Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to overcome post-pandemic educational challenges. The Merdeka Curriculum provides students to carry out learning activities freely, which means that they can think independently, innovative, learn autonomously, and be creative. To support The Merdeka Curriculum implementation in teaching, teachers can apply differentiated learning where students can study subjects according to their abilities, preferences, and needs. However, the enthusiasm of teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum is not matched with equitable training on differentiated learning. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of differentiated learning understanding on elementary school teachers in the context of Merdeka Curriculum. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data was collected by administering questionnaires to the principals and teachers from 14 elementary schools. The questionnaires were used to measure elementary school teachers' understanding of differentiated learning, while interviews were conducted to obtain additional information regarding elementary school teachers' comprehension of differentiated learning. The data obtained is then analyzed descriptively. This study revealed that many elementary school teachers do not understand well about differentiated learning due to a lack of training and mentoring. Teachers improve their Merdeka Curriculum and differentiated learning understanding independently through the "Merdeka Mengajar" Platform. Only a few teachers apply differentiated learning because of their lack understanding. They have strong motivation to learn differentiated learning, which is inhibited by many tasks as classroom and homeroom teachers.

Abstract

The world and technology are constantly changing and developing rapidly. Every human being in various sectors is competing with each other to find new knowledge and new technology that can make human life easier. Various inter-sectoral collaborations have become a worthy and interesting finding to study because of their usefulness. One of them is the use of photographic techniques in the field of education which become a method called photovoice. The use of this method can be an alternative to learn natural sciences in elementary schools. Elementary school students are at the stage of cognitive development, namely the concrete operational stage that requires interaction with concrete objects that useful to form understanding. This is library research with a literature review method that aims to describe the meaning, benefits, method of implementation and photovoice assessment. So that later everyone can use it as learning method, especially in elementary natural science learning. Photovoice aims to gain insight because this activity is not just an activity of taking photos but also discussing them in group situations. Photovoice has many benefits which is suitable to master 21st century educational competencies, such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. Photovoice is implemented through group learning by taking photos or pictures, providing photo narration and presenting them. The photovoice assessment uses a rubric with five assessment aspects, including; specifications, composition, visuals, image quality and narration.

Abstract

Science is an activity that can improve thinking abilities. Science activities allow children to explore various objects, both living objects (living creatures) and non-living objects around them. 1st grade of elementary school students are still young children who need to strengthen their introduction to science about living things. In the teachings of Hinduism there is Tri Pramana which means three powers possessed by living creatures. This research is an descriptive-qualitative research using a literature study method which aims to describe strengthening the introduction of science about living things through the teachings of Tri Pramana (Bayu, Sabda, Idep) in 1st grade of elementary school students. Based on the research results, it was found that strengthening the introduction of science about living things through Tri Pramana teachings for 1 st grade elementary school students is an effort to increase understanding through meaningful learning strategies regarding exploration activities and simple grouping of living things, consisting of plants, animals and humans. The Eka Pramana group are organisms that only have one power in their lives (Bayu), for example plants, the Dwi Pramana group, namely organisms that have two powers in their lives (Bayu, Sabda), for example animals, and the Tri Pramana group, namely organisms that in his life he has three powers (Bayu, Sabda, Idep), an example of which is humans.

Abstract

One of the most important methods in Natural Sciences learning is practicum. The problem faced by the Department of Primary School Teacher Education, I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa State Hindu University, Denpasar, is that the implementation of science practicums has not been optimal due to the absence of science practicum guides and facilities. The solution to this problem is developing practicum implementation by providing practicum guides that are able to facilitate existing limitations. This research uses research and development methods that aims to develop a science practicum guide starting from exploring science material to developing a YouTube-based science practicum guide to enhance student practicum implementation. Results showed that the validity test results gained validity score of 89% which means valid. After being applied to students, they also received responses in the categories of strongly agree and agree. Thus, showed that the practicum guide utilizable as a supplement in teaching materials so as to support the improvement of practicum implementation among students.

Abstract

Di era Revolusi Industri 4.0, kemampuan literasi dan numerasi menjadi kunci untuk menjadi individu yang berdaya saing. Oleh karena itu sejak diberlakukan Kurikulum Merdeka oleh pemerintah Indonesia, kemampuan literasi dan numerasi dijadikan sebagai salah satu tolok ukur kualitas satuan pendidikan. Namun, masih banyak ditemukan satuan pendidikan khususnya di sekolah dasar yang hasil asesmen literasi dan numerasinya masih belum memuaskan. Salah satunya di SD Negeri 5 Mas, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan kepala SD Negeri 5 Mas menyatakan bahwa siswa di satuan pendidikan tersebut masih perlu mendapatkan bimbingan dan pendampingan agar kemampuan literasi berkembang optimal. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka tim pengabdian terdorong untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian di SD Negeri 5 Mas, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pengukuran gain skor hasil terhadap hasil pretes dan postes. Hasilnya rerata gain skor yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 0,63 (sedang).

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is facing post-Covid-19 Pandemic conditions. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum is important in the context of post-pandemic learning recovery. In its implementation, the Independent Curriculum emphasizes mastery of minimum competency assessments rooted in the ability to reason using language (literacy). This study aims to describe the development of children's literacy through the science story reading method. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of the study were grade IV students of SD Negeri 2 Penatih. Data were obtained through interviews, observations and document studies related to the science story reading method applied in the school. The collected data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman Model which consists of the data collection stage, data reduction stage, data presentation stage and conclusion drawing stage and data verification. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the science story reading method consisted of three activities, namely; (1) understanding the meaning of reading stories, (2) understanding story elements and (3) practicing reading stories guided by student worksheets (LKS). The science story reading method applied was able to develop children's literacy. This can be proven through the high level of student interaction in learning and learning outcomes through LKS that were completed well. Through the method of reading science stories, students are invited to practice reasoning about science so that it can later have an impact on increasing their understanding.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan mekanisme sistematis yang bertujuan mengoptimalkan potensi manusia melalui transmisi pengetahuan dan kompetensi lintas generasi. Dalam konteks rehabilitasi pembelajaran pasca-pandemi, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek menjadi solusi strategis untuk mengatasi tantangan di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan aplikasi model proyek pada subjek IPAS kelas IV di SD Negeri 7 Pedungan Denpasar, menjelaskan implikasinya terhadap proses pembelajaran siswa, serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dan inisiatif yang dilakukan. Sekolah tersebut dipilih karena variasi siswa dan eksploitasi bahan recycle dalam proyek. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus digunakan, didasarkan pada teori konstruktivisme, humanistik, dan struktural fungsional. Informan dipilih via teknik purposive, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran proyek meningkatkan komprehensi konsep, motivasi intrinsik, dan partisipasi siswa. Siswa menunjukkan aktivitas yang lebih tinggi, semangat yang besar, serta tanggung jawab dalam penyelesaian proyek. Akan tetapi, proses ini dihadapkan pada kendala seperti defisiensi waktu dan insufisiensi sumber daya. Guru mengatasi hal ini dengan mapping pemahaman siswa dan refleksi pembelajaran untuk menyesuaikan pendekatan yang lebih tepat sasaran.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth (1) the implementation of the outdoor learning method through the use of the environment as a learning resource in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in grade IV of Candra Kasih Elementary School, North Denpasar District, (2) the obstacles and efforts faced in implementing the method, and (3) its impact on the learning process and outcomes of students. The background of this study is the low involvement and motivation to learn due to the dominance of the lecture method which makes learning passive and less contextual. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, documentation, and literature study techniques. The research subjects consisted of homeroom teachers and students. Data analysis refers to the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification based on the pattern of findings and source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of outdoor learning through the use of the school environment provides a contextual and enjoyable learning experience, and increases the active involvement of students. The environment is used as a concrete learning resource that connects the IPAS concept with everyday life through exploration of the school area and the use of real objects. This approach improves conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and reflection. Obstacles that arose included time constraints, teacher preparedness in designing outdoor activities, and weather conditions. Efforts included thorough planning, collaboration with colleagues, and adapting activities to field conditions. Overall, the outdoor learning method had a positive impact on students' learning motivation, observation skills, and understanding of science concepts.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sulangai masih tergolong rendah akibat pembelajaran yang didominasi metode ceramah, kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif, serta belum mengaitkan materi dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, diperlukan penerapan model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sulangai melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 21 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sulangai. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan observasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 68,10 pada siklus I menjadi 80,71 pada siklus II, serta peningkatan persentase ketuntasan belajar dari 61,90% menjadi 85,71%. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dengan pendekatan kontekstual efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sulangai.

Abstract

Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar merupakan mata pelajaran yang membantu siswa memahami fenomena alam dan sosial di lingkungan sekitar. Namun, hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SDN 5 Singakerta masih rendah karena kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran dan penggunaan media yang menarik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menerapkan model (PBL) berbantuan media diorama berbahan daur ulang untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning berbantuan media diorama berbahan daur ulang terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SDN 5 Singakerta Kecamatan Ubud Gianyar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis pre-eksperimen dan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis Paired Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan hasil belajar IPAS siswa setelah diterapkan model Problem-Based Learning berbantuan media diorama berbahan daur ulang. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis yang memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Problem-Based Learning berbantuan media diorama berbahan daur ulang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SDN 5 Singakerta Kecamatan Ubud Gianyar.
