Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia memandang penting keberadaan para pelaku UMKM dengan melakukan berbagai upaya-upaya dalam meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Sebagai kota industri, jumlah UMKM di Kota Batam berkembang cukup pesat akan tetapi banyak usaha yang terdampak akibat pandemi selama dua tahun belakangan ini. Sebagai salah satu usaha dalam mengurangi dampak tersebut dari sisi akademisi yaitu dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat serta penelitian. Salah satu hasil penelitian terkait yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Hati dan Anishafitri tahun 2021 tentang analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan UMKM selama pandemi. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut dilanjutkan dengan mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengenai Peningkatan Kinerja UMKM Bidang Manufaktur Melalui Pendampingan dan Edukasi Pengelolaan Persediaan Bahan Baku. Topik pengabdian yang diajukan disesuaikan dengan roadmap pusat kajian UMKM, gender dan disabilitas. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini juga akan dikolaborasikan dengan PBL mata kuliah Logistik & Rantai Pasok, Pergudangan & Persediaan, K3 & Lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap yang dimulai dari diskusi dengan pelaku UMKM terkait dengan kebutuhan mereka mengenai sistem pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku serta akan dilaksanakan pula pemberian edukasi dan pendampingan dengan menggunakan video-video edukasi yang dikembangkan dan pelaksanaan webinar bersama para pelaku UMKM di Kota Batam.

Abstract

Socialization and education regarding customs regulations for small entrepreneurs will be very useful for the development of Small Businesses, which is very important in the current conditions, where the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the national economy, especially for Batam. This service leads to socialization and education of regulations related to customs for small entrepreneurs. This community service activity aims to provide socialization and education related to customs regulations for micro, small and medium enterprises in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The target of this service is SMEs in Batam. The purpose of this service is to: 1. Provide socialization of customs regulations for small entrepreneurs in Batam. 2. Provide education on customs regulations for small entrepreneurs in Batam. 3. Know the understanding of small entrepreneurs about customs regulations that encourage exports for small entrepreneurs and understand the understanding of shipping regulations. The method that will be implemented is by conducting online training, providing pocket books and motion graphics videos. The expected result is the existence of pocket books and motion graphics videos that can be accessed by small business actors, MSMEs, companies and the community. This service is one of the implementations of Project-Based Learning for courses in international trade law and taxation as well as international trade.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to give the empirical evidence regarding the impact of the implementation of PMK Number 199 / PMK.010 / 2019 on MSMEs in Batam. The data used in this study are primary data. The data collection method utilizes a questionnaire via google form which is distributed in the WAG community and existing social media. The sample was 122 respondents who were MSME actors in Batam. The research findings indicate that the majority of SMEs are not aware of the contents and objectives of the regulations, have not received sufficient or effective socialization, are not aware of the mechanisms for deduction, payment, and reporting, do not know the amount of the tariffs to be paid, and this has resulted in a decrease in their business revenue and income.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the factors that influence the perception of the millennial generation as YouTuber gaming viewers in Batam. The technique used to collect data is a questionnaire. The data analysis method used in this research is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of the research show that from the 14 indicators analyzed, 4 new factors were formed, namely: impact on viewers, content sharing, audience perceptions of YouTuber videos, and benefits received. After analysis, the most dominant factor influencing the perception of the millennial generation as viewers towards gaming YouTubers in Batam is the impact on viewers, with a variance value of 22.169%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors influencing women's career choices and the most dominant factor among female alumni from the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Batam State Polytechnic, particularly in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) engineering. This study uses a quantitative approach with the factor analysis method and a sample of 100 respondent alumni selected via the saturated sampling technique. The results showed that the most dominant factor in women's career choices in STEM engineering is the personality factor. This study confirms that, although personality emerged as the dominant factor, the financial reward factor and family environment factor also influence women's career decisions. In this study, 11 variables were reduced to three key factors driving women's career choices in engineering: personality, financial rewards, and family environment. The practical implication of this study is the need for mentorship programs, increased information about the prospects of financial rewards, and more intensive family support to encourage more women to pursue careers in engineering. This research makes a theoretical contribution to understanding women's career motivations in STEM fields and can serve as a basis for promotion to prospective students.
