Abstract

Plastic is a non-biodegradable material. Plastic waste must be processed using processing machines or other processing methods such as processing plastic into fuel and other forms of products. Plastic waste processing machines are available in plastic shredding and injection machines. The performance of plastic shredding and injection machines depends on the plastic waste treated, the shape of the cutting edge, the structural strength of the plastic shredding and injection machines and others. The strength of plastic shredding and injection machines can be calculated by means of simulation using the finite element method (FEM). This method will save costs, selection of materials and cutting edge shapes quickly and easily and soon. In this study, FEM was used to simulate the design strength of a plastic shredding and injection machines in the form of pressure and displacement, followed by the manufacture of plastic shredding and injection machines and the work test of plastic shredding and injection machines. From the simulation results using FEM, the maximum voltage and structural displacement of plastic cutting and injection machine is 4.57 MPa and 0.031 mm and work test showed the machine can cut 800 grams of plastic waste in 278 seconds with motor rotation of 176 rpm, current 6.8 A, active force. Electrical load 1214.4 watts and torque 44.74 lb.ft.

Abstract

Perkembangan program Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Milling menggunakan simulasi sangat membantu proses pembuatan suatu produk dalam mengurangi kesalahan operator dan program yang dibuat sesuai dengan gambar tekniknya. Mesin CNC Milling bekerja untuk memotong dan membuat benda kerja merujuk ke 3 sumbu yaitu sumbu X, Y dan Z. Kesalahan pembuatan dan pemasukan program berupa pemosisian sumbu X, Y, dan Z dapat menyebabkan karakteristik geometrik benda kerja tidak tercapai (bentuk, dimensi, posisi dan kekasaran permukaan.) Kombinasi CAD/CAM sangat mendukung proses pembuatan produk yang memiliki ketelitian dan ketepatan yang sesuai dengan gambar desain sehingga karakteristik geometric benda kerja dapat dipenuhi. Kesalahan pembuatan program dan pemosisian sumbu X, Y dan Z dapat dapat diminimalkan dengan melakukan simulasi pengerjaan benda kerja tersebut seperti pemasukan kode-kode pemotongan benda kerja pada mesin CNC Milling (kode G dan M). Program simulasi yang dapat digunakan adalah Mastercam, swansoft simulation CNC (SSNC) dan lainnya. Penggunaan simulasi ini dapat membantu mempermudah dan mempersingkat waktu pembuatan program CNC Milling untuk produk yang akan dibuat dengan mendesain menggunakan CAD dan dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan program serta menginput program tersebut ke dalam MCU CNC Milling. Dalam paper ini focus menggunakan program simulasi Mastercam dan Swansoft CNC (SSCNC) untuk membuat produk milling dengan dimensi diameter luar 170, 16 mm dan diameter dalam 160,16 mm menggunakan material dural. Dimana hasil pembuatan simulasi program Mastercam dan SSCNC dibandingkan dengan proses pemotongan menggunakan mesin CNC Milling Leadwell V-30. Waktu proses pemesinan secara teoritis adalah 10,61 menit. Dari hasil simulasi dan pemesinan benda kerja menggunakan mesin CNC Milling Leadwell V-30 didapatkan waktunya adalah 9,53 menit untuk simulasi dan 10,56 menit untuk eksperimen. Dengan listing program yang sama antara CNC Leadwell V-30 dan simulasi SSCNC didapatkan selisih waktu pemesinan sebesar 0,09 menit.

Abstract

Rubber is the largest commodity in Indonesia. Rubber is traditionally processed and dried using bamboo hangers, manual arrangement of bamboo drying rubber, heat from firewood for drying chambers and large areas. This drying process has disadvantages, namely inconsistent drying time, non-uniform room temperature, unequal product quality, and unfriendly drying process. The solution is to overcome the automatic rubber dryer machine that is made using PLC to get the motor operating system for automatic rubber handling in the drying chamber, fixed drying temperature, small drying area, and fast-drying time. The experimental method is used for the automatic rubber drying process with PLC to control the movement of rubber in/out of the chamber dryer, heater, and blower for distribution temperature and other components. From the test results, it is found that the control system can work well at the voltage of each component of 220V, such as a sensor with a current of 0.21A and a stop time of 0.01s-0.3 seconds. The motor, heater, and blower are active (ON) at 220V with a current of 8.27A. The heater requires a current of 1.99A for active (ON) and an active blower (ON) with a current of 0.75A.

Abstract

Construction services are one of the most important and strategic sectors supporting the achievement of development in Indonesia. Through this sector, Indonesia can experience stable economic growth. In 2020, accidents in the construction sector were the highest cases compared to other sectors, with a death rate of more than 60,000 cases annually. The role of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management and the application of its requirements when working at heights is crucial to protect against the dangers of work accidents due to high risk. This study aims to determine the relationship between the factors that affect work accidents in the construction sector and their effect on Productivity moderated by ergonomics. This research was conducted by analyzing surveys from work-at-height workers in the construction sector, with 107 respondents from projects in Jakarta. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on non-covariance, namely Partial Least Square (PLS). Data analysis using Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results show that Ergonomics has no direct effect on Productivity, with p-value 0.313. Work Accidents do not directly affect Productivity with p-value 0.333. OHS Management does not directly affect Work Accidents with p-value 0.013. OHS Management has a direct effect on Productivity with p-value 0.000. Application of OHS Requirements has a direct effect on Work Accidents with p-value 0.527. Application of OHS Requirements has a direct effect on Productivity with p-value 0.001 and Application of OHS Requirements through Ergonomics has no direct effect on Productivity with p-value 0.000.

Abstract

IbM community service aims to help villagers to make coconut drying machine. This dryer can help people in the processing a crops product with high water content quality, hygienic, short time and are not dependent on climate or weather. This machine mechanism can help the farmers in processing coconut plantations product, especially in the process of drying the crop so that sale value of dried coconut is high and incomes become increase. In the previous drying method, the coconut is drying by the open system where as the method is dependent on natural and climatic conditions. This is very detrimental to the community because of losses in terms of drying time, the water quality and higyenis product is low and other unsecured cause dry oil prices to be low. By using a drying machine the drying time is shorter, water content and quality of drying can be controlled and hygiene will also be maintained. Increased levels of water quality and hygiene product drying will make the selling price of coconut increases. Increased selling prices will impact on people's incomes so that the welfare of society for the better copra producer. In addition to the increase in people's income, it is a national issue of poverty alleviation, employment generation and application of new technology-based products in the country will be met. This community service is done at the Village Pasar Pedati and Village Harapan District of Pondok Kelapa through training how to make the dryer machine so that people can make this tool in order to increase their income as both a producer of copra with maintained quality as well and the creator of this drying machine. From the results of devotion performed shows that the people be able to make the dryer machine with a drying time of wet coconut weighing 1.4 kg to 1 kg within 7 hours, the water content of 40% decreased to 28% and an average temperature of 65ºC. Keywords: dried coconut drier machine, solar energy

Abstract

Generator merupakan alat untuk mengubah energi mekanik menjadi energi listrik. Sumber gerak generator diperoleh sumber energi seperti fosil, angin, air, gelombang laut, panas bumi dan lainnya. Untuk sumber energi fosil saat ini sudah mulai menipis ketersediaannya sehingga sistem pembangkit listrik mulai dikembangkan dari penggunaan sumber energi terbarukan seperti angin, gelombang laut dan lainnya. Pengembangan generator untuk pembangkit listrik energi terbarukan dapat dilihat pada penggunaan berbagai macam jenis generator seperti pada pembangkit listrik energi gelombang laut menggunakan sistem pelamis, WTC, gerak pneumatis dan lainnya. Generator terdiri atas komponen mekanik dan elektrik meliputi rangka dudukan generator, sistem gerak generator, poros/shaft, roda gigi, bantalan, pulley, rotor dan stator yang memiliki lilitan kumparan dan magnet sebagai media penghasil listrik berdasarkan gaya gerak lisitrik [1-3]. Dalam penelitian ini dibuat generator AC dengan mekanisme gerak translasi dan rotasi yang memiliki beberapa komponen utama yaitu rumah/body generator, rangka dudukan generator, torak/piston untuk gerak translasi, roda gigi untuk kopel gerak translasi dan rotasi, stator dan rotor yang terbuat dari lilitan kumparan tembaga dan magnet neodimium. Rumah atau body generator dibuat dari material PVC, rangka dudukan dari terdiri besi dan stainless steel, lilitan kumparan dari tembaga sebanyak 5440 lilitan, magnet neodimium tipe trapesium 8 magnet. Variabel uji kerja generator AC gerak translasi dan rotasi ini adalah variasi putaran generator dan beban. Output kerja generator berupa tegangan dan daya. Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan variasi putaran 100-200 rpm dengan tanpa beban didapatkan tegangan maksimal sebesar 26,33 Volt. Dengan penggunaan beban sebesar 10 kΩ didapatkan tegangan 26,2 Volt dan arus 1,83mA.

Abstract

Proses electroplating dengan metode barrel plating mempunyai banyak keuntungan dibandingkan dengan metode plating lainnya, selain dapat menghasilkan produk dengan volume produksi lebih banyak sekaligus, selain itu barrel bisa digunakan untuk berbagai jenis material dengan peralatan yang sama. Namun, saat proses produksi massal ditemukan banyak produk cacat seperti perubahan warna menjadi kekuning-kuningan, produk bercampur, lapisan terkelupas, ketebalan lapisan yang tidak sesuai dan cacat lainnya. Cacat terbanyak adalah yellowish yaitu sebesar 40,15% dari keseluruhan kasus. Dengan focuss group discussion (FGD) dilakukan analisis penyebab cacat yang terjadi pada proses produksi skun dengan barrel plating. Analisis cacat dilakukan dari awal proses sebelum pelapisan, proses pelapisan sampai proses setelah pelapisan. Dari hasil focus group discussion ditemukan cacat yellowish berasal dari larutan elektrolit yang tidak bereaksi, adanya kontaminasi di dalam larutan elektrolit, air pembilasan kotor, lapisan plating terbakar karena overheat, produk masih lembab, adanya pengotor pada permukaan produk, waktu dan temperatur oven tidak sesuai dengan standar dan adanya pengotor yang berasal dari udara sekitar. Setelah ditemukan penyebab cacat dilakukan perbaikan dengan 4W1H, setelah semua tindakan dilakukan, cacat yellowish dapat turun menjadi 24,66% atau turun sekitar 15,49%.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hal yang penting bagi kehidupan manusia. Kualitas manusia, yang diantaranya tergambarkan pada nilai Indeks Prestasi Manusia (IPM), dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendidikan. Di Indonesia, pendidikan dilakukan melalui tiga jalur: formal, nonformal, dan informal. Namun, pendidikan di Indonesia tidak terlepas dari kekurangan. Salah satu institusi pendidikan non formal yang terletak di Depok yang hanya mampu meraih akreditasi C adalah contohnya. Akreditasi C menggambarkan kualitas pendidikan yang masih rendah pada institusi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek perbaikan apa saja yang harus diprioritaskan pada guru untuk menghasilkan kualitas pendidikan dan akreditasi yang lebih baik pada institusi pendidikan tersebut. Metode QFD dengan pendekatan variabel SERVQUAL digunakan untuk merumuskan usulan perbaikan kualitas pendidikan pada institusi tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dimensi responsiveness (indikator: kemampuan guru dalam membangkitkan motivasi saat kegiatan belajar mengajar, kemampuan guru dalam mendiskusikan masalah mata pelajaran di kelas, kemampuan guru dalam membahas soal atau tugas yang diberikan dan kesediaan guru menyediakan waktu untuk berkonsultasi di luar jam mengajar) dengan skor 3,70 adalah dimensi dengan skor terendah sehingga dimensi ini harus diprioritaskan paling pertama. Adapun berdasarkan pendekatan parameter instrumen akreditasi BAN PAUD PNF, kompetensi guru dengan skor 26,18 merupakan parameter terpenting yang harus menjadi prioritas utama untuk ditingkatkan.

Abstract

The coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to create significant effect than initially predicted. In addition, the virus spread showed rapid increment, since March 2020, leading to several impacts on human lives, e.g., education. Furthermore, various government policies, including social distance greatly influences teaching and learning activities, both in high schools and universities. As a consequence, conventional face-to-face learning model was temporarily suspended. This implies the need to engage online education. Prior to the outbreak, the mental workload of lecturers was relatively intense, comprising the three basic pillars of higher education (Tridharma), termed education, research and community service, as well as other additional tasks, including final year project supervisions and hold structural position. During the pandemic, mental workload considerably increased considerably as most lecturers, particularly the females also served as home teachers. Therefore the purpose of this research is to analyze the mental workload of female lecturers during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Questionaire is used to measure mental workload taken from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration-Task-Load Index (NASA-TLX). Furthermore, the survey is applied to evaluate job demands. The results showed that teaching, research and housewive role influence the mental workload as an aspect with the maximum score. In comparison, a maximum score of 29% on the mental demand aspect generates a physical demand aspect of 27%.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry contributes 65% to the total plastic packaging demand and also produces plastic waste. This causes problems for the environment, humans, and others, especially in the waste treatment process. Because plastic is difficult to recycle by the soil or the environment. Consumption of plastic packaging also reaches 65% of the total national plastic consumption. To overcome this plastic processing, a plastic Waste processing machine is made that can process and change the form of plastic waste into other derivative products. The important thing in plastic processing machines is the ability of plastic processing machines to produce products according to consumer desires. The purpose of this research is to get the maximum capacity of plastic Waste shredding, and to know the production capacity of plastic waste in one process of enumeration. The experiment method is used in this research to get the performance of the machine like voltage, power, cutting force of tool, and cutting speed. Also Taguchi method are used to analyze of quality product by varying shape of product waste plastic such as cup, bottle and gallon cap. In this test, a maximum capacity of 20Kg/hour was obtained by using the plastic gallon cap test material. By calculate of cutting force for gallon cap is obtained voltage 231.5 Volts and power 555,4  Watts at shaft rotation 24,96 rpm. Cutting force of tool is 25,92 N and torque 1,68Nm with cutting speed of 1.986 m/min. For cup plastic obtained, the results on voltage are 238.9 Volt and power 585,96 Watts by a shaft rotation of 25,1 rpm. The cutting force of the tool is 54 N and torque 3.36 Nm with a cutting speed of 2.025m/min. For the plastic bottle, the Voltage is 238.86 Volt and the power of 595.9 Watts at the shaft rotation is 24,8rpm.  Cutting force of tool is 119.23 N and torque is 7.75 Nm at the cutting speed is 1.97m/min.
