Abstract

The purpose of  This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, total population, and Foreign Direct Investment on environmental quality.  The type of data in this research is quantitative with the data source, namely secondary data, obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia. The Secondary data used is the Time Series 2017-2021 and Cross section of districts/cities in West Sumatra province, regarding environmental quality, especially air quality, economic growth, total population , and foreign direct investment.  Economic Growth does not have a significant effect on environmental quality variables. Population growth has a significant effect on environmental quality variables. Firen Direct investment does not have a significant effect on the quality of environmental quality.

Abstract

Tourism villages play an important role in tourism development. CHSE implementation will guarantee comfort and safety for tourists. This research uses a descriptive approach with surveys and FGDs to analyze the implementation of CHSE and also the economic impact of tourism on the community in Nagari Sungai Batang.The implementation of CHSE in the Nagari Sungai Batang tourist destination is starting to be seen. However, there are still various aspects of cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability that can still be improved. This assessment can be an independent assessment to become a precursor to obtaining CHSE certification in the future. The existence of tourism has had an impact on the community's economy, both in terms of community income, opening up employment opportunities related to tourism and providing supporting infrastructure. However, this is also not optimal. Various efforts are still needed so that the impact of the tourism sector in Nagari Sungai Batang can give significant results. The efforts that can be carried out include tourism promotion and also determining tariffs for existing tourist destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the driving, inhibiting and regulatory factors regarding green campuse implementation at universities in Indonesia. This study used a systematic literature review with PRISMA and VosViewer.  The results of this study show that there are various driving and inhibiting factors that influence the success of the green campus program in higher education institutions in Indonesia. The main driving factors include the existence of supportive regulations as well as the commitment from management and the academic community to implement environmentally friendly practices. Initiatives such as campaigns to reduce plastic use, recycling programs, and restrictions on the use of motor vehicles also contribute positively to achieving the goals of a green campus. However, challenges such as a lack of supportive leadership, resistance to change, and insufficient knowledge and understanding of sustainability pose significant obstacles. Therefore, to achieve effective implementation of the green campus, collaborative efforts from all parties are needed, including strengthening regulations, raising awareness, and better management support.

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Nagari Matua Hilia, Kecamatan Matur, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat, dengan fokus pada pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga melalui pengembangan teknik ecoprint sebagai peluang bisnis fashion ramah lingkungan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah ketergantungan ekonomi masyarakat pada sektor pertanian tradisional, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal untuk usaha kreatif. Mitra utama program adalah kelompok PKK Nagari Matua Hilia yang memiliki potensi namun menghadapi keterbatasan keterampilan dan akses pasar. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi dengan pemerintah nagari, pelatihan pembuatan dan pengembangan produk ecoprint, pelatihan pemasaran, pembentukan wadah usaha, serta pemilihan Duta Ecoprint untuk sosialisasi berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini mengintegrasikan pendekatan pelatihan, pendampingan, kolaborasi dengan dinas terkait, dan strategi pemasaran berbasis e-commerce, media sosial, serta pameran. Hasil yang dicapai pada tahap ini meliputi peningkatan keterampilan anggota PKK dalam produksi ecoprint, terbentuknya produk awal yang memiliki nilai seni dan ramah lingkungan, serta meningkatnya kesadaran akan peluang pasar lokal dan ekspor. Dampak program mencakup pemberdayaan perempuan, diversifikasi produk, peningkatan pendapatan, dan penguatan identitas budaya lokal. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan ecoprint berbasis sumber daya lokal dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk menggerakkan ekonomi kreatif pedesaan secara berkelanjutan, sekaligus mendukung pelestarian lingkungan dan pencapaian indikator kinerja perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This article presents a systematic literature review of plastic reduction campaigns in Indonesia, analyzing their strategies and impact across various sectors including government, civil society, private industry, and educational institutions. The study employs the PRISMA protocol and bibliometric analysis using Vosviewer for mapping the current research and identify effective communication approaches. Findings indicate that integrated campaigns—combining policy enforcement, public education, digital engagement, and participatory programs—are most effective in influencing behavior change. A case study conducted among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Negeri Padang reveals a significant gap between awareness and active participation, with only a small percentage of students fully engaged in anti-plastic initiatives. The study concludes that localized, behavior-based strategies supported by institutional policy and educational integration are essential to increase engagement and foster sustainable habits. This research contributes to the development of more adaptive and evidence-based communication models for addressing plastic pollution in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) through cross-subject projects in building students’ character at MAN 3 Tanah Datar. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach. The population comprised all teachers and students directly involved in P5 implementation. A total sampling technique was applied to teachers, while purposive sampling was used for students, resulting in 100 student respondents actively participating in P5 activities. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale to capture respondents’ perceptions of planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes of P5. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that P5 implementation at MAN 3 Tanah Datar has been generally well-executed across planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. P5 contributes positively to strengthening students’ independence, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and internalization of Pancasila values. However, variations in perceptions regarding the development of a positive school culture suggest the need for more consistent and sustainable implementation. Overall, the study highlights the potential of cross-subject P5 as an effective pedagogical approach for holistic character development and recommends strengthening stakeholder collaboration and continuity strategies for future practice.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the improvement of product photography knowledge and skills among craftsmen and partners of the Pinjaik Patah Embroidery Gallery, BUMNag Panampuang Saiyo, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, following product photography training for digital marketing purposes. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through direct interviews, observation, and documentation of product photographs before and after the training. The evaluation focused on three key aspects of product photography, namely lighting and contrast, background selection, and object arrangement and composition. Product photographs published on the gallery’s Instagram account were used as the primary evidence of skill development. The findings revealed improvements in participants’ understanding and application of product photography techniques. Post-training photographs demonstrated better lighting utilization, stronger visual contrast, more consistent background selection, and improved photo composition, resulting in more attractive and persuasive product presentations for digital marketing. Product photography training effectively enhanced the basic competencies of MSME craftsmen and partners, enabling them to produce higher-quality visual content and strengthen their digital marketing performance through social media platforms.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of digital skills, internship experience, and future time perspective on the work readiness of vocational school students at Padang State University. This study is a causal study using a quantitative approach, which examines the relationship between variables and the object being studied in terms of cause and effect or problems in the study. The population consists of all active vocational school students at UNP who are in their 6th semester or higher, totaling 537 individuals. The sampling technique was based on specific criteria, namely students in their 6th semester or higher who had completed an internship. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula, resulting in 100 respondents, distributed proportionally across each program of study. A questionnaire was used to collect information, which was then evaluated using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. According to the data, digital skills, internship experience, and future time perspective have a significant impact on students' work readiness. With an adjusted R-square value of 0.282, these three variables explain 28.2% of vocational school students' work readiness at UNP, with the remaining percentage influenced by other factors not covered in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to: develop EPUB-based teaching materials for social studies subjects, assess the feasibility of EPUB-based teaching materials for social sciences and creative economy topics, and evaluate the improvement in student learning outcomes after using the EPUB materials. The research employs a research and development (R&D) methodology, comprising five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The quality of the developed media was validated through expert judgment, while its effectiveness was evaluated through classroom application. The research subjects were students from two junior high schools. The implementation phase involved experimental and control groups at each school. Data were collected through student questionnaires to assess the practicality and effectiveness of the EPUB-based teaching materials. The results indicated that the media received high-quality ratings in terms of content, design, and programming, as evaluated by experts. Furthermore, both students and teachers considered the media to be highly practical and well-suited to meet the needs of students. An independent sample t-test conducted showed statistically significant differences in learning outcomes. The results indicate that students who used the EPUB-based media outperformed those who did not. In conclusion, the EPUB-based teaching materials are of high quality, practical, and effective, making them suitable for classroom implementation to enhance student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Climate change and the excessive exploitation of natural resources call for more responsible consumption patterns, particularly among university students. This study examines the influence of environmental awareness on green consumption behavior, both directly and through pro-environmental behavior as a mediating variable, among 381 students at Universitas Negeri Padang. The respondents were selected using proportional stratified random sampling, and the data were analyzed using a two-stage PLS-SEM approach. The results indicate that environmental awareness has a positive but relatively small direct effect on green consumption behavior (β = 0.140, p = 0.001), whereas its effect on pro-environmental behavior is substantially stronger (β = 0.526, p < 0.001). Furthermore, pro-environmental behavior is a strong predictor of green consumption behavior (β = 0.648, p < 0.001) and partially mediates the relationship between environmental awareness and green consumption behavior (indirect effect = 0.341; VAF =70.9%). These findings suggest that environmental awareness alone is insufficient to promote green consumption behavior unless it is translated into consistent proenvironmental practices. Therefore, universities should strengthen sustainability-oriented facilities and institutional policies to foster pro-environmental behavior and encourage sustainable consumption among students.
