Abstract

Abstract

This service aims to improve the understanding and implementation of halal certification through a self declare scheme for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector in Pasanggar Village, Pegantenan District, Pamekasan Regency. The background of this activity is based on the mandate of the Job Creation Law Number 11 of 2020, which requires all business products to be halal certified. The implementation method includes initial surveys, focus group discussions, socialization regarding halal concepts and certification procedures, direct assistance in creating Business Identification Numbers, and the submission of halal certification through the SIHALAL platform. The results indicate that before the program was implemented, there were no SMEs in Pasanggar Village that had halal certification. After three months of intervention (September–November 2023), 18 SMEs successfully obtained halal certification. These findings demonstrate that an integrated approach through focus group discussions, socialization, and assistance is effective in accelerating the self-declaration-based halal certification process among SME actors

Abstract

This study examines the role of the taysir manhaji method in the development of Islamic economic law in Indonesia through the fatwas of the National Sharia Council–Majelis Ulama Indonesia (DSN-MUI). Taysir manhaji refers to a methodological approach that facilitates legal decision-making with ease and flexibility, allowing Islamic legal rulings to adapt to changing economic realities. By applying fiqh principles, DSN-MUI has issued fatwas addressing contemporary financial practices, including wadiah, mudarabah, currency exchange, and Islamic hedging. This research employs a qualitative approach, combining document analysis and interviews to explore the practical implementation of taysir manhaji in DSN-MUI fatwas. The findings reveal that this method serves as a bridge between classical fiqh and modern financial practices while upholding maqasid al-shari‘ah (the objectives of Islamic law). Its flexibility enables practical solutions, as exemplified by DSN-MUI fatwas No. 1, 5, 18, and 22, without compromising fundamental Islamic legal principles. The study underscores the taysir manhaji method's significant contribution to the evolution of Islamic economic law, demonstrating its ability to accommodate modern economic demands while preserving the integrity of shari‘ah principles. Furthermore, it highlights the necessity of adaptability in Islamic legal thought to address the complexities of the global economic landscape.

This research uses a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through observations and interviews with several consumers and producers. The objective of this research is to examine the Sharia compliance of the Mudharabah contract used in capital financing at PNM Mekaar Syariah, focusing on the branch in Prambon. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings reveal that PT PNM Mekaar offers Sharia-compliant capital financing products, as demonstrated by the research findings on the practice of capital provision by PNM Mekaar Syariah to its customers. However, there are some pillars and conditions that do not align with Sharia principles, leading to the deterioration of the Mudharabah contract's validity.
