Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the crucial role of field supervision in enhancing worker engagement and productivity within construction projects. While technological solutions dominate industry improvements, the human aspect of supervision remains understudied despite its significant impact on project outcomes. Through analysis of six key peer-reviewed articles focusing on construction supervision, worker engagement, and productivity published between 2015-2025, this study synthesizes current understanding of effective supervisory practices. Results reveal that successful field supervision depends on three interconnected dimensions: leadership approach, communication effectiveness, and relationship management skills. The findings demonstrate that servant leadership significantly improves both safety compliance and worker engagement, while structured training programs enhance supervisor competencies. The development of measurement tools like PAW-CON represents a notable advancement in quantifying supervisor-worker relationships and identifying workplace psychological factors. The study highlights how technical expertise must be balanced with human-centered leadership skills for optimal supervision outcomes. This review advances both theoretical understanding and practical applications in construction management by providing evidence-based recommendations for developing effective supervisory practices that enhance worker engagement and project productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to bridge the inconsistency found in previous research regarding the role of transformational leadership on employee performance by proposing a conceptual model derived from the perspective of Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory. The study involved 200 respondents who have worked for five years in a financial company located in Semarang City, Central Java. Statistical data analysis was conducted using Analysis Moment of Structural (AMOS) software. Empirical testing through the formulation of five hypotheses yielded significant and acceptable results. The main findings of this study highlight the crucial role of psychological capital, viewed through the lens of COR Theory, as an effective bridge that stimulates the influence of transformational leadership on enhancing employee performance. Therefore, companies are encouraged to allocate resources to develop and strengthen employees' psychological capital, which includes self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience. This study confirms that psychological capital is a strategic asset that can be optimized to support the success of transformational leadership, ultimately contributing to improved productivity and the overall competitive advantage of employees.

Abstract

Access to affordable and safe financial services is a key determinant of economic participation and growth. However, some part of the Indonesian population is still unbanked. The financial inclusion index in 2023 was only 75.02%. This gap in financial access creates challenges and opportunities to achieve broader economic goals. Digital banking is present as a transformative solution to expand financial access in more inclusive manner that benefits underserved groups, including rural communities, low-income populations, and MSMEs. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to examine the role, strategies, innovations, and challenges of digital banking in driving financial inclusion. Case studies from Kenya, India, and Peru show how digital banking has a positive impact on financial inclusion through various innovations such as mobile banking and digital payment platforms. Some of the challenges hindering the realization of digital banking include limited digital infrastructure, low financial and digital literacy, regulatory barriers, cybersecurity risks, and lack of public trust. The research findings highlight the need for collaborative efforts between governments, financial institutions and technology providers to build an inclusive and secure digital financial ecosystem.

This study aims to examine the role of inclusive leadership in fostering innovation to enhance organizational performance. Using a saturated sampling technique, data were collected from 110 managers of the Borobudur National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) in Central Java, Indonesia. The research employs the SEM-PLS approach to analyze structural equation modeling and predict the research model for theoretical development. The findings contribute to advancements in Dynamic Capabilities Theory by demonstrating that: (1) inclusive leadership and absorptive capacity positively influence exploitative innovation capabilities; (2) exploitative innovation capabilities positively affect both organizational and innovation performance; (3) exploitative innovation capabilities mediate the relationship between inclusive leadership and organizational performance; (4) absorptive capacity positively influences innovation performance; and (5) innovation performance positively impacts organizational performance. These insights provide valuable implications for developing sustainable tourism destinations through leadership and innovation strategies.
