Abstract

Farmers behavior in the purchase of fertilizers is influenced by many factors are complex and heterogeneous. Farmers' behavior can be influenced by different social, cultural and agricultural environments. Such behavior may also different between types of fertilizer. This study aimed to analyze the factors that affect farmers on the purchase amount of liquid fertilizer in approach behavior theory. This research was conducted with survey approach through interviews with a list of questions (questionnaire) of the 100 respondents onion farmer in Brebes Central Java in April-May 2015. The results of this study found that the purchases amount of liquid fertilizer influenced by income, experience, land area, the productivity of onion, the growing season, recommendations of other farmers, agricultural extension information, field trials, and recommendations of store.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest cinnamon producing country in the international market. The presence of competing countries causes competition for completed cinnamon demand in the international market. International trade requires that each country has specialization and the ability to be able to compete for existing markets. This study analyzes the competitiveness of Indonesia's cinnamon exports and the competitors (China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar) by looking at comparative and competitive advantages along with factors that can influence them. The analysis period used in this study is from 2000 to 2017. Competitiveness analysis is measured by  using the Trade Specialization Index (TSI) and Export Competitive Index (XCI) analysis methods, while the analysis of factors that can affect competitiveness performance is analyzed using the panel data regression method. The results of this study indicated that Indonesia and the competitors have comparative advantages and tend to be cinnamon exporting countries in the International Market, besides that Indonesia and competitors (China, Vietnam, and Madagascar) have competitive advantages and cinnamon exports of these countries increase from the previous year, so that the country was able to compete for cinnamon exports on the International Market. Factors that can affect the performance of the export competitiveness of cinnamon in Indonesia and competitors are productivity, market share, export prices, and domestic consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the development strategy for sago local food agroindustry in Maluku Province. The sample was taken deliberately (purposive sampling) because respondents realize the sago development in the province. The respondents, totaling 15 people, consisted of farmers, traders, and experts from several agencies, namely the Food Security Agency, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Industry and Commerce, the Department of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Micro Enterprises, Universities, and Non-Governmental Organizations. Data analysis utilized the Analytic Hierarchy Process method. The priority analysis results of sago agroindustry development strategy revealed technology as a top priority in the agroindustry development for being associated with very low and limited assistance and access to processing technology. The sago local food agroindustry development focuses on linkages between factors, sub-factors, actors, objectives, and policy scenarios. The recommended policy scenarios are preserving local food, improving technology, arranging marketing strategies, improving production facilities and infrastructure, and improving institutional systems.

Abstract

The research of technical efficiency analysis on rice Integrated Crop Management (ICM) in Bali Province had been conducted in three districts (Tabanan, Buleleng and Gianyar) involving 122 farmer samples. Simple random sampling tecnique was used to select farmer samples in two crop seasons during 2011 (wet and dry season). The research was focused to: (1) the level of technical efficiency in rice with ICM approach and (2) to analyze factors influencing its technical efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk megetahui (1) pengaruh pengetahuan dan pengalaman konsumen terhadap sikap konsumen dalam pembelian brownies Cokro Tela, (2) pengaruh sikap konsumen terhadap perilaku pembelian brownies Cokro Tela yang berbahan baku mocaf. Responden merupakan konsumen brownies Cokro Tela. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 80 orang yang diambil secara Purposive sampling.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survei. Model SEM-PLS digunakan untuk menganalisis diagram jalur antarasatu variabellaten ke variabel laten lainnya dan variabel laten ke indikatornya. Variabel laten meliputi pengetahuan, pengalaman, sikap dan perilaku pembelian pada konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap sikap, sedangkan pengalaman berpengaruh siginifikan terhadap sikap dan sikap berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku pembelian brownies Cokro Tela.

Abstract

Saat ini kecenderungan selera konsumsi masyarakat cenderung kepada produk impor berbasis terigu. Disisi lain pangan lokal seringkali dianggap sebagai makanan yang inferior dan terigu dianggap sebagai makanan superior. Peningkatan kebebasan masyarakat untuk memilih bahan pangan yang dikonsumsinya memungkinkan untuk dilakukan subtitusi pangan berbasis tepung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui atribut-atribut yang mempengaruhi pemilihan produk brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf dan mengetahui sikap konsumen terhadap brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 80 orang yang diambil secara Purposive sampling dimana responden diambil berdasarkan kriteria tertentu yaitu responden yang sudah pernah membeli dan mencoba brownies Cokro Tela. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survei. Model analisis yang digunakan yaitu Model Fishbein. Model tersebut digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi sikap konsumen terhadap atribut brownies Cokro Tela berbahan baku mocaf yang meliputi atribut campuran mocaf dan terigu, harga, varian brownies, rasa dan tekstur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa atribut yang paling mempengaruhi dalam pemilihan produk brownies Cokro Tela berbahan mocaf adalah atribut rasa (18,17) dan tekstur (17,03). Sikap konsumen terhadap keseluruhan atribut brownies Cokro Tela dianggap baik.

Abstract

Abstrak Ubikayu (Manihot esculenta Crantz) merupakan komoditi penting di Indonesia baik sebagai negara produsen keempat dunia setelah setelah Nigeria, Thailand dan Brazil juga  sebagai sumber karbohidrat pangan. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan data rentan waktu (time series) antara tahun 1999 – 2009. Adanya peningkatan produksi ubi kayu sepanjang 1971-2009 yang mencapai 22,03 juta ton. Demikian pula proyeksi hingga tahun 2020 mengalami peningkatan hingga mencapai 25,54 juta ton. Dengan adanya peningkatan ini diharapkan dapat membuka celah produksi maupun pemasaran ubi kayu di Indonesia menjadi lebih baik lagi. Pengujian secara bersama-sama (simultan) peubah yang terdiri dari stok ubi kayu akan datang, permintaan lainnya, ekspor ubi kayu, konsumsi ubi kayu, dan permintaan ubi kayu tahun lalu yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap permintaan ubikayu adalah konsumsi dan permintaan ubi kayu. Persamaan yang menduga Produksi Agroindustri Ubi Kayu yang dipengaruhi oleh Produksi Ubi Kayu sedangkan Produksi Agroindustri Ubi Kayu Tahun lalu tidak berpengaruh secara nyata Kata kunci : pendugaan, permintaan, ubi kayu   Abstract Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is important commodity of Indonesia not only as forth producer after Nigeria, Thailand, and Brazil but also as source of carbohydrate. This research will use time series data among 1999-2009. The increasing of cassava production along 1971-2009 reaching 22,03 million tons. And also the projection until 2010 increase until 25,54 million tons. By this increasing, it is expected can open fissure of production and marketing in Indonesia better than before. Simultaneously test of variable contained the coming of cassava stock, another demand, cassava export, cassava consumption, and the demand of cassava last year has significant effect toward cassava demand. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) to identify the forms of institutional and analyze interaction at the institutional organic rice agribusiness; (2) to design the institutional model in organic rice agribusiness. The study was conducted by using descriptive method. Result of the analysis showed that the profile of organic rice agribusiness institutions include: farmers, farmers' groups combined Sympathy, organic farmers cooperatives, village cooperatives, private enterprises agro-industry (CV), BPP, NGO, exporters, agro-industry company. The conditions of farmer organizations today are more cultural and mostly just to government facilities, it has not been fully geared to take advantage of economic opportunities through the use of accessibility to information technology, capital and markets necessary for the development of organic rice agribusiness and agricultural businesses.On the other hand, institutional businesses in rural areas, such as the cooperative has not fully accommodate the interests of farmers / farmer groups as a forum for technical guidance. Various farmer institution that already exist such as farmers 'groups, farmers' groups combined, the association of water user farmers are expected on the challenges ahead to revitalize themselves and institutions that currently more dominant just as container technical development and social into institutional also serve as a platform for business development legal entity or can integrate other institutions in the agribusiness chain of organic rice. Model on organic rice agribusiness institution system is based on agribusiness and institutional dimensions as well as the three pillars of the new institutional.

Abstract

Carica fruit as the main raw material for making candied carica is an endemic fruit which only grow in the Dieng Plateau of Wonosobo Regency. It causes the limitation of carica raw materials in the carica processing industry. The objective of this study is to analyze the performance of the carica candied supply chain passing through the company starting from the supply of raw materials to the carica candied products to consumers. The analytical method used is the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model. Primary data used are based on direct observation and interviews with 20 farmers of supplier respondents, historical data of CV. Yuasa Food Berkah Makmur was in November 2018-October 2019 and 25 agents/retailers. The results of the analysis of the carica candied supply chain performance indicate the responsiveness and reliability attributes have achieved the best performance (superior). Supply chain performance values on the asset management attributes reach a good position (advantage), and the cost attribute in the Cost of Good Solds (COGS) metric reaches a good position (advantage) as well as the Total Supply Chain Management Cost (TSCMS) metric that has not yet achieved good performance (parity). Abstract

Increasing tomatoes consumption which is driven by needs and desires, changes consumers’ tastes and preferences. This study aimed to determine consumers’ attitudes and preferences towards tomato’s attributes. A convenience sampling which consisted of 150 respondents in the Special Region of Yogyakarta was selected for this research. Fishbein’s Multi-attribute was used to analyze consumers’ attitude, and a conjoint analysis was employed to identify consumers’ preferences. According to the findings of this study, consumers have a favorable attitude toward tomato attributes such as freshness, color, firm texture, surface appearance, and taste. Meanwhile, the findings of the conjoint analysis revealed that the color of the tomatoes was the most favored characteristic. The most preferred combination of tomato characteristics was red color, highly fresh, firm texture, spot-free surface look, and sweetness.
