Abstract

Characteristics of learning in high school physics material contain the needs of learners to think critically. The reality in the field showed Padang 8 senior high school exercise of learning physics is already using the materials, but not yet apply critical thinking ability of studensts. One of the solutions can be taken by develope  learning materials which there learning model with increase critical thinking ability. This research has purrpose  to produce learning materials improved critical thinking ability in material measurement and a decent vector with validity and practicalities. This includes research was conducted type of Research and development (R&D). Type of this research was a research and development by Sugiyono’s model. Data analysis techniques used, namely the analysis of the validity of the product and the analysis of the responses of teachers and students towards products. The resulting research products are on a very valid criteria with an average value of 88.58% and the response of teachers and students towards products that generated very good.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the non-optimal achievement of competence of learners to physics. To improve the competence of learners, developed teaching material in sheet form K0erja Students (LKPD) Complexity Oriented Content and Cognitive Processes.This study included research into the types of development (research and development). The development model used is the model 4-D comprising the step of defining (define), design (design), development (development), and the spread (disseminate). LKPD trials conducted prior to 5 people validator. Furthermore LKPD tested the practicality of the two teachers and a large number of learners. The final stage of this study is testing the effectiveness is limited to a number of learners.Validity test results obtained LKPD overall average value of 3.00, test the practicalities of teachers SMAN 4 Padang obtained an average value of 3.37 as well as the practicalities of test results obtained learners speserta average value of 3.37. Based on these results, we can conclude that Complexity Content Student and Cognitive Process Worksheet generated in the category valid and practical. While the effectiveness of the test results obtained by value Student Worksheet gain a score of 0.47, meaning that the researchers developed of Student Worksheet that are in the moderate category and can be used to improve the competence of learners

Abstract

Student's interest and motivation toward physics is still low. One of the reasons is that the teaching materials used are not yet varied and the lesson model used by the teacher is less able to invite the students to find and solve the physics problem, so that the students are less interested and active in the learning that causes the low of the students. To overcome this, conducted research that aims to determine the effect of LKPD application of generative learning model on the ability of students of class XI SMAN 12 Padang. The population in pre-experimental studies with a one-shot case study design was the students of grade XI in SMAN 12 Padang enrolled in the 2017/2018 school year. In this research, experiments conducted without controlling for the variables being moderate and not preferred are. Samples in this research using purposive sampling technique. Assessment instruments used in the measurement of observation, knowledge competence in the worksheet. The data generated in this study were analyzed using regression test for knowledge and usage competence. Based on data analysis that has been done, obtained data for. In the attitude competence of students to increase every week. In the knowledge competence increases after being given treatment with percentage of influence> 18%. While the competence of teachers percentage of influence> 13%. Can be concluded that there is influence of LKPD application of generative learning model to student of class XI SMAN 12 Padang.

Abstract

This research is motivated that the teaching materials used can not activate the students. The teaching materials used are printed materials containing materials, sample questions and evaluation. These teaching materials make learners memorize the formula instead of mastering the concept. This study aims to produce products such as CSP and LKPD oriented guided inquiry on a matter of momentum and impulse in Physics valid, practical, and effective. This research is a research development (research anddevelopment) using 4D development model. The model consists of four phases: define (definition), stage design (design), develop phase (development), and disseminate stage (dissemination). However, this study is only done until the stage of development (development). The data of the research are analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the research that has been done, the product produced in the form of RPP and LKPD oriented guided inquiry. Product research is categorized as very valid aspects and LKPD completeness RPP, RPP eligibility and LKPD contents, use of language and LKPD RPP, and kegrafisan LKPD using guided inquiry learning model component with an average value of 93.4 to 93.7 for the RPP and LKPD. Products are categorized very practical research by teachers with an average value of 88.4 to 86.9 for the RPP and LKPD, as well as practical by learners with an average value of 82.9. Product research is also effective in improving learners' test results based on comparative testing correlates with the acquisition t_hitung = -14.74 and T_ (table) = 1.7, so t calculate <t table (table), which means that this LKPD effective for use in learning.

Abstract

Creativity of educator in the learning process is the key to improve the competence of learners. One way is by developing teaching materials creatively to attract learners to learn. Using animated story based handout is an alternative to improve the competence of learners. This study aims to investigate the Effect of animated story based handout in POE's learning model to the achievement of student competencies at the SMP N 7 Padang. This research classified into Quasi Experiment research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The research population was all students in grade VII registered in the academic year 2015/2016. The technique sampling was cluster random sampling.. Research data includes knowledge competencies, skills and attitude. The research instrument is in the form of a written test for competency knowledge, scorring rubric for competency skills and observation sheet for competence of attitude. Data were analyzed using statistical test of equality of two average (t-test) and chi square test. The result of the knowledge competencies show experimental class and control class different significantly on the real level of significant 0,05. This difference is believed to be the effect of the treatment given to the experimental class, so that it can be said that hypothesis is accepted.  Then, for skills and attitude competence, data was analyzed using chi square test. The result shows there are no significant effect of using treatment given, so that it can be said that hypothesis is not accepted on the significance level 5% and dk 1

Abstract

Lack of motivation in learning is one of the factors causing low competens of learners. Motivation of students can be increased through contextual learning, authentic, as well as close to the lives of learners. That matter can be done by integrated real problems and issues which is growing into the learned process. The problem can be integrated form of natural disasters such as smog. Ability of troubleshooting can be improved through learning used the problem base learning model. One of them is cooperative problem base learning. There two purpose of this research is : 1) to investigate whether the influences of LKPD Which Means integrated fog material immediately Against Competence Learners 2) investigated contribution of LKPD which is integrated smog for the competence of learners. Operational research is a quasi-experimental design with randomized control group study design only. The population of research is all member learners levels X MIPA registered even on semester of Academic Year 2015/2016. Samples were taked using cluster random sampling technique. Research data is competence of learners at knowledge, attitude, skill competence and the value of LKPD integrated smog. The instruments for measured knowledge competence is final test, for measured attitude competence is observation sheet and for measured skill competence is work method assessment sheet. Research data were analyzed with prayer equality test average and regression test and correlation. Prayer equality test performed on average to review rated kompetence learners both classes. Regression and correlation performed to review rated kompetence learners with LKPD value. Results showed differences are average value of both class the significant between each kompetence samples for review, where the experimental classes have an average of more high. Through correlation gained significance level of competence penegatahuan relationship value value LKPD was enough with strong, with fg contributions LKPD 45.42%. Competence values relationship significance attitude with LKPD value is strong, with fg LKPD contribution of 62.92%. Values relationship skills kompetence significance with LKPD value is strong, with fg LKPD contribution of 78.58%.

Abstract

Permendikbud 20 Tahun 2018 tentang Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter pada satuan pendidikan formal dan Permenristekdikti nomor 44 tahun 2015 tentang Standar Nasional untuk Pendidikan Tinggi, hingga sikap "taat kepada Tuhan yang maha kuasa dan harus bisa bersikap religius".Berlatarbelakang masalah refleksi awal bahwa belum optimal sikap religius mahasiswa yang terkait dengan pemahaman fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk penguatan sikap religius melalui analisa fisika gravitasi dengan pembuatan Mind Map bernuasa hikmah pada perkuliahan mekanika. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model Kemmis & Taggart. Tahapan penelitian : perencanaan, implementasi, observasi dan refleksi. Materi mekanika partikel dan sistem partikel dengan konsep utama "gravitasi".Instrumen berupa penilaian aktivitas pembuatan lembar Mind Map gravitasi dan penguatan sikap religius.Populasi adalah mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti kuliah mekanika tahun akademik 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel termasuk cluster Random sampling.Data bersifat kualitatif.Teknik analisis data dengan persentase, dihitung sesuai jumlah indikator pada instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Mind Map gravitasi bernuansa hikmah dapat menumbuhkan penguatan sikap religius pada perkuliahan mekanika. Kategori sikap religius "Sangat Dimiliki" mengalami kenaikan rata-rata yang signifikan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 34.56 %, dimana 36.67 % di siklus I naik menjadi 71.23 % di siklus II. Peningkatan ini dapat diartikan bahwa telah terjadi penguatan sikap religius mahasiswa setelah mempelajari mekanika gravitasi. Kata kunci: mekanika, gravitasi, sikap religius

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media interaktif berbasis kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu tahap observasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring. Hasil analisis data dari pretest dan postest, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini telah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan pada akhir kegiatan pelatihan, diperoleh hasil bahwa peserta menyatakan kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan berkaitan dengan pembelajaran di sekolah

Abstract

The utilization of local wisdom in presentation of physics material of high school grade XI by physics education students is still not optimal. This indicates that the students who careless by sense of environmental. Physics learning resources in daily activities such as local wisdom needed to provide. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of physics concepts to local wisdom of West Sumatra culture as an effort to improve the character of environmental care. The type of research is qualitative research with survey method. Data collected by questionnaires, interviews, document analysis, field notes and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Analyzed techniques of data which be used qualitative data techniques with steps are data reduction, presentation, conclusion and verification as data analyzed techniques. Result of the research is physics concepts of Rumah Gadang. First, although the Rumah Gadang roof was made of palm fiber but it still survive from leakage problems and wind exposure. The functions of the roofing of the Rumah Gadang are: (1) to increase the speed of the rain falling into the roof, (2) minimize the momentum on the roof, (3) projecting the force of the wind in all directions so that the wind is not trapped on the roof of the Rumah Gadang, 4) made of adhesive between kitchen ash with a good palm fiber (deep layer of palm fiber ), and 5) water deposition on the bad side of palm fiber (outer layer of palm fiber) so that it will be rise to back the surface of the roof through the capillarity mechanism. Second, the wall with a hollow layer can reduce the heat from outside the walls during the day so the air in the room is not as hot as the outside and the heat that has flowing in the room will be trapped by the wall so that air is not too cold at the night. Third, old pole serves as a reference to determine the equalibrium of Rumah Gadang and the poles are made with a slope which opposite direction on two sides (left and right house). This can be create a stable of equalibrium Rumah Gadang. Fourth, a stone of fondation that has a diameter greater than the diameter of the milestone can serve to minimize the fictive forces generated by the soil due to the occurrence of the earthquake. Fifth, the staircase made with a certain slope provides a distinct mechanical advantage for the visitor where the where the produced work made becomes as easier. The conclusions of this research indicates this study provide one of the efforts to improve the character of environmental care in physics learning.

Abstract

Clay in West Sumatra has been used as a natural dye for batik, so the batik is known as clay batik. The dyeing of the cloth is done by boiling and soaking the clay together with the cloth for 10 days. The color of the fabric is caused by certain elements present in the clay. Currently, no one has investigated the changes in elemental content due to the dyeing process. This research aims to investigate the changes in the concentration of the elements that affect the color of the fabric. Samples were taken from 4 areas, namely Solok, Sijunjung, Lima Puluh Kota, and Pesisir Selatan with a total of 8 samples, of which 4 samples were measured before the staining process and 4 more samples after the staining process. Changes in the elemental content of clay were investigated using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The results of the study showed changes in the content of the dominant element, namely Al, Si, and Fe contained in samples CL-PYKLN 2A and CL-TJG GDG 210422. While the samples CL-PSB-SJJ 210421 and CL-SPPS 1 210314 the change in the concentration of the elemental content was not too significant. The elements that cause colored cloth are all elements in clay, but the dominant element in coloring cloth is Fe.
