This research was conducted to describe the mistakes made by students in the Pythagorean theorem materials when solving mathematical problems. This study was conducted using a qualitative description method in an MTs school in West Bandung District, where there are as many as 20 students in Class VIII A. This study uses descriptive tests to collect data. The stage of drawing conclusions is completed through data analysis, data collection and data simplification. The result of calculating the student's answer is part of the data processing technology. Then get the result that students have wrong answers when reducing data. The common mistakes made by students include errors in arithmetic operations, errors in conceptual understanding, errors in students' rush to answer questions that do not match the completion of the steps, and errors in understanding the language of the question.

This research aims to examine how the correlation of self-confidence to the ability of mathematical reasoning of Junior High School student. The type of research used is correlational research. The subject of research is the students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ngamprah. Data collection techniques in this research is a test of mathematical reasoning ability in the form of description and self-confidence questionnaire. The objectives of the study was to analyze students difficulties in circle material questions. Descriptive qualitative method is used in this study to describe the students difficulties. 20 students of  IX E class in MTs Al-mukhtariyah mande are the subject of this study. Data collection technique used test. In Addition, data analysis using three main components : data reduction, data display and verifying conclusion. The result of this study show that that the indicator of the common tangent of two circles is the highest error (80%) and determine relationship between angle at centre and angle at circumference question indicator is the lowest error (33%). Several factors cause students difficulties, there are (1) difficulty in comprehending the concept of a circle, (2) difficulty in applying appropriate formula, (3)  difficulty in operate math questions, and (4) difficulty in accurately answer the question.

The ability to master concepts is one of the obstacles experiences by students in studying algebraic form. This is the background of the author to conduct this research with the aim of knowing the increase in students conceptual mastery if a contextual approach is applied to learning algebraic form in class VII Junior High School of Dharma Kartini Cimahi. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAS) with the methods use are survey, test, and observation methods, the analysis used is qualitative. The results of the stude are evidenced by the improvement in student learning outcomes from the condition of learning completeness that no one reaches the KKM value, increasing in the first cycle as many as 8 students (40%) and in the second cycle it has increased to 15 students (75%). It can be concluded that the application of the contectual approach is good enough to improve students mastery of concepts in algebraic form.

This study aims to determine the extent to which mathematical disposition affect the problem solving abilities. The method used is quantitative descriptive with correlation technique. The population in this study were all 8th grade Junior High School students in Cilacap district with a sample of 31 students who were selected purposively at one Junior High School. Data obtained by testing the problem solving tes instrumen as many as 5 questions then analyzed the achievement on each indicator of ability and non tes in the form of a mathematical disposition questionnaire of 25 statements. The research data were processed using SPSS 16.0 software by conducting pearson correlation tes and the results were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study concluded that there was a moderate positive correlation between mathematical disposition of problem solving abilities with a correlation of 0,556 and a coefficient of determination of 0,309 at a significance of 0,05. This shows that the higher the mathematical disposition, the higher the problem solving ability of students with an effect of 30,9%

This research is motivated by the large number of students who experience learning barriers on trigonometry material. The obstacles that often occur in students when solving questions that are not routine such as questions in the form of stories. The purpose of this study is to analyze the epistemological obstacle of high school students on trigonometry material. The method of this research is a descriptive qualitative method with the subject of the study being students of class XI in one of the high schools in West Bandung with 27 students. The instrument used was a test in the form of a description of trigonometric material and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques used are: Data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results and discussion of this study is that the epistemological obstacle of high school students on trigonometry material occurs because of the limitations of students when solving non-routine problems. When students are given unusual questions, which are questions in the form of stories, students experience learning obstacles and tend to be unable to solve problems by completing. Students who are given ordinary or easy problems will make students difficult in working on questions in the form of stories. Students should be given problems in the form of problem solving, so students can think critically and will not have difficulties when given questions in the form of stories or problem solving.

 This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to examine the improvement of students’ mathematical understanding concept in the VIII grade SPLDV material at Junior High School 2 Saguling. This research was conducted on class VIII-A students in the 2020-2021 school years. The subjects of this study consisted of 17 students who belonge to group A in class VIII-A. the instruments used were test, interviews, and observation sheets given to teachers and students during classroom action research. The results showed that the aspect of students’ mathematical understanding abilities had increased because the actions given used a scientific approach and the questions on each test were in accordance with the indicators of the mathematical understanding ability. Based on the wprk indicators and processed resluts, it can be concluded that the mathematical understanding ability of grade VIII-A students of junior high school 2 Saguling can be through a scientific approach.

This article aims to analyze the difficulties of grade VII junior high school students in solving algebraic operation problems. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of class VII-A at a private junior high school in West Bandung Regency. The researcher used an instrument in the form of 7 items of comprehension ability, where each question represented an indicator of mathematical understanding. The data analysis technique used in this research is the test results of algebraic operations, data reduction and drawing conclusions. Based on the data analysis, it was found that some students had difficulties in solving algebraic operation problems, including students who did not understand what concept was being asked, students still did not understand calculating addition, subtraction and algebraic multiplication operations, students did not understand how to factor, students were less careful in writing operation signs or variables and students are still wrong in defining the variable 'x' they think that 'x' is a sign of the multiplication operation. So it can be concluded that the ability to solve algebraic operation problems in class VII-A is still low and still cannot reach the expected KKM value.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online, this does not become an obstacle for learning mathematics, especially on the subject of social arithmetic which is closely related to daily activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain students' mistakes when working on social arithmetic problems online. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques by distributing 5 items of description. The subjects in the study were seventh grade students of Dharma Kartini Middle School, Cimahi. The research stages include data reduction, data delivery and data inference. The results of this study show an error in indicator one determining the relationship between selling and buying prices and indicator two determining the relationship between profit and loss in the low category, indicators of the relationship between net, gross and tare and indicators solving problems related to social arithmetic in the medium category and indicators solving problems with respect to discounts in the high category. The underlying factors are the lack of accuracy of students in pronouncing the questions, lack of understanding of concepts and students still not understanding arithmetic operations.

This study is a action research.  This study aims to see the improvement of student learning outcomes in mathematical logic material trough a contextual approach to class XI at SMK TI Garuda Nusantara Cimahi. This research was conducted in the academic year 2021-2022 with 15 students in this study. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, documentation and using test questions. The instrument that will be given to students is 5 test questions carried out in 2 cycles. The first cycle will carry out a pretest which means doing an initial test and a posttest which means a final test for students by being given an understanding of mathematical logic material using a contextual approach. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following results were obtained:  1) learning outcomes in the initial test get a score of 7 students with an average (46.67%), 2) learning outcomes in the final test get an increase of 13 students with an average (86 ,66%), seen from this study most of the student learning outcomes have met the criteria for the KKM score. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that through acontextual approach can have a positive influence on learning outcomes carried out on  in mathematical logic.
