Abstract

To foster character education in Indonesia, research on the role of social capital has become an urgent issue because character crisis is one of the growing concerns and recent stunning news stakes. National identity crises have shown anti-cultural behavior, anti-character, and less use of domestic social capital blatantly. This research aims to describe the role of social capital that determines the implementation of character education through Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s perspectives. This qualitative research was designed as a case study using purposive sampling with individual resources such as headmaster, teacher, student representatives, school committee, parents, foundation management, and school supervisor. This research was conducted at Tamansiswa Primary School, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from November 2017 to January 2018. The research result shows that the social capital role determines the implementation of character education, and in Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s perspective, character education has been applied in all learning processes. Both intra-curricular and extracurricular activities support the school culture, and the family system is an integral part of habituation and exemplary character inculcation at school, family, and societal levels through mutual love, respect, assistance, and help. The obliged elements of social capital in embodying character education are trust, norm, and network.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK)  merupakan penelitian praktis yang bertujuan memperbaiki permasalahan pembelajaran dikelas dengan cara melakukan tindakan-tindakan untuk meningkatkan praktik pembelajaran di kelas menjadi lebih professional. Sosialisasi karya ilmiah  PTK ini bertujuan agar para guru memahami  tentang PTK dan mampu  membuat laporan PTK berkualitas secara berkesinambungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab yang dilaksanakan selama 1 hari kegiatan. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru karena mampu memberikan informasi terbaru dalam penulisan karya tulis PTK. Hasil yang dicapai adalah mitra memiliki pengetahuan tentang PTK dan memiliki kemampuan untuk merancang PTK. Kata Kunci : Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Mutu Pembelajaran, Pemasalahan di Kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis subaltern yang muncul pada cerpen “Buku” karya Putu Wijaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menganalisis cerita terutama dari segi tokoh berkaitan dengan kajian postcolonial yaitu subaltern. Subaltern merupakan bagian dari teori postkolonilaisme. Postkolonialisme secara etimologi berasal dari kata post dan colonial, sedangkan colonial itu sendiri berasal dari kata coloni, bahasa Romawi, yang berarti tanah pertanian atau pemukiman. Jadi secara etimologi colonial tidak mengandung arti penjajahan, penguasaan, pendudukan, dan konotasi eksploitasi lainnya. Konotasi negatif kolonial timbul sesudah terjadi interaksi yang tidak seimbang antara penduduk pribumi yang dikuasai dengan penduduk pendatang sebagai penguasa. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode baca dan metode catat.  Adapun teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Cerpen “Buku” karya Putu Wijaya merupakan cerita yang menarik karena tokoh diperankan oleh benda yaitu buku yang dapat berkomunikasi satu sama lain. Tokoh-tokoh ini merupakan tokoh yang termarjinalkan serta korban kekuasaan. Pada dasarnya akan tampak subaltern yang secara tersirat memiliki makna pragmatis dari setiap peristiwa yang dialami oleh tokoh yang berupa buku. Putu Wijaya berhasil memunculkan subaltern pada cerpennya melalui tokoh dan peristiwa yang terjadi.

Abstract

Abstract: This research has purpose to give description about powerpoint based learning media.it is held because students’ motivation are low in pandemic term. In this situation, it needs learning media which can be used by synchronous. There are zoom and asycronous through wharsapp group. Student can study themselves. To collect data using questionary technique, equipment. To collect data is RPP. Teachers use powerpoint based learning media to improve students’ motivation. Abstract

Learning of write descriptions in elementary schools is still low rate. Students have difficulty in expressing their opinion and ideas into descriptive writing. The purpose of this study is an effort to improve the ability to write descriptions using audio visual media in the third grade students of SD Negeri Tamanan 1 Kalasan. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was held at SD Negeri Tamanan 1, Kalasan District, Sleman Regency. The subjects of this research were 29 students consisting of 14 male students and 15 female students. Data collection techniques using the rubric of performance appraisal, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are analysis of test results and analysis of observational data. The results showed that the application of audio-visual media can improve the learning process of writing descriptions. The increase in the ability to write descriptions can be seen from the average value of students' descriptive writing skills in the pre-action by 54.65 to 66.18 with a success percentage of 41% or as many as 12 students in the first cycle, and in the second cycle the average value of students descriptive writing skills increased by 74, 69 with a success presentation of 75.86% or as many as 22 students. This percentage has met the indicators of success in research. It is hoped that this research can be continued and developed in order to be better and useful for the world of education, especially the world of elementary school education.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to determine the increase in student interest and learning outcomes through the application of interactive multimedia PowerPoint to thematic learning of science content for fourth grade students at SDN Wonosari 01. Data collection on student interest in learning uses observation and questionnaire methods, while data on student learning outcomes through science test methods. The results showed that the application of interactive multimedia PowerPoint in thematic learning of science content could increase interest and learning outcomes. The increase in student interest in learning can be seen from the average acquisition of interest in learning obtained by students in the pre-action of 40.82 (low category) with the percentage of students who get a score of 45 as much as 38%, in the first cycle of 44.71 (enough category) with the percentage of students who get a score of 45 is 58%, and in the second cycle 49.03 (high category) with the percentage of students who get a score of 45 as much as 81%. Student learning outcomes in pre-action obtained an average of 66.11 with students completing or achieving KKM as much as 42.30%, the first cycle of 69.23 where students who completed as many as 65.38%, and the second cycle of 75.64 with students completed as many as 80.76% of the total number of students. Based on these data, with the application of interactive multimedia PowerPoint, it can be concluded that interest in thematic learning of science content can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning history for elementary school students through reading books is tedious. This study aims to describe the cultivation of global diversity student profiles through the implementation of Tamansiswa Ngandel, Kandel, Kendel, and wayward teachings. Research data were obtained through learning observation activities, student interviews, and documentation of learning outcomes. The subject of the study was a fifth-grade student of SDN Sariharjo for the 2021/2022 academic year. The research location is the Jogja Kembali monument. The implementation of Tamansiswa teachings is taken through a six-step group investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model, namely 1) identifying the discussion of the subject matter and grouping students; 2) arranging learning activities; 3) making observations and investigations; 4) complete the group report; 5) present a report on learning outcomes; and 6) evaluate students' understanding. The results showed that students enjoyed learning history through museum visits. Tamansiswa's teachings on Ngandel, Kandel, Kendel, and recalcitrant are seen when students experience firsthand the planning, investigation, and reporting activities of the investigation. The profile of students with global diversity is seen through which students can appreciate the history and location of historical relics near their school.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observational data which shows social studies learning by using a learning model that is not in accordance with the circumstances. To respond to this, researchers conducted descriptive qualitative research which aims to implement learning models that are appropriate to the students' circumstances. Researchers observed the activities of teachers and students during learning activities by implementing problem based learning learning models. The Tri-N (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) problem-based learning model is carried out to find out its application in the classroom. The benefit of this research is that students can carry out structured and planned learning activities. This research was conducted for fifth grade elementary school students with a total of 15 students. This study measures all domains related to the learning process. The learning process by implementing Tri-N Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi-based problem based learning in social studies learning has several stages, namely determining basic questions, compiling project plans, compiling schedules, monitoring students and project progress, assessing results, and evaluating experiences. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Tri-N-based problem based learning model (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) was successfully carried out with all aspects of student achievement achieved.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of Canva application-based audio-visual learning media in the context of Thematic learning. This research uses the R&D method using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, in this study, only the Development stage is carried out because the goal is only limited to developing and producing learning media that are feasible to be implemented, based on assessments and suggestions from validators. The output of this research is a product in the form of learning media and articles that will be published in accredited national journals. TKT in this study is 1.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perception of Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) students regarding the use of the SiPeDar Learning Platform in the academic environment. The research method employed was a survey using a questionnaire as the primary instrument. The respondents in this study were active PGSD students who used SiPeDar in their learning processes. The main findings of this research indicate that 90% of PGSD students at UST Yogyakarta have a good understanding of SiPeDar usage and feel comfortable operating it. Factors such as the availability of technological resources and support from instructors also have a positive impact on students' perceptions of the quality and effectiveness of SiPeDar, with 95% acknowledging this influence. Furthermore, a significant majority of students expressed satisfaction with the use of SiPeDar in the learning process. The results of this research can provide valuable insights to educational institutions and developers of similar learning platforms to enhance the use of SiPeDar and support more effective distance learning in the future.
