Abstract

It is undeniable that most young people in Indonesia are less proficient in speaking. Based on this, this study looks at how the effectiveness of paper puppet media in improving speaking skills with a population, namely X grade students of MA Nihayatul Amal Purwasari which amounted to 134 and samples of X MIPA and X IPS which amounted to 67 students. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi Experimental Design which divides the subjects into treatment groups (X MIPA) and control groups (X IPS ). The design in this study used an experimental research design called Posttest Only Control Group Design. Sampling in this study, namely the post-test in the experimental class using puppet media and the control class not using puppet media. The results obtained in this study, namely the existence of a significant influence on students' speaking skills. The average value of the experimental class was 69.71 and the control class was 66.36 and had an average difference of 3.3. To find out how the effectiveness of using paper puppet media in improving speaking skills, a hypothesis test using the t test is used, after the test, the Sig. (2- tailed) of 0.008 is smaller than 0.05. Because the value of Sig. (2-tailed) value is smaller than 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur imperatif yang terdapat di dalam film berjudul June & Kopi. Dengan demikian, dapat diketahui bahwa subjek penelitiannya merupakan sebuah film yang berjudul June & Kopi, sedangkan objek penelitiannya ialah tindak tutur imperatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kualitatif, penulis mendeskripsikan hasil temuan ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, dikaji oleh kajian pragmatik, yaitu tindak tutur. Berdasarkan teori, tindak tutur imperatif yang akan dideskripsikan memiliki 17 bentuk, di antaranya ialah imperatif perintah, imperatif suruhan, imperatif permintaan, imperatif permohonan, imperatif desakan, imperatif bujukan, imperatif imbauan, imperatif persilaan, imperatif ajakan, imperatif permintaan izin, imperatif mengizinkan, imperatif larangan, imperatif harapan, imperatif umpatan, imperatif pemberian ucapan selamat, imperatif anjuran, dan imperatif ngelulu. Hasil temuan yang telah didapatkan dalam penelitian ini ialah terdapat 53 tuturan imperatif perintah, 1 tuturan imperatif suruhan, 15 tuturan imperatif permintaan, 5 tuturan imperatif permohonan, 7 tuturan imperatif desakan, 1 tuturan imperatif bujukan, 6 tuturan imperatif imbauan, 14 tuturan imperatif ajakan, 3 tuturan imperatif permintaan izin, 5 tuturan imperatif mengizinkan, 13 tuturan imperatif larangan, 2 tuturan pemberian ucapan selamat, 1 tuturan imperatif anjuran, dan 1 tuturan imperatif ngelulu. Berdasarkan data yang telah ditemukan, maka dalam penelitian ini hanya terdapat 14 bentuk tuturan imperatif. Hasil akhir dalam penelitian ini merupakan merancang media pembelajaran berbasis audio visual pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi teks prosedur serta ditujukan kepada peserta didik atau guru yang berada di kelas XI tingkat SMA/SMK.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe (1) The elements contained in the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye, (2) Study of literary psychology in the novel si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study is the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye which depicts the life struggles of a child in literary works. To make it more specific, there is a literary psychological theory explained, namely Sigmund Freud’s Theory (Id, Ego, Super ego). This novel story can be used as an alternative literature teaching material in high school because it suits students’ needs.

Abstract

This study focuses on the stylistic meaning in the form of figures of speech and imagery contained in the eleven songs in the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band. The researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the stylistic meaning in the form of figures of speech and imagery elements in the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band. In this study, the researcher describes the results of the study of the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band according to the research object. Based on the results of the discussion of Stylistic Analysis in the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band, the following conclusions are obtained. 1. The results of the stylistic analysis in the form of figures of speech and imagery of the eleven songs in the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band provide quite diverse messages and meanings. Each of the eleven songs has its own uniqueness and diversity. 2. The results of the analysis show that there are 121 data that state figures of speech in the Memorandum album by the Perunggu band with the results of 88 data stating comparison figures of speech and 33 data stating link figures of speech. As well as 84 data that state the imagery on the Memorandum album by the band Perunggu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis unsur intrinsik dan nilai religius dalam Hikayat Bayan Budiman saduran Ekawati (2016) serta merumuskan rekomendasi pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan ajar sastra pada jenjang SMA. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari meningkatnya fenomena perselingkuhan dan KDRT di Indonesia yang berdampak pada krisis moral dan perlunya pendidikan karakter melalui sastra. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis, mengacu pada teori struktur sastra Nurgiyantoro dan konsep nilai religius menurut Jauhari. Data diperoleh melalui teknik baca dan catat terhadap delapan cerita dalam hikayat, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskripsi dan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap episode hikayat memuat unsur intrinsik yang kuat, seperti tema moralitas dan kebijaksanaan, alur maju, tokoh yang merepresentasikan keteladanan dan konflik, latar sosial-budaya Melayu klasik, sudut pandang orang ketiga, serta gaya bahasa hiperbola, personifikasi, dan metafora. Nilai religius yang ditemukan meliputi aspek keimanan, ketakwaan, penghindaran maksiat, amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, syukur, kejujuran, dan pengendalian diri yang tergambar melalui nasihat Burung Bayan serta perilaku tokoh lain. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa hikayat tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai karya estetis tetapi juga sebagai media edukatif yang kuat dalam membentuk karakter. Berdasarkan analisis Kurikulum Merdeka, hikayat ini relevan untuk dijadikan bahan ajar melalui e-modul karena sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran terkait analisis teks naratif, nilai kehidupan, dan pengembangan kreativitas siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Hikayat Bayan Budiman layak diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran sastra modern sebagai sarana penguatan nilai moral dan religius peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Found Poetry model on the poetry writing skills of Grade XI students at SMAN 6 Karawang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach using a posttest-only control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class treated with the Found Poetry model and a control class using conventional learning. The instrument used was a poetry writing test based on the assessment aspects proposed by Waluyo (2003), namely diction, imagery, figurative language, rhyme/rhythm, typography, theme, feeling, tone, message, and unity of the poem. The analysis results showed a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental and control classes. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 35.70, while the control class scored 23.67. The t-test results showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a positive influence of the Found Poetry model on students' poetry writing skills. Thus, Found Poetry is proven effective and can serve as an alternative method for teaching poetry writing at the senior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the personality structure of the main characters in the short story collection Keluarga dan Silsilah Suka Duka by Ismail Basbeth. This research is motivated by the increasing number of mental health problems among adolescents, which are often triggered by family conflict, social pressure, and unstable psychological development. Examining the personality structure of literary characters is important because it provides insight into how an individual’s personality is formed through internal conflicts, value struggles, and self-control processes. The subjects of this study consist of five selected short stories that contain themes and events closely related to adolescents’ daily lives and are suitable for use as learning materials. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis and note-taking techniques to identify the presence of id, ego, and superego within the main characters. The results show that the short story “Televisi” contains nine personality data (four id, three ego, two superego); “Tinju Api” contains seven (three id, two ego, two superego); “Poligami” contains six (two id, two ego, two superego); “Pesugihan” contains six (three id, three ego, and no superego); and “Maryam” contains nine (three id, three ego, three superego).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model on the poetry writing learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at Al-Muslih Junior High School in Karawang. In this study, the Project Based Learning model was applied to poetry writing lessons in the eighth grade at Al-Mushlih Junior High School in Karawang. The method used in this study was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. Data were obtained from pre- and post-tests. After the prerequisite tests were met, consisting of normality tests, homogeneity tests, and n-gain tests using SPSS version 25, the data were analysed using a t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in the pre-test scores between the pre-test and post-test. This was evidenced by the average score improving from 54.0 to 76.8. The n-gain test results from this study indicate that the Project-Based Learning model is effective when applied to poetry writing instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur intrinsik dan emosi tokoh-tokoh utama dalam novel Sebelas Malam karya Firdhani Zihan yang terbit pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripstif analitik yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta berupa unsur-unsur intrinsik dengan menggunakan teori Nurgiyantoro. Selain itu, digunakan juga untuk menganalisis emosi tokoh dengan menggunakan teori klasifikasi emosi David Krech. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tema utama novel ini mengenai penerimaan diri dengan plot campuran. Tokoh utama novel ini adalah Amani dan Haikal. Latar tempat novel ini, yaitu rumah, kampus, dan stasiun. Latar waktu novel ini, yaitu pagi hari, sore hari, malam hari, dan setiap tanggal satu, serta latar sosial-budayanya yakni menggambarkan kehidupan dua keluarga yang tinggal di kota. Sudut pandang yang digunakan adalah persona ketiga “Dia” terbatas. Diksi yang digunakan adalah bahasa sehari-hari, dengan adanya penggunaan bahasa asing, bahasa gaul, dan bahasa daerah. (2) Emosi tokoh yang muncul pada tokoh Amani adalah konsep rasa bersalah, rasa bersalah yang dipendam, menghukum diri sendiri, rasa malu, kesedihan, kebencian, dan cinta. Sementara itu, Emosi yang muncul pada tokoh Haikal adalah rasa malu.

Abstract

Karya sastra lahir sebagai cerminan realitas sosial yang diungkapkan pengarang melalui pengalaman, pandangan, serta kepekaan terhadap fenomena masyarakat. Melalui cerpen, pengarang menyampaikan pesan-pesan yang selaras dengan norma sosial yang berkembang dalam kehidupan sosial pembacanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam cerpen “Kado dari Guru Honor” karya Beatrix Polen Aran, “Baju Baru” karya Yulizar Lubay, “Keropak Masjid” karya Eep Saepulloh Fatah, “Tiga Kuburan Lain” karya T. Agus Khaidir, “Jasa Perancang Doa” karya A. Djoyo Mulyono, dan “Perempuan Berjari Enam” karya Boiman Damanik yang dipublikasikan di laman Kompas.id. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Analisis penelitian berfokus pada pengungkapan nilai sosial yang meliputi nilai kasih sayang, nilai tanggung jawab, dan nilai keserasian hidup sebagai representasi interaksi sosial dalam keenam cerpen tersebut.
