Abstract

The problem of this research is how is the study of eco-criticism in the novel Because of Your Grace that I Miss by Emy Agustini Sulaiman. The purpose of this study is to describe eco-critical studies in the novel Due to Your Grace that Kurindu by Emy Agustini Sulaiman which focuses on the study of respect for nature, the study of attitudes of moral responsibility towards nature, the study of solidarity with nature, the study of compassion and care for nature and study the attitude of not disturbing natural life. The research method used in this method is descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data and the object of this research is the novel Due to Your Grace that I Miss by Emy Agustini Sulaiman. The data collection technique in this research is the documentation technique. Researchers use triangulation techniques in the process of validating data in research. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis. The results of the analysis obtained are in the form of first there are as many as 10 citations which contain a study of respect for nature, secondly there are 9 citations which contain a study of the attitude of moral responsibility towards nature, thirdly there are 6 citations analyzing the attitude of solidarity towards nature, fourth there are 7 citations which contains a study of attitudes of compassion and concern for nature, the fifth as many as 10 citations which contain a study of attitudes not to disturb natural life. It is hoped that the results of this research can later be used as a means to develop the ability to respect nature and examine the meaning of every existence of natural life. The results of this research should be used by students as a source of knowledge to increase understanding of the environment and eco-critical studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the signs and meanings of icons, index, and symbols in the novel Antares by Rweinda in terms of semiotic studies. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data collection technique used documentation, and the validity of the data was carried out by triangulation techniques and the data were analyzed by content analysis techniques. The results showed that the signs and meanings in the novel Antares by Rweinda with a semiotic approach found as many as 231 quotations in the form of aspects of icon signs, indexes and symbols which are divided into several classifications of forms. There are 74 quote icons, namely (1) social marker icons with 13 quotes, (2) topology icons with 12 quotes, (3) metaphor icons with 27 quotes, and (4) onomotope icons with 22 quotes. Then found an index of 59 citations in the form of (1) behavior index with 36 citations, (2) performance index with 16 citations, (3) occupation index with 2 citations and, (4) lifestyle index with 5 citations. Then found as many as 98 symbols, namely (1) personal symbols totaling 62 quotes, (2) agreement symbols totaling 30 quotes and, (3) universal symbols totaling 6 quotes. Signs and meanings that were found the most were marks on personal symbols from 62 quotes. While the least found are index marks in the form of a job index as many as 2 citations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the religious and moral educational values in the novel Ta'aruf Dalam Sunyi (A Sociological Review of Literature). This is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data analysis technique uses content analysis with the research object of the novel Ta'aruf Dalam Sunyi by Diana Fitria. Data collection techniques using library research. The data validation technique uses technical triangulation. The results of the study show that the total religious educational values and moral educational values in the novel with the total 41. In the form of religious educational values totalling 19 data points consisting of the value of human relations with God and human relations with other human beings. The moral educational values total 22 data points, consisting of honest values, the values of determination and commitment, the values of cooperation, and the values of responsibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan metode mind mapping agar keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks persuasif meningkat. Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah sejumlah besar siswa belum berhasil mencapai (KKM 75) dalam menulis teks persuasif dikarenakan kesulitan dalam mencari ide ide dan gairah menulis. Metode yang digunakan guru belum dapat mengembangkan gagasan dan gairah menulis bahkan cenderung membosankan. Melalui metode mind mapping diharapkan keterampilan menulis, keaktifan dan motivasi siswa meningkat. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan melalui tiga siklus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi guru, siswa, dan pemberian penilaian. Data diinventarisasi, di analisis, dikategorisasikan dan diinterpretasikan. Pada siklus satu hasil pengamatan terhadap guru didapat skor 69 meningkat menjadi 80 dan lebih meningkat lagi pada siklus tiga dengan skor 90, sedangkan pengamatan terhadap siswa siklus satu dari 28 siswa ada 11 orang yang aktif (39%) meningkat menjadi 23 orang (82%) pada siklus tiga menjadi 28 orang (100%). Hasil tes siswa secara klasikal pada siklus satu didapat rata rata nilai 72 meningkat menjadi 75 lebih meningkat lagi menjadi 84. Dari data yang didapat hasil pengamatan terhadap guru, siswa dan tes melalui metode mind mapping hasil belajar, motivasi, keaktifan, dalam kegiatan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis meningkat dan berhasil. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan stilistika khususnya majas  dan citraan pada antologi puisi Kita Adalah Sekumpulan Patah Hati yang Memilih Matahari karya Astri Apriyani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deksriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan catat. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu puisi yang terdapat dalam buku antologi puisi Kita Adalah Sekumpulan Patah Hati yang Memilih Matahari karya Astri Apriyani. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan hasil analisis yang didapatkan oleh peneliti yaitu berupa gaya bahasa berjumlah 19 dengan pengertian dan kegunaanya yaitu simile, metafora, personifikasi, alegori, metonimi, sinekdoki, repetisi, paralelisme, anafora, polisidenton, asidenton, asonansi, hiperbola, litotes, paradoks, ironi, antitesis, klimaks dan anti klimaks. Selanjutnya berkaitan dengan citraan bahwa terdapat 5 jenis citraan yaitu citraan penglihatan, pendengaran, gerak, perabaan dan penciuman.

Abstract

The researcher conducted a study entitled factor analysis of language variations, with the aim of being able to describe the results of the factors of the occurrence of language variations in Dusun III Lais Utara, Kec. Lais, Kab. Musi Banyuasin. The research method used is qualitative analysis. Which is the focus point of the problem in this study, namely the factors that occur in language variations. The informants in this study were the people of Dusun III Lais Utara, Kec. Lais, Kab. Musi Banyuasin. The research was conducted in Dusun III Lais Utara, Kec. Lais, Kab. Musi Banyuasin. Data collection techniques used in research are observation, interviews, and recording techniques. So get the results of research by researchers. Researchers get research results, namely the occurrence of a language variation due to two social factors and situational factors. This social factor could be due to environmental factors in Dusun III Lais Utara, Kec. Lais, Kab. Muba. Meanwhile, situational factors consist of language and kinship situations. The results obtained in the language situation when carrying out formal activities, namely meetings, at that time the language situation uses formal language in accordance with the existing situation. In the kinship factor, the occurrence of language variations is because the speakers who speak with the interlocutor both understand the language, so a conversation can occur where the situation will become more intimate at that time the language situation used formal language in accordance with the existing situation. Abstract

Peserta didik adalah bagian dari komponen instansi sekolah tentu harus dibiasakan menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Terutama mengenai kata baku dan tidak baku. Kebiasaan peserta didik yang membenarkan bahasa daerah sehari-hari dicampuradukkan dengan bahasa gaul merupakan sebuah kekeliruan. Hal ini harus diluruskan. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif dipadukan dengan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif merupakan jenis penelitian dengan memberikan gambaran mengenai penggunaan kata baku dan tidak baku kepada peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 8-A SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalanbaru dengan jumlah 36 orang, namun yang mengisi kuisioner sebanyak 28 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peran keluarga, lingkungan sekitar, dan tentunya guru sebagai bagian dari instansi pendidikan sangat penting dalam mendorong penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia yang benar dan sesuai, terutama dalam hal pemahaman kata baku dan tidak baku.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui keefektifan dari strategi pembelajaran RAFT (Role, Audience, Format, Topic), mengetahui kemapuan dan keterampilan para siswa dalam menulis teks editorial tanpa menggunakan Strategi Pembelajaran RAFT (Role, Audience, Format, Topic) siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 2 Mesuji Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan nilai rata-rata yang didapat dari  Kelas Eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan strategi RAFT sebesar 79 lebih besar yang dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata Kelas Kontrol sebesar 61 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, jadi selisih nilai antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebesar 18. Artinya kemapuan siswa dalam menulis teks editorial  pada taraf dan tingkatan yang baik, yang disebabkan adanya keefektifan strategi pembelajaran RAFT. Berdasarkan hasil data perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh Thitung sebesar 2,05 dan dibandingkan dengan Ttabel dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 (5%) dengan dk 40, kemudian diperoleh harga dari Ttabel sebesar 2,021. Berarti didapat Thitung >Ttabel yaitu sebesar 2,05 > 2,021.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe several problems that exist in Indonesia, especially the quality of Indonesian education and teachers and how to overcome them. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, this research uses data collection techniques of participant observation, field notes, interviews, documentation studies. These problems are closely related to the qualitay of education and the competence of teachers, especially Indonesian language teachers. nother problem faced by Indonesian language teachers is the lack of training and continuing education. Many Indonesian language teachers do not have adequate training in the latest teaching methods. Relevant continuing education is very important to improve teacher competence.
