Abstract

Green betel leaf (Piper betle L.) and honey have been scientifically known to have antibacterial activity. The antibacterial activity of green betel leaf is caused by the presence of compounds, such as tannins, flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, and terpenoids. While honey is due to the high sugar content, the acidity and compounds from the flavonoid, glycoside, and hydrogen peroxide groups. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the combination of these extracts against Propionibacterium acnes. Antibacterial activity was tested using the well technique agar diffusion method with green betel leaf extract concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5% ??and combined each concentration with 100% of honey. The results obtained by the extract antibacterial activity at concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5%, each combined with 100% of honey respectively at 11,81 mm; 14,45 mm; 15,48 mm; 16,77 mm; and 14,68 mm against Propionibacterium acnes. The results of this study indicate the combination of green betel leaf extract with a concentration of 10% and 100% honey produces the most effective inhibition zone.

Abstract

This article is a conceptual study aimed at discussing and analyzing women's leadership from the perspective of Human Rights (HAM) and Maqashid Syariah, namely trying to find laws on women's leadership using a human rights approach and mashlahah theory by referring to texts and contexts. The first is referring to texts. The Qur'an and Hadith, while the second refers to the social reality that occurs in society with all the underlying rules. The text path is taken to bring out laws through what is written in the texts of the Qur'an and Hadith. Meanwhile, what is ghoiru nash is achieved by understanding what is not written in the text by looking at social reality or the democratic political tradition that developed in Indonesia, whose validity is tested by human rights law and mashlahah theory based on the objectives of Islamic law (protection of religion, soul, reason, heredity, and property) and the rules of fiqhiyah, which are based on the political culture of society. This study uses a literature review method, namely searching for valid data sources from library texts that are relevant to the problem topic being researched. The results of this study show that classical commentators tend to place leadership rights on the male side for two reasons: first, because men are considered to have absolute advantages over women, such as physical strength and intellectual intelligence. Second, because men (husbands) bear the economic burden or livelihood of their family members. Women's leadership in the public sphere is a matter that is changeable. Apart from the fact that there are no strong arguments indicating that it is prohibited for women to become leaders, there is also support from the political culture of society, especially in the political context in Indonesia, which adheres to a democratic political system that provides equal political rights between men and women. Men and women both have the right to vote and the right to be elected as political leaders, which is based on statutory regulations, both human rights law and election law. Abstrak Artikel ini merupakan kajian konseptual yang ditujukan untuk membahas dan menganalisis kepempinan perempuan dengan perpektif Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) dan Maqashid Syariah, yakni berupaya menemukan hukum kepemimpinan perempuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan HAM dan teori mashlahah dengan mengacu pada teks dan konteks yang pertama mengacu teks atau nash Al-Qur’an dan Hadis, sedang yang kedua mengacu pada realitas sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat dengan segala aturan yang mendasarinya. Jalan nash ditempuh untuk memunculkan hukum-hukum melalui apa yang tertulis dalam teks Al-Qur’an dan Hadis. Sedangkan yang ghoiru nash ditempuh dengan cara memahami dari apa yang tidak tertulis dalam nash dengan memandang realitas sosial atau tradisi politik demokrasi yang berkembang di Indonesia yang diuji kesahihannya dengan undang-undang HAM dan teori mashlahah dengan berdasar pada tujuan hukum Islam (perlindungan agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta benda) dan kaidah-kaidah fiqhiyah yang bertumpu pada budaya politik masyarakat. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan, yakni melakukan penelusuran sumber data yang valid dari teks-teks kepustakaan yang relevan dengan topik permasalahan yang sedang diteliti. Hasil kajian ini menunjukan bahwa para mufasir klasik cenderung meletakan hak kepemimpinan dari sisi jenis kelamin laki-laki karena dua hal: pertama, karena laki-laki dianggap memiliki kelebihan atas perempuan yang bersifat mutlak, seperti kekuatan fisik dan kecerdasan akal. Kedua, karena Laki-laki (suami) menanggung beban ekonomi atau nafkah atas anggota keluarganya. Kepemimpinan perempuan dalam ruang publik adalah perkara yang sifatnya mubah, selain karena tidak ada dalil kuat yang mengindikasikan larangan perempuan menjadi pemimpin, juga adanya dukungan budaya politik masyarakat khususnya dalam konteks politik di Indonesia yang menganut sistem politik demokrasi yang memberikan hak politik yang setara antara laki-laki dan perempuan baik hak untuk memilih maupun hak untuk dipilih sebagai pemimpin politik yang dididasarkan pada peraturan perundangan baik undang-undang HAM maupun undang-undang Pemilu.

Abstract

Using a qualitative approach, this study examined students' motivation to learn Physical Education, Sport and Health (PJOK) in primary schools. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and participatory observation to collect data from teachers and students in elementary schools. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to find out students' perceptions, attitudes and experiences related to learning PJOK. The main objective of this research is to identify and understand students' motivation towards learning Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) in elementary schools. In addition, this study also sought to explore students' perceptions, attitudes and experiences related to learning PJOK, such as the classroom environment, teacher support and learning methods. The results show that students' motivation is the main factor influencing their participation and learning achievement in the subject. In addition, the results show that positive interactions between students and teachers, as well as interesting and interactive learning approaches, contribute significantly to increasing students' motivation. This study concludes that, to increase students' motivation in learning PJOK, teachers and schools must provide continuous support. It is hoped that these findings will help teachers and policy makers create better and more engaging PJOK programs for primary school students.

Abstract

This article reviews Political Tolerance; The Ethics of the Republic, Populism, and Totalitarianism in the Context of the 2024 Contestation. The study aims to illustrate the factors influencing changes in an individual's political tolerance during the 2024 presidential election contest. This research employs a qualitative method utilizing instruments such as literature studies, observation, analysis of conference outcomes, and data collection from informants through interviews, with the researcher acting as the key instrument. The data sources for this study are interviews conducted with lecturers from various programs in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The findings of this research highlight the extent of academic discussions and informants’ perspectives on political tolerance, the ethics of the republic, and populism, as viewed by scholars from various scientific backgrounds such as politics, sociology, religious studies, Qur'anic studies, and hadith interpretation. These perspectives are analyzed based on both factual and imaginative understandings of the ethics of the republic and the human condition. The researcher seeks to explore how deeply intellectualism and academic expertise within the university context perceive issues related to the human condition and the ethics of the republic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi pengurus pesantren dalam meningkatkam kesadaran para santri mengenai pentingnya penggunaan produk halal berdasarkan perspektif Hifdẓ an-Nafs. Penggunaan produk halal memiliki urgensi yang sangat tinggi dari aspek agama, kesehatan, dan ekonomi. Oleh sebab itu, melalui strategi yang efisien, pengurus pesantren dapat meningkatkan pemahaman santri terkait produk halal serta berkontribusi dalam pembentukan generasi muda yang peduli terhadap penggunaan produk halal. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam dengan pengurus pondok di berbagai Pondok Pesantren serta observasi di area sekitar Pondok Pesantren. Sumber data yang diperoleh terdiri dari sumber data primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa strategi yang telah diimplementasikan oleh pengurus pondok pesantren untuk meningkatkan kesadaran para santri tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan produk halal sudah sejalan dengan salah satu aspek dalam maqasid syariah, yaitu Hifdẓ an-Nafs (melindungi jiwa).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Optimalisasi Peran Guru Madrasah Dalam Mendorong Santri Bangkalan Terhadap penerapan Halal Lifestyle Perspektif Maqashid Syariah, yang dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan yang dihadapi generasi muda, khususnya santri dalam mempertahankan gaya hidup halal di tengah arus modernisasi, sehingga butuh akan penguatan. Guru Madrasah memiliki peranan penting dalam memberikan arahan, pemahaman, serta teladan mengenai penerapan gaya hidup halal terhadap santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data bersumber dari data primer, yaitu memperoleh data langsung dari lapangan, dan data sekunder yang bersumber dari jurnal serta buku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru dalam mendorong santri Bangkalan terhadap pentingnya penerapan halal lifestyle telah berjalan optimal, yang dilakukan dengan cara memperluas pendekatan yang digunakan, yaitu tidak hanya melalui pengajaran formal, tetapi juga melalui integrasi nilai-nilai halal dalam kurikulum, keteladanan, kegiatan bimbingan spiritual dan program ekstrakurikuler yang dapat mendukung dalam penerapan halal lifestyle. Dalam perspektif maqashid syariah, gaya hidup halal dipandang sebagai kebutuhan primer (dharuriyat) yang melindungi lima prinsip inti dalam kehidupan, yaitu agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta.

Abstract

Landscape architecture significantly contributes to sustainable development by incorporating universal design principles in the design of public open spaces. The design of urban parks, green corridors, and public squares prioritizes ecological sustainability and accessibility. Universal design incorporates accessibility features like ramps, tactile paths, and safe materials, while also promoting ecological sustainability through the use of green infrastructure like catchment parks and bioswales. This case study takes place in a public area in Kendari. We gathered the data through observational and interview techniques. We utilize analytical and synthetic methods to understand requirements, capabilities, and obstacles while integrating ecological, social, and technical components into a cohesive design. The research findings consist of practical principles and recommendations for the implementation of universal design in landscape architecture, encompassing layouts that facilitate social interaction, the utilization of sustainable materials, and solutions for water management. This research demonstrates that universal design enhances inclusivity while offering ecological, social, and cultural advantages; therefore, it aids in the development of public places that are adaptable, inclusive, and promote urban sustainability.

Abstract

English skills sebagai bagian dari penguasaan bahasa internasional menjadi sebuah muatan bahasa asing yang sangat penting untuk dipelajari bagi siswa sma. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra di salah satu sekolah menengah atas di wilayah Bangkalan ini adalah belum optimalnya penguasaan English skills, khusunya dalam materi Speaking dalam bahasa Inggris. Permasalahan ini perlu diatasi dengan membuat terobosan baru dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris melalui pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra terkait dengan belum optimalnya kemampuan English skills, khususnya Speaking. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan yang dikemas dengan penyampaian materi, praktik speaking dalam bahasa Inggris, dan tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih tertariik untuk belajar Speaking dalam bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan (TIK) dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan English skills khususnya dalam materi speaking. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah-sekolah dengan menerapkan (TIK) sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan English skills pada siswa. Abstract

The socialization of the introduction and use of the Canva application aims to improve the ability of elementary school teachers to create interesting and interactive learning media. Interesting learning media can increase student motivation and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This community service activity was carried out at Elementary School 1 Pahandut Palangka Raya involving 25 teachers as participants. Through the workshop method, participants were given an understanding of Canva's features and how to use them to design learning media. This activity has several stages, including: Presentation: Introduction to the Canva application, available features, and its benefits in education, Demonstration: Showing the steps for using Canva to create learning media, Practice: Teachers are invited to create their own learning media with guidance from the facilitator, and Discussion: Question and answer session to explore the use of Canva. The results of the activity showed an increase in teacher skills in using the application, as well as high enthusiasm for applying technology in the teaching and learning process. It is hoped that with the implementation of this application, the learning process can be more interesting and effective, and increase student motivation in learning. This activity also opens up opportunities for follow-up in the form of further mentoring and training.    Abstrak Sosialisasi Pengenalan dan Penggunaan Aplikasi Canva bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Media pembelajaran yang menarik dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Pahandut Palangka Raya dengan melibatkan 25 guru sebagai peserta. Melalui metode workshop, peserta diberikan pemahaman tentang fitur-fitur Canva dan cara memanfaatkannya untuk desain media pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memiliki beberapa tahap antara lain:  Presentasi: Pengenalan aplikasi Canva, fitur-fitur yang tersedia, dan manfaatnya dalam pendidikan, Demonstrasi: Menunjukkan langkah-langkah penggunaan Canva untuk membuat media pembelajaran, Praktik: Guru diajak untuk membuat media pembelajaran sendiri dengan bimbingan dari fasilitator, dan Diskusi: Sesi tanya jawab untuk mendalami penggunaan Canva. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi, serta antusiasme yang tinggi untuk menerapkan teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Diharapkan, dengan penerapan aplikasi ini, proses pembelajaran dapat menjadi lebih menarik dan efektif, serta meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Kegiatan ini juga membuka peluang untuk tindak lanjut dalam bentuk pendampingan dan pelatihan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

This research aims to know description of students’ difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable viewed from metacognition awareness and factors that cause students’ difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable. The type of research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Retrieval of subject perfomed by providing metacognition awareness questionnaire to students class IX and from result of metacognition awareness questionnaire selected purposively three subjects. Insrument in this research is questionnaire of Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) developed by Scraw & Dennison, diagnostic tes of difficulties in solving problem of linear equation system with two variable and interview guidelines. Indicathors of difficulties in solving problem namely understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. Result of research show: 1)subject with high metacognition awareness difficulties in understanding the story problem. 2) Subject with moderate metacognition awareness difficulties in devising a plan, difficulties in carrying out the plan, and difficulties in looking back. 3) subject with low metacognition awareness experience most difficulty in solving problem. Subject difficulties in understanding the problem, difficulties in devising a plan, difficulties in carrying out the plan, and difficulties in looking back.
