Abstract

This study developed a student graduation prediction system using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, using PS1-PS4 scores, PK, and SKS as indicators of academic progress. This model achieved 88.33% accuracy and an ROC value of 0.900, indicating superior predictive ability. These results outperform other common models such as logistic regression and the C4.5 decision tree, which have approximately 85% accuracy in predicting student graduation. These results also outperform previous research in the same field, which had ROC values of approximately 0.85.Graduation predictions were categorized as "ON TIME" and "LATE" with high precision. The Naïve Bayes algorithm has proven effective in predicting student graduation, particularly in identifying factors that influence graduation timeliness, such as poor academic performance, difficulty completing final assignments, poor personal conditions, and lack of motivation and interest.By designing a graduation prediction system using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, this research aims to help educational institutions predict student graduation timeliness and provide appropriate interventions. This system can improve educational quality and reduce dropout rates, making it an important tool for educational institutions to improve graduate quality and achieve their academic goals. This research demonstrates that the Naïve Bayes algorithm can be an effective and accurate graduation prediction method, thus helping educational institutions develop strategies to improve educational quality and reduce dropout rates. Therefore, this research has the potential to significantly impact higher education institutions and assist them in achieving their academic goals.

Abstract

This article discusses the issue of unhappiness among elderly individuals due to a lack of social support and attention from their family and immediate environment. The study aims to examine the connection between family social support and the happiness of the elderly. The research method used is quantitative, using a correlational approach. The population for the study consisted of 208 individuals, with a sample size of 68 people selected through simple random sampling. The researchers employed a Likert scale to collect data on social support and happiness. Questionnaires were used for data collection, and statistical analysis was conducted using the product moment correlation test. The results indicate a significant positive relationship (rxy = 0.648, p = 0.000) between family social support and elderly happiness. In conclusion, the study establishes that there is a direct relationship between higher levels of family social support and greater happiness among the elderly. Conversely, lower levels of family social support result in decreased happiness in the elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of the local government in increasing the competitiveness of Lampung shrimp exports to be the National Shrimp Barn. The data was obtained by reviewing several primary and secondary documents and in-depth interviews with the Head of the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries in Lampung Province. In this study, we use a quantitative approach using RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage) to find the competitiveness of Lampung shrimp export value and Diamond Porter theory to analyze the strategies in increasing the competitiveness of Lampung Shrimp Export. The results indicate that the competitiveness of Lampung shrimp exports is very strong. The strategy used by Lampung Government to increase the competitiveness of Lampung shrimp exports is by a collaboration between the central and district governments realized by providing access to capital through Kartu Petani Pintar (Smart Farmer Card), technical assistance by forming cross-sector Working Groups (Pokja), and intensive pond constructions in several areas in Lampung.
