Abstract

The Differences in framing news for the Indonesia National Team Winning the AFF U-22 Cup on Youtube Channel Metro TV and TV One before the 2019 Presidentian Election. This study aims to describe how the differences in franing news carried out by the two media are related to issues of appreciation and meetings President Jokowi with the U-22 National Team. The research method is descriptive qualitative with the Pan and Kosicki framing analysis. These results of this study indicate that the news presented by Metro TV on the youtube channel wants to povide a positive image of the government, especially Jokowi’s figure as a president who cares about Indonesia football by looking at the syntacsis and rhetorical structure of Metro TV news. Meanwhile, TV One on its YouTube channel emphasizes the U-22 national team’s struggle to win the AFF championship and focuses on facing the next tournaments.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the strategy used by RRI Pro 2 Surakarta in attracting listeners, especially young listeners. The method in this research is descriptive, using a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the study and discussion, it can conclude that RRI Pro 2 Surakarta broadcasts on 105.5 FM have the power to develop strategies to attract listeners, namely, by 1) utilizing a wide broadcast range, 2) from the aspect of broadcast programs, RRI Pro 2 Surakarta using a clock format system that distinguishes morning, afternoon, evening, and night activities whose composition adjusts to the listener's lifestyle at certain hours, 3) from the contents of the RRI Pro 2 Surakarta program, some agendas are packaged by involving listeners, 4) in an approach through On social media, RRI Pro 2 Surakarta utilizes the WhatsApp Blast system, a system where RRI Pro 2 Surakarta sends the theme of the event to be discussed to listeners whose contacts are on Pro 2 FM, 5) holds on-air and off-air activities involving listeners. Apart from these five aspects, another strategy for RRI Pro 2 Surakarta to attract young listeners is to take advantage of existing opportunities to create exciting and valuable broadcast programs. That is part of the strategy in developing its broadcast targets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dinamika interaksi antarbudaya antara mahasiswa lokal dan luar daerah di Kota Solo, yang dikenal sebagai kota budaya. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini menggambarkan bentuk-bentuk komunikasi, tantangan, serta strategi adaptasi yang terjadi dalam lingkungan kampus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi pada mahasiswa dari berbagai daerah yang sedang menempuh pendidikan tinggi di Solo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat perbedaan budaya yang signifikan, mahasiswa mampu membentuk jembatan komunikasi melalui akulturasi, empati, dan kesamaan tujuan akademik. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya pembinaan kesadaran budaya dalam menciptakan iklim pendidikan yang inklusif dan harmonis.

Abstract

Desa Kismoyoso merupakan sentra jamu tradisional di Boyolali Jawa Tengah. Dalam pemasaran, perajin masih menggunakan cara konvensional dan belum menggunakan model penjualan online. Para perajin juga belum melakukan upaya promosi agar penjualan bertambah. Untuk meningkatkan pendapatan, hal yang sudah dilakukan adalah menambah varian produk berupa makanan kecil atau snack. Di satu sisi, penambahan varian produk menjadi daya tarik untuk pembeli, namun di sisi lain metode ini menjadikan perajin tidak fokus pada pengembangan minuman kesehatan sebagai spesialisasi keahlian yang mereka miliki dan para leluhur, serta riskan beralih produk jualan, sesuai yang lebih diminati pasar. Pelatihan tentang komunikasi pemasaran terpadu atau Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) diharapkan dapat membantu perajin dalam meningkatkan pendapatan. Hasilnya, perajin jamu mendapatkan pengetahuan baru mengenai pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai upaya promosi produk dan penggunaan brosur sebagai media promosi pendukung.

Abstract

In a dynamic and ever-evolving digital era, the tourism industry faces the challenge of adapting and innovating to maintain its appeal. In this context, an effective branding strategy becomes crucial. Using or utilising competitive multimedia is one of the keys to achieving this goal. This research investigates the potential for integration between branding strategies through competitive multimedia and community empowerment in developing the tourism industry. Results show that when applied appropriately, competitive multimedia can strengthen identity, increase visibility, and deepen visitors' emotional engagement with tourism destinations. However, some technical challenges must be overcome, especially regarding the quality of promotional content. To overcome the problem, the proposed solution involves local communities deeply understanding the region's cultural richness and uniqueness in content production. With adequate training and access to the appropriate tools, communities can create content that is not only high quality but also authentic and rich in local narratives. Thus, this approach improves branding quality and promotes inclusive and sustainable tourism development. The main conclusion from this research is that the combination of multimedia technology and community empowerment can be a cutting-edge strategy for branding and promoting the tourism industry in the current digital era.

Abstract

Stunting is a problem that requires joint efforts. Stunting is a growth disorder due to chronic malnutrition that can have long-term impacts on children's physical health and cognitive development. Kalijirak Village, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar, Central Java, faces this challenge with a significant prevalence of toddler stunting. To address this problem, the village health TV program was launched as one of the intervention efforts. This program aims to increase public awareness and knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, and good sanitation, especially for pregnant women and children during the first thousand days of life. Village health TV is an effective communication medium to disseminate health information to the community, especially in areas difficult for health workers to reach. This program educates families about stunting prevention through informative and practical videos adapted to local conditions. With a community-based approach, this program is expected to reduce the prevalence of stunting and improve the health of toddlers in the village, ultimately impacting future generations' quality of life.

Abstract

Online media is now the most widely consumed media by the public regarding its speed. Online media prioritizes speed. However, the pursuit of speed sometimes causes news in online media to not comply with the journalistic code of ethics, especially regarding accuracy, balance, and objectivity, when presenting a fact or information. Implementing a code of ethics for journalistic processes and products is essential so that the public gets correct information, is not biased, and is free from interests and prejudices. Implementing a journalistic code of ethics is vital concerning the power of the media in influencing public opinion and behavior. This study aimed to determine the implementation of the journalistic code of ethics regarding reporting on the Russian invasion of Ukraine on CNNIndonesia.com. The data analyzed were the news presented in the 17 February to 3 March 2022 editions. The data processing stage involved evaluating news samples and then conducting a reliability test by two coders. The assessment results were then recorded in a table to be described descriptively. The research found that not all of the news presented by CNNIndonesia.com about the Russian invasion of Ukraine complies with the journalistic code of ethics. There were still some news stories that added journalists' personal opinions or opinions; only showing sources as one party in the news involving two parties; and there are still errors in writing words, names of sources, names of cities, and names of countries.
