Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Ericaceae family has benefit as medicines and ornamental plants, because several types of the Ericaceae family have very attractive colors, fruits and flower shapes, besides that they have important ecological and economic values. This study aims to determine the types and morphology of the Ericaceae family in the Sicikeh-cikeh Lake Nature Tourism Park Lae Hole Village Parbuluan District Dairi Regency Sumatera Utara. This research were conducted in October - January 2020 using the exploration methods, namely by exploring along the path of the research location. The results of studies that have been carried out found 7 types of family Ericaceae, such as 4 of the genus Rhododendron, 1 of the genus Vaccinium, 1 of the genus Diplycosia, and 1 of the genus Cavendishia. The types of the Ericaceae family were found in this study had the same morphology, which has a taproot. The shape of the stem was round, and the direction grows perpendicular (erectus). The leaves are single leaves. Flowers including majmuk flowers, (terminal), and has flower parts, namely the crown of flowers, stamens and pistil. Abstract

This study aims to determine the type, abundance, and frequency of dragonflies (Odonata) in the Lake Sicikeh-cikeh Nature Tourism Park, Lae Hole Village, Parbuluan District, North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted in November 2019. This research used the Exploration method. Observations were made at three stations. Data obtained from the field are processed manually, after the data is collected, processed, then presented in the form of a table and described descriptively. The results showed an abundance of dragonflies in Lake Sicikeh-Cikeh Nature Tourism Park categorized as moderate diversity. The highest abundance of dragonflies is found in the species of Neurothemis fluctuans Fabricius with a relative abundance of 37.17%. The highest relative frequency is found in species of Pseudagrion microcephalum Rambur, Neurothemis fluctuans Fabricius, and Rhodothemis rufa Rambur with a relative abundance value of 15%.Keywords:  diversity, dragonflies, lake sicikeh-cikeh nature tourism park

Abstract

The study aims to know the worthiness of liquid organic fertilizer derived from carrot waste, knowing the effect that liquid organic fertilizer derived from carrot waste has on the growth and output of the pepper plant (Capsicum annum L.) and to find out how much organic fertilizer sewage does to the growth and output of the pepper plant (Capsicum annum L.). the methods used in this study are full random design (RAL) in this study using 5 treatment and 5 times Deuteronomy with 0% treatment as control treatment B 5%, treatment C 10%, treatment D 15%, and treatment E 20%. The parameters used were the height of the plant, the number of leaves, the number of branches, the number of flowers and the number of fruits. Data results from the analysis using statistical product and service solutions (SPSS) version 23. Results showed content found in the organic fertilizer of carrot waste C-organic (0.86%), Nitrogen (1.14%), Phospor (0.01%), potassium (0.18%), and c/n ratio (0.76%). Studies already conducted can be proved that giving organic fertilizer in carrot waste at 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% affecting the plant’s heighest average value of the plant 5% is 36.5, the highest rate of leaves at 5% concentrations of 38.6, the highest rate of branches at 15% concentration of 11.8, the highest rate of interest at 5% concentration of 11, and the amount of fruit with an average value at 8.giving the most optimal amount of organic fertilizer from carrot waste at 5% and 15%.

Abstract

Lianas are a unique group of climbing plant species that are characteristic of tropical rainforests. This species has important ecological and economic value. This study aims to find out information about the composition and structure and diversity index of lianas. The research method used is a quadratic method with 10 plots laid out by purposive sampling. The results showed that the composition of lianas consisted of 22 families, 31 species and 414 individuals. The highest Importance Value Index in Amydrium humile Schott (INP 23, 145%), where as liana species with the lowest of Value index was Stephania sp. (INP 2, 343%). The diversity index of lianas is in the medium category, with the H’ 2.965.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of species of plants that have the potential as ornamental plants in Mount Sibuatan, Nagalingga Village, Brand District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. This study uses a single plot method by means of purposive sampling. The results of research that have been conducted at Mount Sibuatan, Nagalingga Village, Brand District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, obtained 31 species, namely Amydrium humile Schott, Epipremnum pinnatum (L.) Engl, Pinnata sp, Dianella ensifolia (L.) Redout, Aspelnium nidus L, Asplenium normale D. Don, Sphaeropteris polypoda (Baker) RM Tryon, Calystegia sp, Tripterospermum trinerve Blume, Aeschynanthus pulcher (Blume) G. Don, Codonoboea crinita (Jack) CLLim, Hypnodendron sp, Huperzia phlegmaria (L.) Rothm, Medinilla beamanii Regalado, Anoectochilus longicalcaratus JJSm, Ceratostylis subulata Blume, Coelogyne xyrekes Ridl, Erythrodes blumei (Lindl.) Schltr, Mesophlebion motleyanum (Hook) Holttum, Freycinetia javanica Blume, Davallia denticulata (Burm.f.) pumila (Blume) Fern.Vill, Argostemma involucratum Hemsl, Argostemma parvifolium Benn, Mycetia angustifolia Ridl, Selaginella caudata (Desv.) Spring, Cayratia mollissima (Wall.) Gagnep, Gl obba marantina L and Hedychium cylincdricum Ridl. The Diversity Index of potential ornamental plants on Mount Sibuatan is categorized as medium with a value of 1.623, which is those with stable communities. The potential plant habitats for ornamental plants that are obtained are grouped into 3 types, namely habistus liana, terrestrial and epiphytic.

Abstract

This reserch aims to determine the effect of TGT (Team Games Tounament) learning with the explosion box media on the human excretion system material on student learning outcomes of class XI MA Al-Mukhlishin Batu Bara. This type of research is quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental. The instrument in this study was in the form of an objective test or multiple choice of 20 questions. Data analysis in this study was a paired simple t-test with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software version 22. By looking at the significance value, namely if Sig (2-tailed) 0.05. as for the results found is the sig value. 2-tailed 0.00 0.05 with a value of t-count t-table, namely 23.38 2.01, which means that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is an effect of TGT (team games tournaments) learning with the media explosion box on the human excretion system material on the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA Ma Al-Mukhlishin Batu Bara.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran TGT (Team Games Tounament) dengan media explosion box pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MA Al-Mukhlishin Batu Bara. jenis penelitian ini kuasi experimen atau eksperimen semu. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini dalam bentuk tes objektif atau pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal. Analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah uji paired simple t-test dengan bantuan sofware Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) versi 22. dengan melihat nilai signifikansinya yaitu jika Sig (2-tailed) 0,05. adapun hasil yang ditemukan adalah nilai sig. 2-tailed 0,00 0,05 dengan nilai t-hitung t-tabel yaitu 23,38 2,01 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences between NHT) and STAD learning outcomes of clas VII Biology MTs Madinatussalam. The sample of this research is class VII-1 with 32 student as NHT class and 32 student in VII-2 as STAD class. The instrument used in this study was a multiple choice test concisting of 20 questions. The results of analysis showed that the average post-test score for the experimental class I NHT was 82 very high category. Meanwhile, the experimental class II STAD the average post-test score was 67,2 high category. The hypothesis test of the difference in learning outcomes of students in expremental class I NHT and expremental class II STAD, obtained tcount = 6,036ttable = 1.999, then Ho is rejected and Ha is acepted. This shows that there is a difference in the biology lerning out comes of student who are thought using NHT learning method and those taught using the STAD learning method.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan model pembelajaran NHT dan model pembelajaran STAD terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VII MTs di MTs Madinatussalam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-1 berumlah 32 orang sebagai kelas NHT dan VII-2 berjumlah 32 orang sebagai kelas STAD. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari 20 soal. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata nilai post-test kelas eksperimen I (NHT) adalah 82 (kategori sangat tinggi). Sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen II (STAD) diperoleh rata-rata nilai post-test sebesar 67,2 (kategori tinggi). Uji hipotesis perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas eksperiment I dan eksprimen II, diperoleh thitung = 6,036 ttabel = 1,999, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan hasil belajar biologi siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran NHT dengan yang dijarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran STAD.Kata kunci: biologi, hasil belajar, NHT, STAD DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v9i3.22987

Abstract

Pupuk organik sangat bermanfaat bagi peningkatan produksi pertanian baik kualitas maupun kuantitas, mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan, dan meningkatkan kualitas lahan. Pupuk organik umumnya dihasilkan dari proses pengomposan. Alternatif bahan organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pupuk organik adalah eceng gondok. Enceng gondok banyak ditemukan di Desa Jentera Kecamatan Wampu Kabupaten Langkat. Perkembangbiakannya yang cepat menyebabkan masalah di perairan terutama pada saluran parit. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pemanfaatan eceng gondok sebagai alternatif pembuatan kompos. Kata kunci: Enceng Gondok, Kompos
