Abstract

Ilmu berkaitan dengan upaya-upaya untuk memperoleh pemahaman secara sistematis terkait dengan alam, yang tidak hanya penguasaan kumpulan pengetahuan berupa fakta, konsep atau prinsip, tetapi juga proses penemuan. Ilmu merupakan rangkaian proses yang dibarengi dengan sikap ilmiah untuk mendapatkan suatu produk. Namun demikian, hingga saat ini siswa sebagai subjek pembelajaran menganggap pembelajaran IPA hanya menghafal rumus atau produk IPA semata. Padahal, siswa juga harus mampu mendeskripsikan proses dari mana produk IPA tersebut diperoleh. Oleh karena itu, IPA bukan sekadar hafalan. Fakta inilah yang menjadi landasan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa dalam mendeskripsikan fenomena ilmiah di sekitar lingkungan Karesidenan Besuki. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara pemberian tes dan angket di sekolah menengah di wilayah Besuki. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam mendeskripsikan fenomena IPA di sekitar lingkungan masih tergolong rendah. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran di setiap satuan pendidikan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan sebuah proses interaksi peserta didik dengan pendidik dan sumber belajar pada suatu lingkungan belajar, dimana pendidik memberikan bantuan kepada peserta didik agar dapat terjadi proses pemerolehan ilmu dan pengetahuan, penguasaan kemahiran dan tabiat, serta pembetukan sikap dan kepercayaan pada peserta didik. IPA adalah kumpulan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dengan metode yang sistematis (metode ilmiah), serta dengan menerapkan sikap ilmiah. Belajar IPA adalah cara ideal untuk mendapatkan kompetensi. Ketrampilan – ketrampilan Fisik,berpikir,sosial, matematika dan berbahasa, sikap – sikap maupun konsep satu dengan yang lainnya tidak dapat dipisahkan dan saling berkaitan. Pembelajaran terpadu merupakan suatu pendekatan dalam pembelajaran yang secara sengaja mengaitkan beberapa aspek baik dalam mata pelajaran maupun antar mata pelajaran. Standards for Science Teacher Preparation merekomendasikan agar guru IPA sekolah dasar dan menengah pertama harus memiliki kecenderungan interdisipliner pada IPA. Untuk merealisasikan pembelajaran IPA yang sesuai pada hakikat IPA salah satunya dengan pendekatan ketrampilan proses dan pendekatan ketrampilan terpadu proses IPA. Pembelajaran IPA disajikan berbasis pendekatan pemecahan dan langsung menempatkan salah satu ide pokok yang mengandung pemecahan masalah dalam penyajiannya, Pembelajaran disajikan dengan kesatuan konsep. Abstract

Pada pembelajaran IPA, siswa dituntut untuk memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis. Namun, tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi serta bahan ajar yang kurang inovatif. Dampaknya siswa menjadi pasif dan sukar dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, diperlukan bahan ajar yang dapat mencakup kebutuhan siswa dan menjadi wadah dalam menyalurkan keterampilannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-modul berbasis blended learning yang valid, praktif, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP. E-modul merupakan bahan ajar berbentuk elektronik yang tersusun atas multimedia yang dapat digunakan secara fleksibel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan desain pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan e-modul berbasis blended learning telah layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar berdasarkan hasil validasi, kepraktisan, keefektifan serta reliabilitas dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mengimplementasikan materi ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study purposed to develop an E-student worksheet on environmental pollution material to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. E-student worksheet is an electronic-based student worksheet that utilizes the internet in its application. E-student worksheets can create various kinds of content, both visual and audiovisual, to train and assist students in finding concepts through the learning process. The development research method used a 4-D model, but only three stages were carried out: defining, designing, and developing. This research was conducted on seventh-grade students at SMPIT Al Ghozali Jember. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, learning implementation sheets, critical thinking skills tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that the E-student worksheet had very valid criteria with a value of 94%. The implementation of learning showed very high criteria with a value of 92%. The effectiveness of learning had effective criteria with an average N-gain value of 0.70, and student responses had a good criterion, with a value of 77.3%. It can be concluded that the E-student worksheet on environmental pollution material could improve students' critical thinking skills in science learning in junior high school

Abstract

The learning model about Contextual Analysis of Science and Laboratory Problems (CANLABS) is a model that provides opportunities for students to choose several natural events around them that are relevant to the material which is being studied and then explore the phenomenon profoundly in the laboratory. This study aims to analyze the validity and practicality of the CANLABS learning model for science mastery for junior high school students. The trial results of the model development were carried out in the 7th grade of the former Besuki residency (Jember, Bondowoso, Situbondo, and Banyuwangi) with a total of 120 students. The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive sampling area. To measure the validity, use the model validity sheet carried out by experts through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Meanwhile, to measure practicality, an observation sheet on the implementation of the learning implementation plan was used by the observer. Based on the analysis, it was found that the content validation and construct validation respectively scored an average of 4.08 and 4.11 with the reliability of the model 96%. Meanwhile, the implementation of the learning implementation plan in preliminary activities, core activities, strengthening activities, closing, and classroom atmosphere with an average score of 3.39 is categorized as very good. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the CANLABS learning model meets the criteria of validity and practicality so that it is suitable in science learning for junior high school students.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan pengetahuan mengenai alam semesta dan fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di alam. Pada proses pembelajaran IPA dibutuhkan bahan ajar. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan adalah LKPD. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL). Populasi penelitian yakni siswa kelas VIII-C di MTSN 1 Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan yakni analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes hasil belajar kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni uji skor validitas, kepraktisan, N-gain dan uji skor angket respon siswa. Pada uji validitas diperoleh nilai 83% dengan krteria sangat baik. Pada uji keterlaksanaan didapatkan hasil 89% berkategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji N-gain didapatkan skor yakni 0,53 berkategori sedang. sedangkan pada uji angket respon siswa didapataan hasil yakni 82% dengan kategori sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS pada pembelajaran IPA SMP.

Abstract

Junior high school students find it difficult to understand the materials and the concepts in science learning because the teaching method that is too monotonous. It is the lecturing method where students are less involved in learning activities, and this has led to the decline in students’ learning outcomes in science learning. The use of media and learning models play an important role. The popular media in learning are modern media, in this case PhET application. This application can give the impression of a direct experiment among students without ignoring technological developments where IT is needed by students. This study aims to identify students' conceptions on concepts. The type of this research was a library research. This study used the VAK learning model (Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic). In the VAK learning model, the teacher can combine three teaching-learning styles. 1) The teacher will prioritize the demonstration or the media by showing the teaching tools directly to the students and describing them on the board. 2) In learning by listening, the teacher must be able to explain clearly and in detail so that the students can understand the material presented. 3) In learning practice, after the students listen and learn through physical activity and direct involvement, they must conduct a direct experiment to gain deeper understanding of the materials. In this library research, the researchers searched for some references related to the research.

Abstract

Learning is a series of learning processes carried out by students to develop a student's knowledge, skill, and attitude. creativity is also required in the learning process. Creative thinking is the ability to solve problems in creating a success. one of the lessons that stressed creativity is the study of physic. Innovative learning can be done by selecting the methods of mind mapping presented in pitures and words. the mind mapping is the most effective and efficient way to input, store, and extract data from the brain. The study aims to identify student's creativite thinking ability by using the mind mapping method in Jember high school students. The study is a qualitative and qualitative deitique carried out at SMAN 4 Jember, SMAN Ambulu, and SMAN Jenggawah. Research tools involve the matter of creative thinking tests and the results of students sheets using the mind mapping method. Research shows that overall stages of the entire school being subjected to research, each indicator would be an average of 50-79. Within the criteria of a student's creativity can be categorized as moderate or creative enough. Keywords : Identification, creative thinking ability, mind mapping, optics
