 students were obtained who had a negative body image category. Data collection uses a body image scale. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The analysis results show a sig value. = 0.042 in the research subject, which indicates that the probability is smaller than the significance value α = 0.05, thus it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that cognitive behavior group counseling with the Cognitive Restructuring technique is effective in increasing students' positive body image.

Abstract

Students must be aware of academic burnout, as it can reduce their learning achievement. This study aims to develop a stress management guidebook to prevent academic burnout in vocational high school students. This guidebook can be used by counselors as a reference in providing guidance services to vocational students who have problems related to academic burnout. This manual is equipped with an academic burnout scale to measure the level of student academic burnout. The development model in this study used the Borg and Gall development research design. In this study, we used five stages, consisting of pre-survey, product design, design validation, product testing, and final product preparation. The research instruments were material expert assessment instruments, media expert assessment instruments, and assessment instruments for prospective product users. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive percentages and inter-rater agreement. The results of the study indicated that the stress management guide meets the acceptability criteria, so it is appropriate to be used as a medium for counselors to facilitate the development of students’ stress management to prevent academic burnout.
