ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the writing skills of exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describe the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on writing exposition text skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. The sample in this study was class VIII.2 with 29 students. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, exposition text writing skills before using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in almost adequate qualifications with an average value of 53.45. Second, the skill of writing exposition text after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang is in a qualification of more than enough with an average score of 70.11. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 4.79> 1.70. This means that there is a significant influence on the use of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on the exposition writing skills of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang.Â Kata kunci: Pengaruh, Discovery Learning, Keterampilan Menulis Teks EksposisiÂ

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe the critical reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Second, it describes the writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Thirdly, analysing the contribution of the reading skills of critical writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Type of this research is a descriptive method quantitative research. The design of research i.e. research korelasional. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan 2018/2019 school year with a total of 50 people scattered in two classes. A sample of these studies amounted to 50 people. Sampling techniques in the study are the total sampling. Variables this research is critical reading skills as free variables (X) and writing skills text exposition as a variable (Y). The instruments used in this research is an objective test for critical reading skills and test performance for writing skills text Exposition. The results of the research there are three, as follows. First, critical reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 57.08 is under the KKM (75). Second, the skills of writing a text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 59.67 is under the KKM (75). Third, there is a positive and significant contribution between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan at significant level 95% and the degrees of freedom (dk) = n-1 because thitung > ttabel IE 3.03 > 1.68.Â Based on the results of this study it was concluded that there is a linear relationship between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan with a confidence level of 95%. In other words, if the student's critical reading skills are good, then the exposition text writing skills students are also good. In contrast, when bad Exposition text skills, then writing skills students also bad Exposition text.Â Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Membaca Kritis, Menulis Teks Eksposisi

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is to describe 1) short story writing skill of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah high school without using serial pictures media, 2) describe short story writing skill of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah high school by using serial pictures media, 3) describe the influence of using serial pictures media toward the level of short story writing skills of tenth grader in Padang Adabiah High School. The type of this research is quantitative research done using quasi experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) short story writing skills of the tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School without using serial pictures media were in more than enough qualifying with the average score of 67,78. (2) short story writing skills of the tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School by using serial pictures media were in a good qualifying with the average score of 76.55. (3) based on the t-test at the level of 0.05 obtained thitung > ttabel (5,54> 1,70). Thus, it can be said that H1 is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using serial pictures media toward the short story writing skills of tenth graders in Padang Adabiah Senior High School.Kata kunci : pengaruh, media gambar berseri, and cerita pendek

This research is purposedly done to describe the role and position of Bundo Kanduang contained in the novel Negeri Perempuan Wisran Hadi. This type of research is qualitative research with use hermeneutic method. Based on the data analysis, five roles and five forms of Bundo Kanduang position were found in Wisran Hadi's NegeriPerempuan novel, (1) the guardian of the kinship order in Minangkabau, (2) the determinant of the implementation of traditional ceremonies, (3) the form of behavior, (4) voter in deliberation, and (5) a mother. Bundo Kanduang's invisible role is the role of a wife. Furthermore, the position of Bundo Kanduang which appears in the novel, namely (1) limpapeh rumah nan gadang, (2) amban puruak pagangan kunci, (3) pusek jalo kumpulan tali, (4) sumarak dalam nagari, and (5) nan gadang basa batuah.Â `Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Kata kunci: Bundo Kanduang, hermeneutika, kedudukan, peran

ABSTRACTÂ This article is written to determine the effect TTW discovery techniques learning model based on the skills of writing text LHO of the students class X SMAN 7 Padang. Data of this study is the result of the test writing skills LHO text before and after treatment. Data collected by the performance test by providing employment to students in the form of LHO writing text test. LHO text writing skills before and after treatment compared to see the effect of model-based techniques TTW discovery learning by using t-test formula. ABSTRACTÂ This research is aimed to describe the influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The results of this study there was significant influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman at significant level 95% with degrees of freedomÂ (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,70<9,19). ABSTRACTÂ This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading Â skill of fable story text to the skills of producing fable story texts at Â students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang. This research is quantitative research using the descriptive method and the contribution research design. The research data is the test result score of appreciative reading Â skill of fable story text and the test result score of reproducing fable story text. The data has obtained through two types of test that are the objective test which uses reproducing fable story text . Based on the result of data analysis and the discussion, the researcher concludes the three things follow; first, the average score of the studentâ€™ reading appreciative reading Â skill of fable story text at students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of the studentâ€™ reproducing fable story text students at VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (79,17). ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast. Second, it describes the writing skills text beritasiswa class VIII MTS. n. 2 SelatanKetiga Coast, describing the correlation field environmental vocabulary mastery with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used is a korelasional design. Population research is grade VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast that are listed in the 2018/2019, i.e., 223 students. The research sample is determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 45 pupils. The results of the research there are three. First, mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average value of 78.81. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average of 79.54. Third, there is a correlation of mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast on a 95% confidence level with n-1 degrees of freedom. the value of thitung > ttabel (5.01 > 1.62).Â Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata Bidang Lingkungan Hidup, Menulis Teks Berita

Â This research is purpose to describe the influencing of using copy the master technic for writing explanation text ability for students class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Padang. The kind of this research is quantitative. The research uses experiment method which emphasizes on semu design experiment for one group pretest posttest design. There are three result on the research are (1) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing explanation text before using copy the master technic at SMP Negeri 15 Padang is low and grades LdC with average 65,97, (2) the studentsâ€™ ability in writing explanation text after using copy the master technic at SMP Negeri 15 Padang is high and grades BS with average 85,97, and (3) the significant influenced from using copy the master technic writing explanation text ability for students class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Padang.
