Abstract

Language is considered to be a system of communicating with other people using sounds, symbols and words in expressing a meaning, idea or thought. Speaking is the action of convey information or expressing the idea and feelings in spoken English. This research explained about analysis the anxiety students’ speaking in English at the eleventh grade of Vocational High School Bina Insan Mandiri Lebak in the academic year of 2023/2024. In this research, the researcher use qualitative approach while the research method will use descriptive qualitative method. The researcher would carry out the steps of the research, namely the process of data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and verification. There were three types of student anxiety in speaking English at the Eleventh Grade of Vocational High School Bina Insan Mandiri Banjarsari Lebak, they are State Anxiety, when the students feel panic and may stress when they want to speak in English, Trait Anxiety, when the students feel nervous when they do not understand the teacher explanation, and Specific-situation Anxiety, when the students should do examination about speaking. There were three factors caused the students anxiety in speaking English at the Eleventh Grade of Vocational High School Bina Insan Mandiri Banjarsari Lebak, they are communication apprehension, where the students could not speak English because they have little experience with English and do not always practice English, test anxiety, where the students feel anxious because they have to do the test that the teacher assigns to them, and fear of negative evaluation when the student are afraid of being judged negatively by their teachers and of being mocked by their classmates if they make mistakes when speaking English. Abstract

Abstract: The community service program in Nangewer Village, Darangdan District, Purwakarta Regency, aims to empower local MSME actors and strengthen the village's economic independence post-pandemic through the development of a participatory weekly market model. This activity involved 25 MSME actors, village officials, and Youth Organizations in planning, training, and implementing weekly markets combined with social activities such as mass gymnastics, local culinary, and children's games. The results of the evaluation showed an increase in the daily income of business actors from IDR 6.23 million to IDR 11.52 million, or an increase of 85%, with income stability of 40%. In addition to having an economic impact, this activity increases social interaction across hamlets and strengthens the role of women in household businesses. The main obstacles in the form of limited facilities and waste management are overcome through synergy with BUMDes and the support of the Village Fund. This activity shows good practices of collaboration between the community, village government, and universities in developing sustainable micromarkets, which can be replicated as a model of economic empowerment in other villages. Keywords: MSME; Community Empowerment; Weekly Market; Village Economy Abstrak: Program pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Nangewer, Kecamatan Darangdan, Kabupaten Purwakarta, bertujuan memberdayakan pelaku UMKM lokal dan memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi desa pasca-pandemi melalui pengembangan model pasar mingguan partisipatif. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 25 pelaku UMKM, perangkat desa, dan Karang Taruna dalam perencanaan, pelatihan, dan pelaksanaan pasar mingguan yang dikombinasikan dengan kegiatan sosial seperti senam massal, kuliner lokal, dan permainan anak. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pendapatan harian pelaku usaha dari Rp6,23 juta menjadi Rp11,52 juta, atau naik 85%, dengan stabilitas pendapatan 40%. Selain memberikan dampak ekonomi, kegiatan ini meningkatkan interaksi sosial lintas dusun dan memperkuat peran perempuan dalam usaha rumah tangga. Hambatan utama berupa keterbatasan fasilitas dan pengelolaan sampah diatasi melalui sinergi dengan BUMDes dan dukungan Dana Desa. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan praktik baik kolaborasi antara masyarakat, pemerintah desa, dan perguruan tinggi dalam mengembangkan pasar mikro yang berkelanjutan, yang dapat direplikasi sebagai model pemberdayaan ekonomi di desa lain. Abstract

The history of the formation of the education curriculum in Indonesia reflects a long journey influenced by various social, political and cultural factors. Various kinds of curricula have been born in Indonesia, including the Colonial Period curriculum, the Independence Period, the 1947 and 1952 Curriculum, the 1968 Curriculum, the Competency Based Curriculum (2004), the 2013 Curriculum, and finally the Independent Curriculum. Overall, the uniqueness of the curriculum in Indonesia reflects efforts to create a relevant and adaptive education system, although it still requires improvements and adjustments to achieve better educational goals in the future. The educational curriculum in Indonesia has unique characteristics that differentiate it from other countries. This system reflects cultural values, religion and a strong national spirit, and continues to develop according to the needs of the times. With a variety of cultures, languages ​​and traditions, this curriculum is designed to reflect the diversity and needs of Indonesian society. However, behind its uniqueness, there are challenges and opportunities that need to be understood more deeply. In this article, we will discuss the unique characteristics of the education curriculum in Indonesia according to experts, both from within the country and abroad.
