Abstract

Instant noodle consumption has increased every year, both in Indonesia and worldwide. Ease of consumption, good taste, and the ability to be incorporated into various foods make instant noodles very popular with the public. Various instant noodle brands are also required to continue innovating to avoid losing market share. One of the brands known to Indonesians is Mie Sedaap. This study aims to determine the effect of brand awareness, brand image, brand loyalty, and perceived quality on repurchase intention in consumers of Mie Sedaap products in Central Java. The sampling technique in this study was purposive, with 162 respondents who were consumers of Mie Sedap in Central Java. The results of the study indicate that brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, that brand loyalty has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, and that perceived quality has a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention. However, brand image has a negative and significant effect on the repurchase intention of Mie Sedaap consumers in Central Java. These results indicate that Mie Sedaap needs to pay attention to its image, which can be achieved by improving the quality of its products to meet consumer expectations better.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities often experience limited access to productive economic opportunities due to social stigma, inadequate skills, and weak systemic support. This community engagement program aims to strengthen economic and food self-reliance among persons with disabilities through a circular economy approach based on regionally superior commodities, supported by an inclusive digital campaign. A participatory–collaborative method was employed, encompassing local commodity identification, skills training in salak processing, maggot cultivation, Elba chicken–based urban farming, intensive mentoring, and digital outreach. The results demonstrate substantial improvements in participants’ capacities, particularly in maggot production skills (from 30% to 80%) and food self-sufficiency (from 20% to 60%), alongside increased public awareness of the economic potential of persons with disabilities. Although the digital campaign remains at an initial dissemination stage, the program exhibits strong sustainability potential in promoting inclusive, locally grounded economic empowerment.

Abstract

Micro-enterprises focusing on food security, particularly in the context of urban farming, play a vital role in the local economy. However, many micro-enterprises in this sector face significant challenges, including limited business management capacity, scarce resources, and insufficient technical knowledge related to efficient and sustainable agricultural practices. This community engagement program aims to enhance the capacity of micro-enterprises through the application of integrated farming and circular economy approaches to improve efficiency, sustainability, and product competitiveness. Implemented through a strategic partnership with Fita Farm an organization with expertise in integrated agriculture and community empowerment the program involves training, hands-on mentoring, and continuous evaluation to develop a more efficient and sustainable micro-enterprise model. Furthermore, it targets tangible outcomes such as scientific publications, video documentation, and the acquisition of intellectual property rights (IPR) for innovations developed during the program. Ultimately, the expected outcomes include improved business management capacity, increased income, and greater resilience and sustainability of micro-enterprises in facing economic challenges.
