Abstract

The State Electricity Company (PLN) serves all Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke with overhead lines and cable lines. The frequency of blackouts in an area due to disturbances in the channel. PLN seeks to suppress disturbances by carrying out maintenance, namely turning it off or without being extinguished. Medium Voltage Air Lines (SUTM) are more frequent disturbances. The worst damage happened to the conductors, Jumpers, and insulators. Damage will often occur if it is not predictable. In order to find out when damage occurs, a method based on Predictive Maintenance is used, namely maintenance based on historical disturbance data statistics. Predictive Maintenance can be realized by using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). From the results of RCM calculations and statistical data on one PLN unit, there is a new value for predictive maintenance time intervals, for conductors maintenance schedule must be carried out every 2 days, Jumpers every 12 days, and isolators every 16 days before serious damage occurs and widespread blackout Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) melayani seluruh masyarakat Indonesia dari Sabang sampai Merauke dengan saluran udara dan saluran kabel.

Abstract

One example of the current development of the plastic industry is Anti-Bacterial Plastic. Anti-bacterial plastic is a plastic that can store food well, even for a relatively long time compared to plastic in general. In the industrial world, companies are required to continue trying to find various ways and efforts to be able to compete with other companies that have the same business field. Defective products are products produced from a factory or industry where the product does not meet predetermined product quality standards. According to consumers, a good quality standard is if the product can be used according to consumer needs. However, if the product cannot be used according to consumer needs, then the product can be said to be a defective product. By analyzing defects in the antibacterial plastic manufacturing process, it can be useful to find problems that arise in the plastic packaging manufacturing process. The research method is carried out using a process of experimentation and measurement as well as checking defects visually. From the research results, three types of defects in anti-bacterial plastic products were found, namely eyelets, shrinkage and dimensional defects. These defects are characterized by spots on the plastic surface, wrinkles on the plastic surface, and dimensional differences in the plastic.

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is one of the most important parts of a company, as the main driver to achieve company goals. The company requires a workload calculation to determine the workload received by its employees. The method used in this workload calculation is Full Time Equivalent and Rating Scale Mental Effort to calculate the workload received by employees of the solid packing department in each packaging process. The results of this study on the blistering, sleeving, IPC, sealing, and shippering processes are in the normal category with a workload value in the range of 1-1.28, while the cartoning process is in the overload category with a workload value of 1.60 . The results of the RSME value calculation on the blistering and sleeving processes get a weighting value in the range of 71-85 with a moderately large category, the IPC, sealing, and shipping processes get a weighting value in the range of 59-70 with a fairly large category, while the cartoning process gets a weighting value in the range of 86-100 with a large category. So it's necessary to add 1 employee so that the FTE value is distributed properly or the workload is normal and the RSME becomes fairly large.

Abstract

The folding gate is a middle frame flanked by cross bars on the back of the shop door which has a higher level of strength than the body of the door and has better security. The U folding profile is made by a plastic deformation rolling process in which the plate is passed between the pressing roll and the sliding roll. Flat plates are used from the base material of metal plates with varying plate thickness where the metal forming process uses a cold working process. Factors that affect the results of rolling are roll dimensions, machine capacity, roll pressure lever settings and others. The thickness of the plate that can be rolled by the machine, the amount of force exerted on the roll gap, the evenness of the roll surface both vertically and horizontally and the alignment of the roll gap. The thicker the material with a large pressure spacing can affect the forming process so that it enlarges the largest angular deviation of 0.761 mm at a pressure spacing of 0.0 mm. A thicker material with a large pitch can enlarge the wing opening so that both wings bend imperfectly making the height deviation increase by 18.58 mm at a pitch of 0.0 mm. Thinner material with a large press distance at the start of the roll affects the flange width so that the rolling force exerted on the contact gap between the roll and the workpiece side is unbalanced. Get the largest size b- (8.030 mm) 0.0 mm pressure distance and b+ (7.843) 0.15 mm pressure distance.

Abstract

The effectiveness possessed by manufacturing machines is a parameter used to determine the performance of a company's manufacturing process. Effectiveness can be shown in the form of percentages as effective as a manufacturing process is carried out. Effectiveness can be a reference for companies in the implementation of production by evaluating charts of production that are considered less effective and do not meet standards. The factors that affect the effectiveness of a production machine can be seen in the availability or capability, quality, and performance where in this article the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method which has a production period of one month is used to get the effectiveness of the production process carried out. The results obtained in this study were 88.53% in the first week of proposition, 94.63% in the second week of production, and 91.58% in the third and last week of production.

Abstract

Abstract

One of the company's efforts in implementing the commitment to customer satisfaction is carried out through continuous improvement activities. All indicators are evaluated to determine the level of quality stability against process variations that will impact non-compliance with predetermined product specifications. One of the quality problems found in the tire manufacture industry is the out-percentage of tire uniformity, which suddenly increases, one of which is the value of static balance. This study analyses the process variation factors that occur to take corrective and preventive actions through a series of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Refers to the analysis result, it was found that there was a problem with the rubber film gauge variation at the manufacturing step of the steel breaker, one of the material components in the tire construction. Two main factors cause rubber film thickness variation: rubber sticky with roll calendar, Radial Run Out (RRO) Roll Calendar out standard, and viscosity compound variation with 12 root problems found. The results of the improvements that have been made can effectively improve rubber film thickness variation, increase the Cpk level of steel breaker material from 0.82 to 1.91 and reduce the out percentage ratio of static balance by 54.65%.
