Abstract

This research aimed (1) to produce thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery to improve critical thinking and scientific attitude of grade IV students of SDN Margoyasan, and (2) to know the effectiveness of the developed learning module. The research was Research and development of Borg and Gall model which consisted of ten steps. The data were collected by interview, product evaluation, questionnaires, observation, and examination. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with significant level of 0.05. The research result were (1) thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery. The product feasibility that was assessed based on material expert, media expert, teacher’s and student’s responses was very feasible. (2) The results of field trial test showed that the developed thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery was effective to improve the student’s critical thinking and scientific attitude, and it was based on the operational field trial test which obtained p0.05, means that there are significant differences on students who were taught by using the developed learning module compare to student who were not taught by using the developed learning module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model collaborative learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA SD Negeri se-Gugus I Caturtunggal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model collaborative learning berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar  dan motivasi siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA daripada menggunakan model cooperative script. Hasil analisis uji beda hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen 1 diperoleh perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 4,51. Hasil analisis uji beda motivasi belajar siswa antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen diperoleh perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 4,76. Hasil analisis uji beda hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen 2 diperoleh perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 1,19. Hasil analisis uji beda motivasi belajar siswa antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen 2 diperoleh perbedaan rata-rata sebesar 2,68. Hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model collaborative learning dapat digunakan siswa pada pembelajaran IPA SD untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata Kunci: collaborative learning, motivasi, dan hasil belajar The effects of collaborative learning model on increasing student’s motivation and achievement of the fourth grade of elementary schoolAbstractThis research aimed to describe the effects of collaborative learning model to increase motivation and achievement of the fourth grade students of Elementary School se-Gugus I Caturtunggal. This research was a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest control design. The results of the research show that the model of collaborative learning has more positive and significant effects on the increasing of student’s motivation and achievement on  science subjects than using a cooperative script model. The analysis results show a different increasing of student’s motivation and achievement between the control group and the experimental group 1, with the difference in average of 4.5. The results of the analysis of student’s learning motivation difference test between the control group and experimental group 1 with the average difference of 4.76. The analysis results show a different increasing of student’s motivation and achievement between the control group and the experimental group 2 with the difference in average of 1.19. The results of the analysis of student’s learning motivation difference test bet ween the control group and experimental group 1 with the average difference of 2.68. From the results of the research it can be concluded that the application of the model of collaborative learning can be used in the sciece learning process for elementary schools to enhance students motivation and achievement.Keywords: collaborative learning, learning motivation, and learning achievement

Abstract

Science process skills are one of the demands of new skills needed by students in the 21st century. One of the learning models that can sharpen science process skills is the predict-observe-explain (POE) model. Heretofore, research related to science process skills with POE model in understanding human digestive system material is still minimal. Therefore, this research needs to be done. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the POE model on improving students'  science process skills. This study used a quasy experiment, and research design of the matching only pretest-posttest design. This study's population was all VIII students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia, in 2020/2021 academic. The sample in this study used a cluster random sampling technique, so that this study used 60 students as the research sample. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and observation sheets of science process skills. Data analysis in this study consisted of two, namely the N-Gain test and hypothesis testing using the independent samples t-test test. The results showed that the results of the N-Gain test in the experimental class were 0.66 (medium category), while the control class is a score of 0.34 (medium category). Meanwhile, The results of the research on the independent samples t-test on science process skills are the sig value. 0.000, p0,05. This implies that POE model facilitates in improving students' science process skills on human digestive system

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi pupuk organik cair terhadap luas bukaan mulut stomata dan produktivitas tanaman kacang panjang (Vigna sinensis L.) dengan pemaparan suara garengpung termanipulasi pada frekuensi 4.500 Hz. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2016 hingga Juni 2016 di green house lantai 4 Laboratorium Biologi, FMIPA UNY. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 120 benih tanaman kacang panjangvarietas Sabuk Ijo dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 tanaman yang diambil secara acak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan variasi konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yaitu 0 cc/l, 2 cc/l, 2,5 cc/l, 3 cc/l, 3,5 cc/l dan 4 cc/l pada tanaman yang terpapar gelombang  suara garengpung termanipulasi pada frekuensi 4.500 Hz. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini antara lain luas bukaan mulut stomata, aktivitas nitrat reduktase dan produktivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi pupuk organik cair tidak berpengaruh terhadap produkivitas tanaman kacang panjang dan pemberian gelombang suara berpengaruh terhadap luas bukaan mulut stomata daun. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang terbaik untuk produktivitas tanaman kacang panjang adalah 3,5 cc/l. Kata kunci: kacang panjang (Vigna sinensis L.), pupuk organik cair, suara garengpung termanipulasi, produktivitas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyiraman air kolam hasil biodegradasi daun oleh keong mas (Pomacea canaliculata L.) terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens) dan mengetahui konsentrasi optimum N, P, K yang terkandung pada hasil biodegradasi daun oleh keong mas yang berukuran 5 cm, 4 cm, 3 cm dan 2 cm terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman cabai rawit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Mei 2016 di Kebun Biologi FMIPA UNY. Penyiraman berasal dari air hasil pemeliharaan keong dengan ukuran tiap bak yaitu A=5cm, B=4cm, C=3cm dan D=2cm. Air tersebut diuji kandungan N, P, dan K di BPTP. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyiraman hasil biodegradasi daun oleh keong mas memberikan pengaruh signifikan pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun 7 hst, 14 hst, 21 hst, panjang akar, bobot basah dan bobot kering. Namun penyiraman hasil biodegradasi tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan pada jumlah daun 28 hst dan 35 hst serta kadar klorofil total. Penyiraman hasil biodegradasi daun oleh keong mas yang berukuran 5 cm, berat 210gr/10 keong dengan konsentrasi N 0,010%, P 0,005% K 0,045% memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar, bobot basah, dan bobot kering tanaman cabai rawit.Kata kunci: Biodegradasi, keong mas, ukuran keong, cabai rawit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui pengaruh media tanam lumut yang mengandung unsur hara terhadap parameter pertumbuhan tanaman sawi hijau. (2) Mengetahui pengaruh media tanam lumut yang mengandung unsur hara terhadap parameter produksi tanaman sawi hijau. (3) Mengetahui komposisi jenis media mana yang memberikan hasil paling baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi sawi hijau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang dilakukan pada April-Juni 2016 di Green House Kebun Biologi FMIPA UNY. Media tanam sawi hijau berasal dari kombinasi lumut, sekam, dan cocopeat. Berbagai media tanam tersebut diuji kandungan N, P, K, C-Organik, Kadar air, dan pH-nya di BPTP DIY. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media tanam lumut dan kombinasinya memberikan pengaruh signifikan ditunjukkan dengan nilai α 0.05 pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot basah, dan bobot kering. Akan tetapi media tanam lumut dan kombinasinya memberikan pengaruh yang tidak signinifkan (α 0.05) pada tanaman sawi hijau untuk parameter kadar klorofil total. Media tanam B dengan campuran lumut+arang sekam dengan kandungan N 0,42%; P 226 mg; K 190 mg; C-Organik 5.27%; Kadar air 24.66%; dan pH 6.67 memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman dan kadar klorofil total. Media tanam D dengan campuran lumut + cocopeat  dengan kandungan N 0.49 %; P 205 mg; K 181 mg; C-Organik 7.94%; Kadar air 38.36%; dan pH 6.32 memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter bobot basah dan bobot kering. Media tanam A dengan komposisi lumut memiliki kandungan N 0,6%; P 210 mg; K 56 mg; C-Organik 4,48%; Kadar air 22.52%; dan pH 6.62 memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter jumlah daun.Kata kunci: Lumut, media tanam, pertumbuhan, sawi hijau

Abstract

The improvement of students critical thinking skill can be carried out in using innovative teaching material to achieve competence acquired. The aims of this research is to know the appropriateness accuracy, and effectiveness of flipped Classroom based E-module on circulation system material at XI SMA. The researcher uses R & D methodology with ADDIE development model through the stages. Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation The research subject is from the material scholars and media scholars. The instrument that used in this research are questionnaire, data analysis, that uses Likert scale. The results of this research indicates that the product  is appropriately used to based on the material scholars and media scholars with the number is 97,91% (very appropriate) and the assessment of media scholar with the number 91,25% (very appropriate) based on the biology teacher assessment that E-Module is practical to use it with the number 100% (very practically) and the results of test little scare with the number 89,06% (very practical), and effective to improve students critical thinking skill based on N-gain score with 0.58 score.

Abstract

The objective  of the research  is to investigate  the effect of the Acasia mangium  L leaves rubbish  compost  on the growth and production  of peanut.The  peanut    used    is gajah  variety.  The Acasia  mangium   L leaves rubbish  compost   was  used  for  the  treatment   materials     given  since   the seedling  time.  The  compost   was  mixed  with  the  soil    used  for  planting media.  This  research   applied  the  Completely   Randomized   Design  (CRD). The independent  variables  consisted  of six levels i.e 0,10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 grams compost  per  polibag,  each five replications.  The dependent  variables are height, fresh weight,  dry weight  at the end of the vegetative  growth,  and the sum of the  fruit  is counted  after  harvest.  The data  were analyzed  using the analysis of variants  (anova),The  result  of  the  research   indicates  that  after    receiving  treatment,the height, fresh weight,  and dry weight  of peanut,  on 30, 40, and 50 grams proportion  of the  compost  weight  are  significant  (p<0.05).  The  sum  of the ghost on 40 and 50 grams proportion  of compost  weight,  shows a significant result (p<0.05).  The combination   of the height, fresh weight, and dry weight parameters     on  30,  40,  and  50  grams  compost   weight,   shows   value   of growth better than with other treatments.Key words: composting, growth, and production

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on critical thinking skills in excretory system subject. The research was quasi experimental research by using pretest postest control group design. The population of this research was all students of SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan. The research sample of this research used two classes, class XII MIPA 4 with 27 students as the control class and class XII MIPA 3 with 31 students as the experimental class implementing problem based learning. Data were collected by using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The data obtained were analyzed using the Independent sample T-test. The calculation results showed a significant value of 0,000 < 0,05, thus, it can be concluded that there was a difference in the critical thinking skills between the control and experimental class.

Abstract

Enhancing Science Process Skills and Self-Regulation: Is It Better To Use Inquiry Interactive Demonstration Model?. Objectives: This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the inquiry interactive demonstration model to improve students' science process skills and self-regulation. Methods:  This study used a Quasy Experiment, and research design of The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Design. This study's population was all 8th-grade students of Junior High School 19 of Bandar Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia, and used a sample of 60 students. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics with Multivariate statistical test (Mannova test). Findings: The result of the Multivariate statistical test of the students’ science process skills was Sig. = 0.000, p<0.05). Meanwhile, The result of the Multivariate statistical test of the students’ self-regulation was Sig. = 0.000, p<0.05).
