Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan pengetahuan mengenai alam semesta dan fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di alam. Pada proses pembelajaran IPA dibutuhkan bahan ajar. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan adalah LKPD. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan E-LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL). Populasi penelitian yakni siswa kelas VIII-C di MTSN 1 Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan yakni analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes hasil belajar kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni uji skor validitas, kepraktisan, N-gain dan uji skor angket respon siswa. Pada uji validitas diperoleh nilai 83% dengan krteria sangat baik. Pada uji keterlaksanaan didapatkan hasil 89% berkategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji N-gain didapatkan skor yakni 0,53 berkategori sedang. sedangkan pada uji angket respon siswa didapataan hasil yakni 82% dengan kategori sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS pada pembelajaran IPA SMP.

Abstract

This research was conducted to test the significant influence of using the problem-based learning model accompanied by multi-representation-based students worksheets (LKPD) on junior high school students' learning outcomes. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were class VIII students at SMP Katolik Santo Petrus Jember in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, with 52 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data collection uses test techniques in the form of pretest and posttest accompanied by data analysis techniques in the form of normality test, independent sample t-test, and right-tailed t-test. The results of the research show that the use of the problem-based learning model accompanied by multi-representation-based students worksheets (LKPD) for junior high school students has a significant effect on improving the learning outcomes of junior high school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model inkuiri terbimbing yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA pada materi listrik dinamis. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan Kemp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran fisika layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika SMA dengan hasil sebagai berikut: rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran mendapatkan skor 3,43 (valid), buku ajar siswa mendapatkan skor 3,30 (valid), lembar kerja siswa mendapatkan skor 3,30 (valid), tes hasil belajar kognitif siswa mendapatkan skor 3,35 (valid), lembar pengamatan psikomotor siswa mendapat skor 3,67 (sangat valid), dan lembar pengamatan afektif siswa mendapat skor 3,67 (sangat valid). Kata Kunci : model inkuiri terbimbing, validitas perangkat pembajaran fisika.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the effect of PhET based science learning on junior high school students' motivation and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This type of research is a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was students of class VII B as the experimental class as many as 30 students and class VII C as the control class as many as 30 students carried out at MTs Negeri 4 Banyuwangi. Data collection was done by using test techniques, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used the independent sample t-test. The results showed that science learning based on PhET had a significant effect on student motivation and had no significant effect on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of junior high school students.

Abstract

In the 21st century, in the 4.0 revolution era, the Ministry of Education and Culture has developed a learning paradigm that states that students are expected to be able to develop abilities, one of which is the ability to think critically. However, in addition to these demands on learning, it is also emphasized to be able to make students carry out learning activities well. One way to increase students' learning activities and critical thinking skills is to develop Nearpod-based interactive science learning media. The purpose of this study was to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Nearpod-based interactive science learning media to improve the learning activities and critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model. The research subjects were 7th B grade students of MTsN 10 Jember. The research results are as follows: The validation results of the three validators were 92.13%, with very valid criteria. The practicality results on the learning implementation sheet show a proportion value of 93.23% with very good criteria. The results of the effectiveness of the media to increase learning activities are effective because there is an increase in the percentage at each meeting and an average of 84.47%, which is included in the very active criteria. The effectiveness of the media to improve critical thinking skills is included in the effective criteria because more than 75% of students have medium or high improvement criteria. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the media based on student responses obtained an average of 84.06% with very good criteria. It can be interpreted that the media developed are valid, practical, and effective for increasing learning activities and students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keefektivitasan soal literasi sains yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar berdasarkan dimensi pengetahuan konseptual, proses ilmiah, dan penerapan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Permasalahan utama dalam studi ini adalah rendahnya capaian literasi sains siswa Indonesia dalam studi internasional seperti PISA menunjukkan bahwa soal evaluasi yang ada belum sepenuhnya mengukur kemampuan berpikir ilmiah dan kritis melalui asesmen nasional dan internasional, yang menunjukkan perlunya penguatan kualitas instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran di gunakan di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis terhadap 16 penelitian terdahulu, terdiri dari 11 artikel nasional dan 5 artikel internasional yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi tertentu, dengan fokus pada pendekatan pengembangan soal, validitas instrumen, dan dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa soal yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan kontekstual, berbasis Nature of Science (NoS), etnosains, dan integrasi HOTS, terbukti meningkatkan keterampilan literasi sains secara signifikan. Maka, pendekatan soal berbasis proses ilmiah memberikan kontribusi dalam membangun kecakapan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman sains secara aplikatif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan bank soal literasi sains berbasis kearifan lokal, integrasi asesmen formatif dalam pembelajaran, teknologi digital, dan pelatihan intensif bagi guru dalam merancang soal yang adaptif terhadap konteks pembelajaran dan karakteristik peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study explores the characteristics of Written Communication Skills (WCS) of pre-service science teachers from a gender perspective. WCS is a skill related to the ability to convey ideas in writing so that they can express their ideas, information, and arguments. WCS is important for pre-service science teachers to succeed in their studies and the workplace, especially when they teach in the classroom. This research is based on the differences in communication characteristics of female and male pre-service science teachers that have the potential to influence the way they write on the blackboard media. However, until now, references related to the characteristics of WCS, especially pre-service science teachers and their gender roles, have not been explored. To explore in depth the WCS of both gender groups with more flexibility, explorative is the method used in this study. This study involved 101 pre-service science teachers from three universities with similar regional characteristics. The data collection methods used included written tests. Exploratory results illustrate that pre-service science teachers covering the components of organization, development, expression, and content are at moderate and very good WCS levels. Mann-Whitney analysis showed that gender had no significant effect on WCS. However, the mean review illustrates that in the organization and development components, the mean of female is higher than male. In contrast, male have a higher mean than female in the expression and content components. Thus, there is no need for special treatment by considering gender differences when honing WCS. To increase the level of WCS of pre-service science teachers, educators in universities are seen as only needing to provide opportunities for pre-service science teachers to carry out problem formulation and self-group reflection.        Keywords: pre-service science teachers, written communication skills, and gender roles. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i3.pp1397-1409

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMP selama ini masih cenderung bersifat konvensional dengan menekankan pada penghafalan dan ketergantungan pada buku teks, sehingga membuat kemampuan beragumentasi masih rendah dan minat peserta didik terhadap proses pembelajaran menurun. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis etnosains yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa SMP. Metode pengembangan mengintegrasikan pendekatan etnosains, yang menggali pengetahuan lokal siswa sebagai titik awal untuk membangun pemahaman konsep ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan menerapkan model ADDIE, yang mencakup langkah-langkah analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari analisis kebutuhan, terungkap bahwa bahan ajar yang sedang digunakan masih kurang inovatif, sehingga menyebabkan penurunan minat peserta didik terhadap proses pembelajaran. Data presentase hasil validasi oleh ahli menunjukkan tingkat kevalidan sebesar 85,96% dari validator pertama, 87,87% dari validator kedua, dan 89,97% dari validator ketiga. Selanjutnya, data presentase kepraktisan bahan ajar dikategorikan sangat praktis, yakni 88,53%. Hasil repon siswa 85,5% untuk ketertarikan dan perhatian, 89,33% untuk kemudahan, dan 89,77% untuk bantuan belajar. Keefektifan LKPD berdasarkan peningkatan hasil tes kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah dengan N-Gain sebesar 0.6 (sedang). Berdasarkan validitas produk, LKPD berbasis etnosains menunjukkan bahwa produk LKPD berbasis etnosains layak untuk diterapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the validity of a comic based e-worksheets on human digestive system material in order to improve the collaborative abilities of grade VIII junior high school students. The research method used is development research, sometimes known as R&D. The ADDIE development model is applied, and it consists of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Which of the five phases is used to test the validity of comic based e-worksheets is limited to three stages or up to the stage development. A validation questionnaire sent to three validation experts served as the study tool. Based on the validation data, we received an average score of 84% with a valid category.
