Abstract

Pada anak autis, kemampuan interaksi mata saat berkomunikasi dengan lawan bicaranya cenderung terbatas. Saat sedang berkomunikasi dengan lawan bicaranya, mereka enggan menatap mata sehingga tidak fokus dengan apa yang dibicarakan. Hal ini dapat menghambat anak autis untuk bisa peduli dan berinteraksi dengan lingkungannya. Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan, selama ini media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk menangani kesuliatan interaksi mata pada anak autis adalah dengan cara memainkan salah satu benda kesukaan mereka. Namun, dari hasil wawancara dengan para guru pendamping diketahui bahwa metode tersebut kurang efektif ketika anak sudah tidak tertarik dengan mainan favoritnya. Selain itu, tidak semua anak memiliki benda favorit yang bisa digunakan sebagai alat terapi di rumah. Keterbatasan ini membuat para guru, terapis, dan orang tua memerlukan cara untuk mengajarkan kemampuan interaksi mata pada anak. Salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan teknologi permainan video game. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengembangan Game edukasi untuk siswa autis sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran interaksi mata yang lebih menyenangkan dan menghindari kebosananan pada anak. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi ini dapat diterima dengan baik sekaligus dapat membantu siswa autis belajar interaksi mata.

Abstract

The automatic interpretation of Pap Smear image is one of challenging issues in some aspects. Accurate segmentation for each cell is an important procedurethat must be done so that no information is lost during the evaluation process. However, the presence of overlapping cells in Pap Smear image make the automated analysis of these cytology images become more difficult. In most ofthe studies, cytoplasm segmentation is the difficult stage because the boundaries between cells are very thin. In this study, we propose an algorithm that can segment the overlapping cytoplasm. First, the morphology operation and global thresholding to segment cytoplasm is done. Second, the overlapping area on cytoplasm region is separated using morphological operation and distance criteria on each pixel. The proposed method has been evaluated against the results of manual tracing by experts. The experiment results show that the proposed method can segment the overlapping cytoplasm as similar as experts do, i.e., 2:897 3:632 (mean std) using Hausdorff distance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a video game for toilet training materials as a medium for self-help learning for children with autism. Toileting skill is one of the basic self-help skills that children should master. In fact, teaching new things to children with autism is challenging. It requires a proper method to deliver the materials to these children. One of the effective learning media to teach self-help is to use visual media like video games. By using video games, children are expected to play and learn self-help skills, particularly about toileting. In addition, the video game is developed by applying certain design principles that fit with the needs of children with autism. The software is tested for its functionalities. Moreover, an implementation test is done by using observation communication analysis. Based on the results, the researchers conclude that the developed video game has implemented the proper design and materials related to toileting in accordance with the needs of children with autism. The respondents show positive results for using the video game.

Abstract

The easily transmitted Tuberculosis (TB) disease is attributed to the fact that Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (MTB) bacteria/viruses can be transmitted through the air. One of the methods to screen the TB disease is by reading sputum slides. Sputum slides are colored sputum samples of TB patients placed on microscopic slides. However, TB disease microscopic analysis has some limitations since it requires high accuracy reading and well-trained health personnel to avoid errors in the process of interpretation. Furthermore, the number of TB patients in the Primary Health Care (PHC) and the process of manual calculation of bacteria in a field of view often complicate the decision-making in the screening process conducted by the medical staffs. In this paper, the researchers propose the use of Watershed Transformation and Fuzzy C-Means combination to help solve the problem. The researchers collect the photo shooting of three PHC in Indonesia with 55 images of sputum from different TB patients. The assessed results of the proposed method are compared with the opinions of three Microbiology doctors. The comparison shows Cohen’s Kappa Coefficient value of 0.838. It suggests that the proposed method can detect Acid Resistant Bacteria (ARB) although it needs some improvement to achieve higher accuracy.

Abstract

Dental disease is one of the health problems commonly found in Indonesia. Data from the Indonesian Health Authority indicates an imbalance between the number of handled dental cases and the number of dental specialists who treat them. Technological advances bring significant improvements in the quality of medical services. A reliable Group Decision Support System (GDSS) requires a knowledge base editor for expert knowledge acquisition. A critical aspect in building a knowledge base is the interactive interface design. The problem that often arises is that experts find it hard to use a system because the interface does not meet their expectations. In this study, we analyze the interface requirements for a knowledge base editor with a group of experts. The purpose is to report on the process of designing a knowledge base editor interface with a user-centered expert group using the Information Systems Research (ISR-Framework) framework. We conducted several Focus Group Discussions involving 20 dentists, one dental specialist, and one Information Technology Expert in the GDSS field. The repetitive characteristics of this method help increase the value of user satisfaction. The research results expectedly support the ISR framework as a guide for designing future knowledge acquisition applications.

Abstract

In this study, a robust method is proposed for accurately separating overlapping cell nuclei in cervical microscopic images. This method is based on watershed transformation and an elliptical approach. Since the watershed transformation process of taking the initial seed is done manually, the method was developed to obtain the initial seed automatically. Total initial seeds at this stage represents the number of nuclei that exist in the image of a pap smear, either overlapping or not. Furthermore, a method was developed based on an elliptical approach to obtain the area of each of the nuclei automatically. This method can successfully separate several (more than two) clustered cell nuclei. In addition, the proposed method was evaluated by experts and was proven to have better results than methods from previous studies in terms of accuracy and execution time. The proposed method can determine overlapping and non-overlapping boundaries of nuclei fast and accurately. The proposed method provides better decision-making on areas with overlapping nuclei and can help to improve the accuracy of image analysis and avoid information loss during the process of image segmentation.

Abstract

Knowledge is needed for children with special needs to support their quality of life. This is a challenge for prospective educators / prospective teachers. A deeper knowledge is needed to really understand children with special needs. This research is carried out to develop a skill simulator application for autistic child’s prospective educator using Virtual Reality technology. This application will be used as a teaching medium which incorporates motion sensor tools. The sensors will make the virtual application looks realistic. The application was developed using the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The application development begins with discovering the characteristic of autistic children. This is done to formulate the learning materials. The knowledge base of the autistic children was obtained from the Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). By using the obtained knowledge, storyboard was designed and implemented. The developed application has been evaluated by 16 prospective child educators with autism and two professional experts. In general, the application can help prospective educators understand the characteristics of children with autism. Moreover, it provides a safe and pleasant teaching skill practice for the prospective educators.

Abstract

Laporan keuangan adalah berkas yang berisi pencatatan uang, yang dibuat untuk mengetahui kondisi keuangan perusahaan. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi pembuatan laporan keuangan saat ini menjadi sangat terbantu, salah satunya dengan menggunakan sistem informasi akuntansi. Sistem informasi akuntansi adalah sistem yang mencatat dan memproses data menjadi sebuah informasi yang dapat membantu dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Oleh karena itu sistem informasi akuntansi sangat diperlukan untuk membantu mencapai tujuan dan meningkatkan kualitas manajemen. Desa wisata Pentingsari merupakan desa wisata yang berlokasi di Yogyakarta. Pada Desa wisata Pentingsari terdapat kendala atau masalah yang dihadapi selama ini dikarenakan pencatatan keuangannya masih dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini menyebabkan pengurus desa wisata mengalami kesulitan dalam melakakuan penyusunan pembukuan keuangan serta rawan terjadinya kesalah perhitungan yang disebabkakn kelalaian manusia. Berlandaskan hasil yang didapat selama observasi dan wawancara, maka dibuatkanlah sistem informasi akuntansi dengan menggunakan metode prototyping sebagai jalan keluar dari permasalahan yang dihadapi. Dengan hasil sebuah prototype sistem informasi akuntansi yang sesusai dengan kebutuhan pengguna serta dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu kinerja pengelolaan keuangan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi semakin hari semakin meningkat khususnya di era digital ini yang sangat membutuhkan penerapan sistem informasi di bidang wisata  hhususnya pada penerapan sistem informasi untuk homestay pada desa wisata. Pada desa wisata pentingsari khususnya untuk homestay masih belum memanfaatkan sistem informasi sehingga potensi yang didapat kurang maksimal. Untuk saat ini terdapat kekurangan dari homestay tersebut seperti tidak meratanya pembagian homestay, pendataan homestay masih belum terstruktur, dan belum ada form penilaian terhadap homestay dari konsumen. Dari permasalahan diatas maka dibutuhkan sebuah sistem informasi untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada pada desa wisata Pentingsari khusunya untuk homestay.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Customer Relationship Management (CRM) menjadi sangat dibutuhkan oleh sebuah organisasi atau sebuah perusahaan, apalagi oleh sebuah desa wisata yang sedang ramai-ramainya dibicarakan atau dikunjungi untuk menjalin hubungan dengan konsumen dan mendapatkan timbal balik demi meningkatkan pelayanan. Hal tersebut sebenarnya bisa dilakukan jika ada sebuah sistem informasi yang didalamnya terdapat data konsumen dari desa wisata. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat sebuah sistem informasi Customer Relationship Management (CRM) yang dapat memudahkan dalam penyusunan data konsumen, dan  dapat menampilkan rating tingkat kepuasan konsumen dan timbal balik dari konsumen yang dapat membantu pengurus dalam meningkatkan pelayanan. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah desa wisata Pentingsari yang berada di Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode prototyping, dalam metode ini peneliti melakukan observasi dan wawancara dengan pengurus Desa Wisata Pentingsari untuk mengetahui kendala dan masalah yang dihadapi, serta mengidentifikasi kebutuhan yang dibutuhkan pengurus dalam sistem informasi penelitian ini. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat membantu dan mempermudah kinerja pengurus dalam penyusunan data konsumen, dalam mengetahui tingkat kepuasan konsumen, dan pengambilan keputusan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan.
