Abstract

Ciwaluh Village, Wates Jaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province has good tourism potential, but the local community is not yet aware of this. Based on the problems mentioned above, community empowerment efforts are needed through community service programs in the Ciwaluh Tourism Village so that it can support the slogan of Bogor district as a tourist city. The goal is to create the development of a tourist village. The methods used are training, mentoring and implementation. Meanwhile, the collaborative partner in implementing Community Service is the Ciwaluh Village Tourism Group, Wates Jaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency. The aim of Community Service activities in the Ciwaluh Tourism Village is: Increasing Human Resources through Tour Guide Training. The method used is analysis of the competence of human resource managers, analysis of tourism support, analysis of local communities. The result of this activity is an increase in the competency of human resources as tour guides and the active participation of the Ciwaluh tourist village community increases. Participants receive training materials according to their needs as a tourism awareness group that markets Ciwaluh Village with the beauty of the waterfall. Participants can master the training material and the resource person delivers the training material systematically and is easy to understand. Participants considered the training methods and media interesting, and the duration of the training was considered appropriate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-concept, self-confidence, and creativity among upper-grade students in inclusive elementary schools in the Gondomanan district. The background of this research is driven by Indonesia's low ranking in the Global Innovation Index (GII) in 2023 and the low creativity scores in the 2022 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA). The method used is descriptive quantitative ex post facto with a correlational approach, where data was collected through questionnaires distributed to students. The analysis results show a moderate positive relationship between self-concept and creativity (r = 0.454; p < 0.01) as well as between self-confidence and creativity (r = 0.391; p < 0.01). The R-value analysis for the relationship between self-concept and self-confidence with creativity indicates a value of 0.553, signifying a moderate level of association. Furthermore, partial correlation analysis reveals that the relationship between self-concept and creativity remains significant (r = 0.424; p < 0.01) even when controlling for self-confidence. Similarly, self-confidence also shows a significant positive relationship with creativity (r = 0.355; p < 0.01). The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of both self-concept and self-confidence in influencing students' creativity in an inclusive education setting. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for developing more effective educational strategies to enhance students' creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning video utilization and student participation on learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 05 Gando Sulit Air. The research method used a quantitative approach with a pseudo-experimental design, involving 12 students as an experimental class (video-based learning) and 18 students as a control class by not using learning video media. Data were collected through observation of student participation and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using normality test (Shapiro-Wilk), homogeneity test (Levene's Test), independent t-test, and Pearson correlation. The results showed: (1) There is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class (mean=93) and the control class (mean=72) with t-count=8.45 (p=0.000); (2) Student participation of the experimental class (mean=83) is significantly higher than the control class (mean=73) with t-count=7.12 (p=0.000); (3) There is a strong relationship between student participation and learning outcomes (r= 0.82; p=0.001). Regression analysis showed a combined contribution of 78% (R² = 0.78). The conclusion of this study proves that the use of learning videos significantly improves students' participation and learning outcomes. The findings support Mayer's (2009) multimedia learning theory and recommend the use of videos as an innovative learning medium in elementry schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the teacher's ICT ability and parental tutoring on students' learning motivation at SDN Gugus Batupapan, Tana Toraja Regency. This research was conducted on teachers of highgrade students, namely grades 4.5 and 6 at SDN Gugus Batupapan. The population of high-class students at SDN Gugus Batupapan is 587 students. In this study, the Yamane or Slovin formula was used to determine the sample size for students, namely by using probability sampling technique with random sampling so that a total sample of 247 students was obtained. While the population of the number of teachers as many as 24 teachers. The method used in this study to see the causal relationship of an independent variable (X) to a certain variable (Y) is to use the ex-post facto research method with the type of correlation research. This study used two types of analysis, namely descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis on SPSS 24. Based on the statistical analysis of the teacher's ICT ability variable, the highest score was 105.00 and the lowest score was 74.00. The results of the analysis show that the mean is 88.3333, the median is 89.000, the mode is 89.00 and the standard deviation is 8.41152. Analysis of the variable data on parenting tutoring data obtained the highest score of 108.00 and the lowest score of 55.00. The results of the analysis show that the Mean is 83.8509, the Median is 83.00, the Mode is 75.00 and the Standard Deviation is 10.14893. Data analysis of students' learning motivation variables obtained the highest score of 111.00 and the lowest score of 55.00. The results of the analysis showed the Mean of 83.8138, the Median of 84,000, the Mode of 85.00 and the Standard Deviation of 11.96938. So it can be said that students' learning motivation is related to the ability of the teacher's ICT in terms of its application in the learning process. Parental tutoring is significantly related to the level of student learning motivation. Furthermore, the second variable, namely the ability of teachers' ICT and parental tutoring has a joint relationship with students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This paper investigates the implementation of character education in learning quality through school culture in Pangkalan Kerinci. It is common that more attention should be paid to the moral character of our youth. Such pleas are prevalent in the mass media and in professional forums and are usually justified by data reflecting juvenile delinquency. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by involving various stakeholders as participants, including teachers, students, and school administrators. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis by focusing on the role of school culture in building character education. The research results indicate that the school culture in Pangkalan Kerinci plays an essential role in building character education and learning quality. The findings reveal that schools in the region implemented values-based pedagogical strategies and extracurricular activities, which encouraged positive student behavior and academic achievement. In addition, the collaboration between school staff and parents is proven essential in reinforcing students' character development. The study highlights the importance of a supportive school culture, which supports and nurtures character education and improves learning outcomes.
