Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis serta mengetahui kesalahan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pada materi Himpunan yang berpedoman pada terpenuhi atau tidaknya indikator pemecahan masalah matematis berdasarkan prosedur Polya. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengolahan data yang dilakukan dalam menganalisis hasil data ini yaitu dengan menilai jawaban siswa berdasarkan soal indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah menurut Polya sebanyak 5 soal yang merupakan instrument tes. Selain hasil tes pendukung penelitian ini berupa wawancara dengan orang siswa yang terpilih. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu 30 siswa kelas VII-E di MTs Negeri 1 Kota Cimahi. Kemudian diambil enam subjek siswa untuk dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dari 5 soal tes yang diujikan, masih terdapat beberapa kesalahan yang ditemukan pada hasil jawaban siswa dalam penyelesaian soal-soal pemecahan masalah ini, antara lain: tidak menuliskan apa yang telah diketahui, ditanyakan, serta tidak mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur tersebut, proses perencanaan penyelesaian soal yang tidak sistematis, tidak memahami permasalahan, kesalahan dalam perhitungan jawaban, kesimpulan yang tidak sesuai dengan hasil penyelesaian, serta kekeliruan dalam mengidentifikasi gambar.

Abstract

Pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk mengganti Ujian Nasional dengan Asesmen Nasional yang didalamnya memuat asesmen Kompetensi minimum (AKM). Jenis soal AKM masih belum familiar di kalangan guru oleh karena itu tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal AKM. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan workshop penyusunan soal AKM yang dilaksankan 3 sesi. Instrumen yang menjadi acuan kegiatan ini adalah angket dengan 14 pernyataan untuk mengukur pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal AKM, subjek dalam pengabdian ini sebanyak 100 guru di kabupaten Pangandaran yang terdiri dari guru sekolah dasar dan menengah Adapun lokasi pengabdian yaitu di SDN 2 Pananjung Kab. Pangandaran. Hasil penngabdian ini yaitu pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal berbasis AKM meningkat sebesar 34,72% dan masuk dalam kategori baik. Kemudian respon guru positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan ini. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat di implementasikan dalam pembelajaran guru di kelas dengan memberikan soal-soal berbasis AKM kepada siswa agar siswa lebih siap dalam menghadapi Asesmen Nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what errors are experienced by students in solving story problems on one-variable linear equation material and what factors cause students to have difficulty working on problems on one-variable linear equation material. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research method. The research subjects used were students of SMP Negeri in one of the Cimahi cities in class VII-J as many as 17 students. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a description test of 3 questions. The results of this study found that students' difficulties in solving story problems were lack of understanding of reading questions so that students did not write down what was known and asked, difficulty in compiling mathematical models, difficulty in determining completion results, using the wrong process, and difficulties in writing answers. end. The factors that cause students' difficulties in completing PLSV are not understanding the meaning of the question, not understanding the material for algebraic arithmetic operations, and students who are not accustomed to solving story problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical communication skills of students of SMP 1 Bandung Junior High School class VII and examine errors in solving test questions regarding the material in the form of algebra. The research method used is the description method. The subject of the research was conducted on 29 students of Grade 1 Pearl Junior 1 Bandung Bandung. The test questions given are in the form of 6 questions. The results showed that mathematical communication skills as a whole were moderate and there were 1 indicator that entered the criteria very well, namely for indicators to rewrite information in the form of images into the language of mathematics. (Well); indicators state the problem of mathematical models of story forms into mathematical symbols, (Good); the indicator states what is known and asked according to the mathematical formula (Good), the indicator completes what is known and what is asked daily events using mathematical formulas (Good). And 1 indicator which includes sufficient criteria, namely the indicator states the completion of the mathematical model of drawing with the right solution idea. And it can be seen that the average score of all questions from all students is included in the good criteria

Abstract

This study aims to determine what difficulties experienced by students in working on the problems in algebraic material and what factors cause students to experience difficulties in working on the questions in algebraic material. This type of research is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects used were students of Grade 1 Pearl Junior High School 1 as many as 30 students. The data collection technique is a description test of 5 items, interviews, and student assignment documentation. The results of this study found that student learning difficulties can be seen from four errors in working on algebraic problems, namely lack of understanding of positive and negative operations, lack of understanding of reading questions, errors in calculations, use of wrong processes. Factors that cause student errors in spelling out algebraic problems are incorrect writing the operating symbol, forgetting the results of the operation of positive and negative signs, not being careful and concentrating, forgetting about the material taught before because they did not study, not understanding the teacher's explanation, not ready if there test, do not understand/ misunderstand the intended question, hurry to work on the problem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities of students and examine errors in solving system problems of two variable linear equations in class VIII by categorizing students with low, medium and high mathematical reasoning abilities. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a form of test research. The population taken is all private junior high school students in Bandung Regency with a sample of selected VIII-A class students in 30 students of Sulaiman Air Force Middle School. The test instrument provided is in the form of 5 questions. The results showed that reasoning ability in the material system of linear equations was two variables, namely for male students mathematical reasoning ability only reached 57% and in female students mathematical reasoning ability reached 63% of 30 students, so that students' mathematical reasoning ability in class VIII- A Suludan Air Base Space Middle School is male students have lower mathematical reasoning ability compared to female students

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of class IX junior high school students in Maleber and examine errors in solving test questions regarding material quadratic functions. The research method used is the description method. The study was conducted with the subjects of the research were 34 IX grade junior high school students in Maleber. The test questions given are in the form of 3 questions. Data were analyzed based on FRISCO critical thinking indicators where there were several stages used, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the profile of critical thinking students is high, medium, and low mathematical abilities in solving problems in the problem. At the stage of understanding the problem, high and moderate ability students can express what is known and asked in the questions in detail. While students with moderate and low ability have difficulty in finding alternative solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of mathematical communication skills and student learning activeness. The method used for analysis in this study is a Descriptive Qualitative Method that aims to be able to analyze the results of students' work on mathematical communication tests and search questionnaires on student learning activeness. The samples studied were 30 students from a total of 34 students of class IX-C at GUNUNGHALU 1 Public Middle School in West Bandung Regency in the 2018/2019 school year. The test questions used were mathematical communication as many as 3 questions as well as non-active learning instruments as many as 18 statements for each student. The results of the analysis obtained are mathematical communication skills and in junior high schools in West Bandung regency based on written description tests are still relatively low, especially on indicators linking diagrams into mathematical ideas, student learning activeness in learning mathematics is mostly not consistently involved in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Success in learning is influenced by learning motivation possessed by students. With the learning motivation students will be able to reach the maximum level in achieving a learning achievement. This can be seen from the results of the study of the effect of learning motivation on learning achievement carried out on 32 students of class VII of SMPN 4 Ngamprah as a sample. This research was conducted by giving questionnaires to students as samples. The results of the statistical calculation test using the SPSS 16.0 application showed that the reliability interpretation of the effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement was 71.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an analysis in order to determine the effect of students' self confidence in the mathematical reasoning abilities of vocational students. The method carried out by researchers is a correlational research method based on a quantitative approach, which connects the presence or absence of influence in mathematical reasoning ability with self confidence. Sampling of research conducted is as many as 20 students in one of the State Vocational Schools in Cimahi City. In this case the two influences of cognitive and affective abilities consist of tests and non-tests. The test is done by using mathematical reasoning abilities using three indicators as many as 5 items, while the non test uses a self confidence questionnaire of 20 statement scale. Based on the results that have been obtained that students' self confidence has a positive influence on the ability to think mathematical reasoning of vocational students.
